Absolutely perfect visit. Will definitely always stay here whenever in Gangtok! For book lovers, this is highly recommended as the bookstore part and the rooms have very unique and interesting and lesser heard of books. Adding to the delightful stay. The owner is a very nice person and of course impeccably kept rooms.

For me it was the ideal combination of my two favourites - books and coffee. And Bookman's B&B provided both! The room was clean and cosy. The owner went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable, even helped us to connect with local cabbies. The food cooked by his wife was simply delicious. You need to tell them in advance, which we did. We also enjoyed browsing through the books and the breakfast at the cafe. I bought a book by a northeast writer, which is rare to find. One of the best places I have stayed in so far.

Bookman's is an excellent place to not only stay but it has a great cafe and a bookstore. The rooms are large and very comfortable, provided with all the basic amenities. The cafe downstairs is perfect for a chat over some Sikkim tea. The highlight of the place is the bookstore that rivals any I've seen in larger cities in terms of its collection of books. The host Raman was very helpful in suggesting places to eat. I would definitely come back and stay here on my next visit to Gangtok.

There's one word that comes to mind when you see the Red room and that's 'cosy' :) A bed you don't want to get out off, neatly done up room and bathroom and access to tea, coffee, medicines just outside the door. I liked Raman's professionalism, his helpful staff and the venue is possibly in the best location - close enough to the centre of town but still quiet. Definitely recommending Bookmans as a must stay in Gangtok. PS. Thank you for the additional help of sending out my postcards :)

We booked the BnB for a night. The place is very basic. The manager did not seem very hospitable. He gave us a very cold greeting and showed us around the room. We took the green room. Room was spacious and clean. However no basic toiletries were provided. The TV wasn't working. Wifi wasn't working as well. Food in Cafe Fiction was an utter disappointment. For the price you're going to shell here, might as well find something more comfortable in Gangtok.
