Detailed Reviews
Stayed for 3 nights on a Leger Holidays tour to Arnhem. Having had a bad experience at the Fletcher Hotel at Doorwerth-Arnhem we were a little apprehensive of staying here. However we were pleasantly surprised!
Room was of a fair size with decor in the mode of a British Travelodge. There was a safe but no fridge or kettle. Our room had a balcony but as it was on the first floor and directly above the hotel entrance where the smoking crew gathered it was rather spoilt by smoke drifting into the room when we tried to use it. Perhaps a designated smoking area away from the entrance would be a good idea? There was plenty of sockets in the room but only one adjacent to the bed. Limited wardrobe space but enough for a 2 or 3 night stay. Bathroom had a bathtub and powerful hand shower but the lighting was fairly dismal. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss, we requested fresh towels which we received but the old towels were not taken away.
We were disappointed that the main bar was closed during our stay but the restaurant staff were happy to serve drinks in the lounge area next to the restaurant.
Reception staff were also obliging. Lovely indoor swimming pool and the area was cleaned every morning to high standard.

room comfy and of good size. breakfast geared toward local rather than international travellers. had lunch on one day ordered salad very disappointed with offering. did not use restaurant in evening so cannot comment on that.
Pool looked good but did not get time to make use of it.
Hotel seems like a good location for walkers/hikers.

This is the third time I have stayed and always so welcoming. Nice rooms plenty of parking and convenient for all activities in the region. Close to all the Airborne memorials museums in a lovely woodland setting. With pool etc and bicycles for hire wonderful for a stay in the area.

Rooms are a bit old, might need refurbishment. Room with 2x 2 personsbed was pretty huge, even a very small balcony. Very unfriendly and unhelpfull staff, even rude sometimes. They even tried to charge a room which we couldn't check-in due to them losing the key and telling us we checked it in. We forgot to gave back the borrowed fan and we were send back to pick it up from the room otherwise they will give us a €50,- fine, also the tone of voice of telling us this was atleast rude. Breakfast was very slow to none refill with breads etc.

I actually never done a hotel review because it just bit the exciting a part of the trip. However, had to do one for those place as it is absolutely filthy. We think maybe the house cleaning wasn’t done but can’t even be sure because it is very old as well. Seemed to have 2 used towers in the room where we arrived. Everything is dirty. Had to use a headlamp in the shower because it’s actually dark in there. The whole hotel is kind of dark and dungeons though except the dining room. Weirdest thing is that the the corner of our room had sort old discarded couch cushion in the corner with food on it.

A very nice hotel and comfortable rooms containing beds with superb mattresses and quality linen. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good, a large selection. Nice lounge but price for a glass of wine was prohibitive.

At the end of a road through the woods is this delightful hotel buried in the woods.
Very polite and helpful staff.
Good bar and restaurant area with reasonably priced menu and plenty of choice and efficiently served.
Breakfast offers plenty of choice
Plenty of parking and with a bicycle or walking woods to explore within easy reach of Ginkel Heath, Renkum and Oosterbeek with the Arnhem Museum.
The railway station at Wolfheze gives access to other areas including the City of Arnhem as well as Ede and the rest of the Netherlands.
A wonderful and peaceful base to explore the area.
Would highly recommend it and would be happy to come again.

We went for a long weekend to Wolfheze and stayed at the Bilderberg hotel. On the first night we tried the restaurant at the Fletcher hotel and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of both the food and the reasonable bill. Enough to make us come back the next evening! Try it, it's worth your money

Stayed for 3 nights in early February on a package including breakfast and one evening meal. Room was massive with 2 small very comfortable double beds and because of the quiet location of the hotel in the woods slept perfectly. Hotel is modern and very comfortable. The cosy lounge had a lovely wecoming fire burning and was perfect for a spot of relaxation with a book and drink. There is a fantastic indoor pool long enough for serious swimming if wanted. The hotel is well located for motorways and within easy reach for visits to Arnhem, Nijmegen and Het Loo Palace at Apeldoorn. Restaurant was pleasant and food good, both breakfasts and evening dining. Hotel would work well in summer too with pleasant grounds and access to woods with walks or cycling safe and interesting.
