Living in China for 3 years now, I've visited many water towns in many different cities. I was a little reluctant as I figured any Hotel here probably would not have heat as so many do not this time of year & at this latitude. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! Not only was Central heating included and functional but the...

WuZhen has a very efficient manner for check-in for stay at the village (see my other review on Wuzhen). Upon entry to West Village, there is a centralised check-in counters for you to pay for the accommodation, buy the entrance tickets and also to leave your luggage to be sent to the guest house or hotel you are staying. Peaceful, quiet placed tucked away off the main walkway. I was in building #56B and the closest landmark is the candy shop and the large open courtyard area. Room #2570 has a beautiful view of the canal. When I was here I was part of a group tour of teachers. Room #2570 has two double-beds. However, by European or North...

This was my first stay in a Chinese guest house...owners have about five or six guest rooms each. The owners cook in a small kitchen in their private area...breakfast can be included in your rate...lunch and dinner are paid seperately. My traveling companions and I had two rooms...we ate lunch last Saturday after arriving at the allocated guest house. Yesterday...

Did not get the family home feeling some people told about at the Wuzhen Guesthouse, but it is still a great place to stay and has everything you need. Wuzhen is very touristic, but a beatiful small city worth visiting!

This is a hidden gem. I didn't want to leave. It is so beautiful to be here. You feel as if you are taken back in time. The staff throughout is really great. There are shops throughout and water views everywhere you look. Taking a boat ride makes you feel as if you are going back in time. I went...

We had wanted to go to Wuzhen as a day trip but on the strong recommendation of a friend, decided to stay one night in Wuzhen Guest House in Xi Zha. It was a good decision. The room we stayed in (House 37) is well maintained with modern facilities (wifi, good water pressure, clean sheets etc). The windows opened out...
