Visited this lovely friendly place yesterday. Ordered meals for 7 of us from a great menu. All meals served hot and thouroughly enjoyed. The homemade cheese and onion pie was delicious. The all day breakfast was a hit with my husband. Thank you for great service friendly staff, we will definately return

I wanted to send you guys a very quick email to tell you how appalled i am after the treatment of that of myself, children (i had under my care) and other families that visited the Raven Inn this evening. Today has been a act of remembrance and a day in which i am proud to have taken twenty five...

We are very sorry indeed to hear of your experience on Sunday night. Please understand that the comments of this lady, who I understand was a customer at the pub and not officially acting as a member of staff at the time, were her personal view and not those of the Raven Inn. We are appalled that you have had...

Booked in for a Sunday lunch, it was beautiful. The service was polite and courteous. The food was great and the ales were very tasty. Couldn't believe it was a community run pub, which made it all the more enjoyable. Many thanks.

This jewel of a pub was a lovely surprise after 16 miles of Offa's Dyke. Not only was the food amazing but the welcoming atmosphere of the volunteer staff made it hard to leave. This is how local, village pubs should feel...the centre of the community not just a place to drink alcohol.

This little hotel goes to show what a community can do when it woks together. we started our evening with friendly drinks in the bar, and then had a superb meal. We had a great overnight here. Comfortable, clean rooms and great service. This is a must visit and we will be back.

Spent one night there with a fellow walker while tackling the top end of Offa's Dyke Path. Unfortunately, the chef (in residence when we booked some weeks earlier) had left so an evening meal was not available - we had to obtain food from a community store in a neighbouring village before arrival at the Raven. However, the staff of...

Community run pub in small village. Room was like a small apartment - with microwave, fridge, two rings for cooking, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils etc provided, dining table and chairs and lounge chairs and TV - and ensuite shower and toilet. Very characterful. Community run shop 2 minutes walk for food essentials, newspapers etc. Accommodation is on room only...

That just about sums it up Sheena, thank you for your review. Just need to be aware that we don't open the pub on Mondays and that the shop hours are 7:30 until 5:30 during the week and a bit more restricted at weekends. See the village website for more information about this and the village in general. Hope to...

Darren, we are very happy that we exceeded your expectations on your stopover. You stayed on Thursday night and we (the locals) were still talking about your visit on Sunday and how much we enjoyed meeting you both. They say you get back what you're prepared to put in and you truly enriched the experience of the community volunteers who...

Three of us stayed here on Offa's Dyke Trail. Contacts with the volunteer staff who run it had been good in the run-up and we were met and shown our rooms by a charming lady. We had no choice of day so it was slightly unfortunate that the inn was closed on Mondays. This turned out to be a blessing...
