A group of us stayed in nam long for a number of months last year whilst we were working in Dong Hoi. We all the best time here, welcomed and looked after by a group of staff who treated us like family for the entire length if our stay, cooked our food every day to take to work with us. Rooms cleaned daily and a great generally great place to stay, perfect location, evrrything you need is within walking distance. The phong nha national park only a half an hour drive away which can be sorted out by the staff here for you. You will not be dissapointed with a stay at the nam long, if you are looking for a homely loving place to stay this is the place to be, with staff who go above and beyond Thank you once again to everyone at nam long for the most pleasent stay.

Lovely place! Rooms were clean, had great air con and quite spacious.
The staff are incredible. Got some laundry done and my mates pants weren’t given back to us. When we told them, they were so concerned and found them within half an hour for her :)
Highly recommended, close to the river and a bunch of great little places to eat surround it too!

Mr. Huynh and his family were extremely helpful and welcoming! I stayed in the dorms and it was perfect for three days in Dong Hoi. The beds are comfy and the dorm room is very clean! Very well maintained! This is your best bet in Dong Hoi if you're on a budget!

The staff was lovely, and helpful from beginning to end.
Solid place to stay as a lunching point for excursions. Next to some nice restaurants / coffee shops like Tree Hugger.
Rooms are a bit loud as the hallways echo and you can hear every slam and conversation happening in the hallways and service rooms. If you're trying to get to bed early for an excursion - I was kept up and and woken up throughout the night.

My husband and I stayed at Nam Long for 3 nights on our trip up the Vietnamese coast and we couldn't recommend it more. We stayed in the spacious, clean dorm rooms on the top floor and were thrilled with the balcony that overlooked the water and city on all sides. It was the perfect morning and evening seat for journalling and taking in the scenery.
It wasn't just the room that earned our praise though. The staff was beyond incredible. They took us in like family and answered any and all questions we had about culture, life, and their country and went out of their way to make us comfortable.
On our last evening as we waited for the night bus to pick us up, the lovely sisters at the front (sorry we didn't ever get your names) served us hot tea to warm us up on the rainy day and visited with us like old friends. We felt like we could stay forever.
This hotel went down into our notebooks to be remembered if we ever end up on Ding Hoi again. Thank you Nam Long!

It's a amazing place in the center of Vietnam. The staff is lovely and very helpful all the time. About rooms, are very comfortable, with big beds and very clean too. The village is very beautiful, calm and relaxing and the local people is very kind. If you want to have a great days and visit caves too, don't forget this place!!

Let me start by saying the fact that there are 400+ very good or excellent reviews and only 12 poor or terrible reviews should show you what you need to know.
The owner greeted us at 6:30am (we’d just arrived on a sleeper bus). He was warm and welcoming and said we could have breakfast after we’d checked in. He was slightly annoyed with himself that he couldn’t offer us a shower but the hotel was completely full!
He greeted people as they came down for breakfast and asked what plans they had for the day. He offered advice, based on the weather, if they should visit only one or both caves (dark caves involves swimming and a mud pool). We went out on our excursion (his wife kindly calling them to make sure they had the right address) and when we came back he asked if we’d had a good time (even though we went with a competitor).
We checked in to the room on the third floor (no elevator as a word of warning) and the room was lovely but the balcony was amazing with gorgeous views of Dong Hoi.
If you look at the care and attention he has gone to to reply to the negative comments, you get an idea of how much pride he has in his establishment. While we were there he was replacing broken stones in the lobby (that’s maintenance to the people who complain about tools and work being done!)

Excellent hotel. Clean super friendly staff! Felt very well taken care of. Great breakfast and tours booked through them were fantastic! Free bikes. I would highly recommend them. Dong Hoi lovely town.

Very nice place to stay.. if you don't mind stairs
We were on the 4th floor with no left.
But staff helped carry our luggage so it was ok.
Rooms were clean and bed made daily.

Good staying. This the first tim i come Dong How i stay at Nam Long hotel. I have been here for one week.Hotel in the city center and near Nhat Le beach so very convenient for travelling. In the hotel have a lot of good facilities. Around hotel also have local restaurant and park it very easy for you go to eat or go out when i want. In very rooms have enough equipment to service for me .The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast have many food very delicious it is really suitable for me. Drinks also very good .Staff are friendly, kind, enthusiasm they are always helps me when i need them .I feel the most friendly of all hotel I have ever come when i stay in here i feel like at my home. I will come back here when i have time if I come back more time I will go travelling famous place in Dong Hoi and I still stay at Nam Long hotel . A special in this hotel also have tour guide. They will guide for me when i want to go travelling .Let's go to Nam Long hotel I believe that you will enjoy this hotel like me when you come Nam Long hotel.
