Second time I've stayed here. Large room, nice bathroom. Food in banquet room was awesome. Two issues: 1. TV in room did not work. 2. Breakfast was okay, but many hot items were not hot. Espresso machine was broken on third morning.
I stayed at the 7th Floor, stayed there for 4 nights for business purpose. - Room was good - Other service was good - Took some time to buy the movie in my room. - The hotel stuffs tried their best to understand me and help me. - Suddenly one night had a blackout in my room at 4 am (i freaked out however, they fixed it within 10 mins) - Shopping mall is nearby. - Breakfast is good - Japanese restaurant on the first floor is infact awesome, had my best food on that trip over there. - after 9 pm is dark as hell outside. - THE LOBBY IS REALLY GRAND.
The hotel room I had was the good highlight of my experience, although surface clean, the mirrors were streaky and very often I would find long lack hairs in the wash basin and toilet, indicating transference by cloth from another room. Although the breakfast food was acceptable, most mornings the restaurant was more like a canteen, overfull to the point of being uncomfortable. The restaurant had four table that were roped-off and signed for "Long Stay Guests", but this was ignored by most people. On the whole breakfast and evening meal was an uncomfortable experience. The buffet food in the evening was same same, so after a few days boring, No potatoes in the selection only rice and fried pasta (their words not mine). The menu choice and quality were not good. There were nights when the restaurant was closed to hotel guests who were attending one of the many hotel functions, leaving the option of the Chinese or Japanese restaurants, which are not single person friendly. The options to eat elsewhere as a foreigner alone are not very good, so quite reliant on the hotel. The fitness area, swimming pool and sauna were quite good, but unfortunately many of the people were not. They just dump stuff anywhere, towels left on the floor, in the sauna and the benches, cups left on the floor sauna and benches. People spitting everywhere, even in the sauna. People smoking in the areas, which most people don't need when recovering from breathless exercise. I understand the hotel cannot be held responsible for the guests or club members actions, but maybe the staff could press them a little more to be more considerate. The bar was always close to empty and the prices outrageous. A Tsingtao beer was more than 50 rmb, where the hotel had vending machine with the same beer for 10 rmb. Having read other reviews about this hotel, I believe I am in a minority or the other people only spent a short period there. An example is that I read most of the staff spoke English, yes they could greet you in English, but maybe only one of many could answer any queries with English. The staff on the whole were very pleasant and anxious to please. If I had to return to this area again, I believe I would opt to stay in Jiaxing at an International hotel.…
Gorgeous hotel. Professional and responsive staff. Breakfast was great. Fitness center and pool were excellent facilities. Good location near a park which I ran in before work/ meetings. My room had a large tub and shower, and was very nice. If you prefer non smoking, definitely state you'd like a non smoking floor or part of the building.
I worked in Tongxiang and stayed at the hotel. The comfort and luxury are present in all sectors of the hotel. The international restaurant caters to those who are not accustomed to Chinese cuisine. The location is also interesting, as this next has a large public park.
From check in to check out, hotel staff very accomodating. Room had a very homely warm feel due to the intriguing well thought out interior decorating, including all marble floors, many mirrors, but most of all was the cleanliness of all parts of the room and bathroom, which portrayed a shining brilliance, and showed their guests that housekeeping took their jobs seriously. The linen, quilts, bed were all fresh and very comfortable conducive for a good nights rest. The shower stall seemed a bit small, and the shower spray could have had some more spray positions. The rain shower nozzle and pressure and temperature were excellent. Could have used some small wash cloths which most five star hotels do have. The tile floor tapestry in dining hall is beautiful, and main lobby is magnificent. This hotel can definitely win an award in design and architecture as it seems to be a combination of baroque, european, western, and chinese all rolled in to one! Would definitely return!…
this hotel could be a palast. you wouldn't expect anything like that in the area of tongxiang. the floor is marble all the accessories are gold. it's a very fancy hotel. the service is very good and discrete. I think this is the only place you should/can stay in tongxiang....
This is a good Chinese luxury hotel. You get nice and clean room with a lot of space, sockets and a nice bathroom. Only negative aspect wifi did not work. Prices are low for European std. Good choice if you must stay in this city
My stay has been extremely satisfying and this one has been the best out of several properties i stayed in china. the level of comfort, grand rooms and superb spa are the key to this. There are several tea serving lounges outside the hotel.
Attended a conference here and was very impressed. An imposing and grand hotel with excellent facilities and service. My room was very well appointed and standard of housekeeping was to a high standard, though I did find it difficult to get a comfortable temperature as the aircon didn’t seem to do much. Service was prompt, helpful and very friendly. Good selection of restaurants, though the bar is a little small - but compensated for by helpful and attentive staff. Management should be very satisfied with the overall performance of staff in the hotel. A little tip, take an eye mask because there are so many LEDs that the room isn’t dark at night. These are only little niggles and I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in this area.
