A nice lovely hostel In the heart of Dong Hoi Quang Binh. Great staff that speaks good English. Soft beds, amazing view over Nhat le River and bridge! Also we have the one and only pub in Dong Hoi!

Went there for 4 nights, the staff is just awesome. Want to take a break and chill, let’s go the beach bar, free shuttle and the drinks are cheap. Enjoy the sunset. Chill and clean the beach is a must stop. Thanks guys.

Buffalo is one of the better hostels I have stayed in in Vietnam. We stayed here 2 nights but if we weren’t on a time limit would definitely stay longer. The bar downstairs offers a range of beers and spirits, both western and Vietnamese food and a pool table. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and decent air con however lacking in light and room for your backpack. Buffalo also have their own beach bar, a 5 minute drive from the hostel which is newly renovated and looks incredible. The real winner here though is the staff, as soon as we got here their relaxed vibes rubbed off on us. We were offered refreshments and there was no rush to check in and take our money. The staff are incredibly accommodating, driving us to the beach bar both days with a free beer on arrival! The vibe here is great, a chill hostel with great staff.

- BED BUGS in the bunk beds room !!!!! - When i am try to refill a bottle with water staff are scream to me "You are not allowed to use a free water. This water only for staff. All foreigners need to buy a bottle". Its my first experience when i cannot use a free drinking water in the hostel !!! Why staff can use a cooler with water and guests not ??? - Room very small and dirty - Aircon has working very bad. Very hot in the room. - Impossible to close a door to dormitory room - Staff can't help me with any question Never come back !!!!

That’s not saying much. Not really a travellers destination, not much to do apart from the caves. Hostel is ok, room was basic but clean, pub area is nice and cheap but the food isn’t that great. They let you pick music to play and they show the football which is good. Best location for being in the town but there some more hostel future up near the beach but out of the way. Would recommend it if you’re spending a couple of nights in Dong Hoi

Very homely feel, western catered pub (for better or worse), pool table, on the riverfront in a beautiful little city contrasted with the chaos of Hanoi. Bartender/hostel owner very attentive and helped us to book our tour to the paradise/dark caves the night before the trip. Best beds I’ve slept on in Vietnam. Only downsides were the toilet didn’t flush (but various others in the building) and no locks on room doors but still a safe place to be.
