Checkin Bungalows Atlantida's central location earns high marks from guests for its proximity to local attractions, although reaching some rooms can be quite the hike. While the cleanliness of the hotel is generally adequate, a number of travelers have reported that rooms often fall short in terms of modernity and maintenance.
The ambiance is seen as outdated, with some guests disturbed by loud music and tired decor. Opinions on service and amenities are divided; visitors appreciate the clean pools and enjoyable food but have had mixed interactions with staff and call out the need for entertainment upgrades.

Detailed Reviews
We booked these apartments for a 10 day self catering new years holiday...we didn't pay much for the holiday so wasn't expecting much.we went self catering as we have been to the area many times before and knew there was plenty of restaurants and bars around to buy good food and drink.
On arrival the reception was friendly and quick to allocate our room..we had room 153 which was situated right next to the kiddy pool (if that's what it is). Our room was basic but clean..our window to the bedroom would not lock so I rang reception and within the hour a technician came and fixed the window which I thought was pretty good as we didn't arrive until late evening...
Our room was bang next to the kiddy pool and it gets very loud all morning and all day..there's not enough sun beds and you dont stand a chance of getting one as people put there towels on them the night before..we probably should have requested a room change as we dont have kids and was only really using the apartment as a base but it was too noisy every time we did go back..
In summary the apartment was basic but clean..the cleaners did a good job daily..staff was friendly and efficient..the pool areas are just not big enough for the capacity of people..you get what you pay for and it does what it says on the tin..its basic but clean..if you want a cheap place then it's ok but if your expecting 5 star then maybe not..we enjoyed our holiday and would probably return again

Dear guests, Thank you for choosing our hotel, and for taking the time to write a review! We are glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your accommodations, and, as you said, you didn´t expect a 5 stars service, because we are 3 stars hotel. We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel in the future. Sincerely, Virginia

Booked our week away last minute and was looking for a relatively cheap deal for a week in sun. The price was very reasonable, as people have mentioned it is a 3 star so don’t expect too much.
There are a only handful of sun beds at each pool and struggled to get one and those that were there had certainly seen better days. February isn’t a busy time so I hate to imagine what you would do for a sun bed in peak season!! Crazy to have hardly any in a complex so big.
When checking in at 2pm we were told room wouldn’t be ready for half hour, regular enquiring at reception and finally got in after 4:30. This was disappointing after long flight and in the heat. They were also unable to accommodate late check out when leaving despite the room being free and us witnessing it not been cleaned until much later in the day.
I’m glad we weren’t all inclusive as the food in the cave restaurant was awful, poor choice and standard. Even the bread was hard and didn’t think bread and butter would have been difficult to get right.
However the location is excellent not far from beach front and central to a range shops, bars and restaurants. There is a large Dino supermarket not far and prices in there much cheaper than the smaller street shops.
Never stayed in Los C before, always been Adeje, but would definitely return here as it’s a lovely place, perhaps a little less busy than Adeje and has a nicer ‘vibe’ I felt.
I would hope the Checkin Bungalows will take some of the reviews on board as by responding to some of these would make a visitors stay much more pleasurable. There are key improvements to be made and having such a central location it’s such a good opportunity to obtain returning customers if they make some changes.

Dear guest, Apologies for the small number of sunbeds at the pools, we took measures and we are going to replace them for new ones. Even if looks there is no guests at an apartment, it doesnt mean it is suitable to be occuped, maintenance or cleaning services are working on it. Sorry if you couldn´t have a late check out, but it depends of the availability and we are nearly fully booked. Sorry that you didn´t enjoy the restaurant, but we hope next time you visit Tenerife you can come back to Checkin Atlántida and check our progress, Thank you for your visit, Virginia

Was not as clean as it looks on the pictures online.
Apartments are adequate, bathrooms nice as recently updated but looks like not been cleaned properly for ages, had a big cobweb in my shower not just a few days old. Also above my sink cobwebs and spider, lots of tiny ants and a few cockroaches in my room as a big gap under front door, I put a towel accross to stop them getting in.
No A/C but you can hire a unit €100 or a fan €30.
No hairdryers in bathroom you can rent one €10 deposit refunded.
NOT suitable for those with mobility issues as too many ramps and steps, bungalows are various levels, we were at the top.
3 pools hardly any sunbeds, top pool adult one had 2 parasols, so never sat by the pools as was much too hot.
No atmosphere, no staff about the worst place we've ever stayed and we left 3 days early.

We spent 2 weeks in this hotel and our stay was wonderful! First of all although it is quite big, you don't see the crowds! There are 3 swimming pools at various places and people don't have to be squized in one site. Calm and peace, the appartments have their own kitchen and a living room, so we could prepare our own meals and eat outside on the terrace. What is the most important you don't need a car, since it is very well located, close to the beach, shops, bus stop and the city centre. We are planning to return in automne and spend at least 3-4 weeks. I recommend for those who don't like crowds and loud spaces. Also very good for families with children.

Just Remember 3*
——————————
Not much to say really!
Remembering it’s 3 stars, you literally get what you pay for!
Staff Great, made our family feel welcome!
Carlos from animation team was fantastic, our kids loved him!
Spent most of our time by the pool, great place apart from a large group of rowdy people jumping at any opportunity to take your sun bed off you.
Accommodation: our room was brilliant, right where it needed to be in order for everything to be accessible. More than big enough.
Drinks: I thought the drinks selection was brilliant. Named soft drinks Pepsi, 7up, Schweppes. Beer was brilliant considering it was carlsberg! Cocktails and spirits done the job! Self service juice and coffee.
Food: Bar snacks brilliant, relied heavily o n them for my kids. Food in restaurant got very repetitive after the first few days. I could do without eating pork and turkey for a very long time. Need better selection for kids.
Staff: Couldn’t fault any of the staff, only thing I’d say is probably have 1 more on the bar between 1-3, they’d go and help in the restaurant so you’d be waiting a good 10 minutes for a drink.
Facilities: couldn’t fault the facilities, few things need updating but they’ve started on the building work.
Only main thing I would say to the management is the following: get a system in place permanently for checking wrist bands for drinks and food as you had a large group of people ripping you off.
Other than that, see you next year! :)

I stayed with family in premium apartments as we wanted air con. When we arrived we had to wait for our room. Check-in is at 2pm, our room wasn’t ready until 3:30pm and when we finally got in, the toilet pipe was hanging off the wall, along with a kitchen cupboard!
The rooms are NOT cleaned!! Towels are only changed every other day and beds made, although on the last few days they only made one bed and left the other. We also come home to the toilet brush still in the toilet! On the first day, I noticed a big clump of hair in the walk in shower, this remained there for the duration of the holiday, along with another big clump that I added to see if it would be swept away!
The food is repetitive but you will be ok if you like pork as this was on the menu every single afternoon and evening!! The snack bar is awful!! It is run by one member of staff who also runs the bar! Food is undercooked, especially chips that came out still frozen!
There was a broken speaker in the cave where the entertainment was and it made a deafening screech! This was finally turned off by one of the entertainment team after 4 days of guests complaining! Entertainment is below par!!
Nearly all the staff are miserable, apart from the two entertainment staff and the lifeguard! (They are the only reason my review is 2 stars instead of 1!)
No inflatables allowed in the pool, including a soft football! You are however allowed a tiny ball!
Location is good thankfully, so you can venture out to other bars and restaurants. We ended up spending £1500.00 on top of what we paid because we felt the need to eat out and leave the hotel so much.
Would not recommend these apartments for all inclusive and would never stay here again.

We have just returned from 4 weeks over Christmas and loved it we had a premium room with sun beds and air conditioning witch was lovely as the weather was boiling
We stayed in room 102 only thing was it was nere the laundry room and could here the trolleys coming buy about 3 pm but got used to in.
The staff was pleasent and friendly and rooms cleaned regularly.
We never ate in restaurant as we was self catering but prises were reasonable
Our room had free safety deposit boxes included in price witch was apreasiated
The only negative being that the tv only had bbc world news no bbc1 2 itv chanel 4 ext
But if you only go for 1 week that would not matter
On the whole a lovely stay and will be returning next Christmas if can get a good price
Yours faithfully

When we arrived we noticed that every member of staff that worked there was welcoming and friendly. The apartments and surrounding areas were very clean and we always saw staff cleaning the different areas, including around the pool.
The walk from the reception down to the sea front is less than a 10 minute walk and is easy enough to locate.
The shops and available restaurants in the area was great.
As we only stayed half board we didn't really see the availability of the drinks but from the ones we bought in the bar, they were great. Very strong but great. We also thought they were quite cheap too (€4- 4.50) for a alcoholic drink.
The food we thought was great and the choice was fantastic, we seriously had no issues with choosing what to eat. For people travelling half board, coffee and drinks are available with breakfast but they do not allow that at lunch or dinner time. We were only allowed to access the water. My partner was told off by a member of staff for having a drink of orange juice with his dinner. There was no signs around to tell us any different.
In regards to sunbathing and the swimming pool, I suggest getting a sun lounger at 10.30 when the swimming pools open. People will stand and wait to get a sunbed and they all go instantly. I also witnessed the lifeguard removing towels from empty unattended sunbeds which I thought was great because people would leave sun loungers unattended for longer than 40 minutes.
For evening entertainment, we enjoyed but only watched a few shows. We had to get a table as soon as we finished our dinner about 7.40ish as tables would be taken quickly and there would be nowhere to sit.
We were also in one of the rooms which did not have Air con so we advise to get a fan from reception. We stayed on a higher floor so we were able to leave our doors and windows open at nighttime.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was cheap and cheerful and we had a fantastic time.

First finding the room was confusing if we didn't have the map we would of been in trouble. Keep the map of the hotel. The room it's self was lovly, clean, big and there was a welcome bottle of water in the fridge. I couldn't fault the room even the balcony was big with table and chairs. We went all inclusive but the times on the website for eating and when the restaurant actully opened are 2 different times all together. The website needs updating.. Maybe the website Times were for peak season who knows. The bar could of had a bigger choice of drink however after much tasting on our first night we found a drink we liked. However the loo's in the bar area kept flooding so at one point we had to go all the way back to our room to use the loo. We wernt allowed back in the restaurant once it closed. The restaurant itself was nice, big and planned out so you wernt sitting on top of each other and you could talk with out being disturbed. The food choice was different every single day. And the plain meat steaks were cooked in front of you as fresh as they come. I would highly reccomend the venison. The pudding selection was cake, ice-cream, fruit or a sort of rice pudding but everything was always different flavours each night. But for breakfast it was pot luck if there was oj or not. The only bad thing I could say is that you can't put your knife or fork down or take a breather from eating, because if that plate/cup was down the staff would take it away to clean up throwing the food away. And you felt rushed in the restaurant. The entertainment on the night wasn't the best however the dj made it as funny as he could and I would recommend the quiz nights very funny. No entertainment on Thursday or Sundays which was fine by us because we went out on those nights and had our own fun. And you must wear your mask anywhere your not sitting down to go the loo, pick your food, order a drink ect. Which was fine by us. But don't wear a filted mask your not allowed.

We’ve had a great two weeks in Tenerife, we rolled the dice about the traffic light system so we’re having isolate on our return but our stay at Checkin bungalows Atlantida gave us a great base for our holiday, clearly the complex is being updated and will no doubt be completed before the end of summer, that being said, we couldn’t fault the cleanliness of our room, we had some insects which were dealt with and they were probably there as the complex has not been fully occupied during the pandemic.
We were moved from another hotel on an all inclusive tariff, the food was basic which reflects the price of the holiday but was well cooked an presented, there was a good breakfast selection and enough options for vegetarians.
We did spend most evening in the towns nearby as there was no entertainment currently on site, however there is still a lot to see around about and very good value food and drinks.
Last and not least, the staff at the complex could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay, I hope the global issues are quickly resolved and Tenerife can return to its normal popularity
