Hotel Torre del Mar receives commendations for its pristine and spacious rooms, boasting stunning sea vistas, although guests have called out concerns regarding room temperature and privacy. While the hotel's location is celebrated for its proximity to beaches and nightlife, a few reviewers suggest it might be too bustling for those seeking tranquility. The amenities, including the pool and spa, generally earn rave reviews, despite some feedback that the ambiance could be elevated with better music. Service is often highlighted as a strong point; however, opinions on its consistency vary. Although the hotel is seen as a clean and well-maintained establishment, the cost of staying and additional services is noted as being on the higher side.

Usually we stay in an apartment but decided as it was a short break to stay at a Hotel. Everything about the hotel is great, clean friendly attentive staff. The bonus of a spa pool and steam and sauna rooms are a great feature.
The new way of you being able to order your breakfast / food via a app is also good as it saves time and no standing around waiting is a better way of doing things.
The hotel rooms are clean and modern and no issues. You may want to ask for an extra pillow is the only thing to mention.
Access to the small beach area is easy and whilst it’s not like the main sandy beaches further along, the water is clear and lovely to swim in.
The location works and if hiring a car there is an underground car park, so if you want to visit other places on the island it’s easy to do so.
I would say that the hotel has dealt with the new COVID procedures very well and all the guests staying here adhered to them without any issues.

The Torre del Mar is a nice 4* hotel. We booked it last minute and may have paid a bit more than average as Ibiza was very booked up and I would say that it was overpriced compared to similar hotels I have stayed at elsewhere. That said EVERYTHING in Ibiza is expensive.

We are gay and the hotel was gay friendly.

Covid precautions were good.

The hotel has a good outdoor pool (and an indoor one too) with enough sunbeds. There were a few screaming young kids so if that bothers you then an adults only hotel may be better. The pool area overlooks the sea and our room did too. The external and common areas look great and you can have a massage outside too. The room itself was pretty unexceptional. No paintings on the wall and nothing to make you say "wow" when you walk in. However it's like they never bothered interior designing the room. There was a free safe, a fridge, water provided daily, tea and coffee and a kettle. WIFI WAS POOR in our room; that was a problem as we did work there, however 4G was strong enough in the area. Breakfast was a good buffet. We didn't eat in the main restaurant but we did in the outside restaurant a few times and the food was good on the whole (maybe skip the seabass). Service throughout the hotel was good, especially in the outside restaurant. On the whole staff are grumpy throughout Ibiza so this was a pleasant change. There's a decent enough gym. Lockers for when you check out or check in early. I had a massage which was good enough but not exceptional.

The biggest thing to mention is location. It is a 30 minute walk to Ibiza town which was fine for us but maybe not for everyone. You can order taxis to the hotel but they can take at least 30 minutes and you may have to fight with other residents when they arrive! There's also a taxi stand a 5 minute walk away which we found was a better bet. Everything closed at 1am when we stayed so everyone left the bars and cafes at the same time. Some nights there were long queues for taxis coming back. There is a taxi app but taxis will often ditch their booked customer in favour of one on the street so it's unreliable. If you're bothered by walking or unreliability of taxis then get somewhere closer to Ibiza old town.

In summary, nice enough hotel that felt a bit overpriced in a decent but not great location.

This hotel has a stunning location at one end of playa d’en Bossa. The pool deck sticks out on the beach and rocks so you have an amazing 270 degree view of the beach.

Covid rules are being strictly adhered to in the hotel and around the pool. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t be happier with the room, view, food, service and whole experience.

Guest numbers are obviously well down from the normal July summer season. However you can always get a sun lounger by the pool or a table at the bar. We only had to queue for breakfast as the buffet was removed due to Covid and all breakfast items are waiter service. This has slowed things down considerably, and there could be a long queue each morning waiting for the socially distanced tables out on the terrace.

We had half board so ate in the hotel every night we stayed. What a beautiful location for dinner out on the terrace overlooking the beach. This is worth booking for a romantic dinner even if you are not staying in the hotel.

Highly recommended and would definitely come again.

Stayed at this hotel after being moved because my original hotel (Amaré) was closed due to covid-19. I don’t feel that this was a like for like swap but we didn’t want to cancel so agreed to stay. Check in was quick and simple and the staff around the hotel are very friendly. Food is of a good standard but takes a while to be served so go to the restaurant before you get really hungry. I assume they’re not at full staff capacity right now which is why things are a little slow.
The towels in the room need to be updated and the rooms are small. Had to request that the mini fridge needed refilling daily as they weren’t. There’s no iron or board in the room, small but Gibbs like this separate 4* from 3*. There are steps to maintain hygiene like sanitizer but the soap In the rooms and communal areas require you to push them with your hands and ours wasn’t a new one when we arrived.

I asked for a bucket with ice and 2 champagne flutes to be brought to the room, I was told there’s a charge for the ice and an additional charge of €4 for them to be brought to the room. Again a simple thing that should not require a charge and which I’ve never been charged for at any other 4* hotel I’ve stayed in.

I understand the he hotel has been refurbished which is obvious as some aspects have been left as they once were such as the lifts and the sofas in the lobby which look old and out of place. Overall a nice chilled out vibe and a nice pool area, Good location and a good option for what I assume would have cost much less than the original hotel but I’d stay somewhere a bit more luxurious next time.

So today is our first day at the hotel, total disappointment worst customer service, awful staff, we were given limited information on the hotel facilities we were told to go on the website and check , we asked what was included in vip service and we were told water ?!, we ordered drinks at the poolside bar, the waitress gave us the wrong drink and instead of apologising she rolled her eyes and said some comment under her breath, when we asked her what did you say she again said something and walked off. Then we got to our room and there were no instructions to how to use the jacuzzi and when I asked , I was told it’s so simple. We then ordered soft drinks in our room and were not provided with a bottle opener and again when we asked for it they told us it’s in the room, I advised them no we don’t they finally agreed and sent a opener. We are aware the hotel has limited services however when we went down to reception to ask for local places that would deliver food the receptionist gave us 3 incorrect websites, we gave up with her and researched ourselves for a food delivery place. Once we ordered our own food we asked for some plates and crockery we were told there was a charge to bring up plates! Also we have a duplex floor and each time they come to our room they knock, and when your on the top level you can’t hear, there is no doorbell , the waiter opened our room as we did not hear the door and he told us off and said next time I knock the door make sure you open the door, I can’t stress enough this is the worse customer hotel, and we are only day 1 of our stay here

We stayed here for a Babymoon in October 2022. The hotel was apparently one of the very first luxury hotels on the island and has had a face lift in more recent times. This made sense as some parts of it seemed fresh and new; like the outdoor bar and pool area which are classy, beautiful and stands out from the other hotel pools along Playa D'en Bossa. However other areas felt dated; like the kitsch indoor lobby/reception and the lifts that were too small for more than a couple of people at a time.

When we arrived the indoor reception and lobby smelt very clinical, like it had just been disinfected. I also wasn't impressed that when we checked in during the late evening, tired from travel and me being heavily pregnant, they barely welcomed us before expecting us to pay upfront for the rest of the stay. (I really wasn't expecting this especially considering I had already paid for the first night when I made the booking a month ago.) I have never been asked by a hotel to pay for the whole stay upon arrival - what if we saw the room and decided we wanted to stay elsewhere?!

Luckily this wasn't the case. The room was a decent size, very clean and had a beautiful view of the sea and the pool area. (I definitely recommend booking a sea view room, otherwise you get the car park.) The bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower large and powerful. However considering it's a luxury hotel, I'd have appreciated a few more toiletries and more than just water in the minibar. Robes and slippers would have been good too.

The breakfast buffet had loads of choice and stunning morning views of the sea and old town. There was a relaxed atmosphere in the outdoor bar/restaurant to sip a coffee or enjoy a bowl of paella and there was live music entertainments most evenings. The dinner/lunch restaurant menu could have had some more options, especially for vegetarians, but the staff were warm and friendly.

My last complaint is that I wasn't told until I tried to access the spa that it would cost another 18 euros for me to use the indoor pool. Why? Because I hadn't booked the hotel directly through the hotel's website and had used Bookings.com instead.... This was especially annoying as one of the reasons I booked Torre del Mar was for the indoor pool! I really didn't want to pay extra so made do with the outdoor pool and luckily the weather was warm to still enjoy it.

Location wises, the hotel was a great base for us to explore the rest of the island by car and overall we enjoyed our stay. However for the price of a luxury hotel, I felt a few improvements could be made to make it more deserving of a five star review.

The hotel is stunning inside with amazing sea views from our bedroom. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We asked for an iron and ironing board and they arrived within 10 minutes. Rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. Lovely pool area with plenty of sun beds. Buffet breakfast has lots of choice with fresh omelettes and pancakes made to order. Buffet dinner had a good selection for the one meal we had there, rump steak and turkey steak cooked to order as you watch. We also ate once in the bar restaurant and the food was lovely too.
We stayed 4 nights and found that the location was good. Very close to Playa d’en Bossa beach in one direction, then a lovely walk along to the old town in the either direction, which is definitely recommended.
Upon checking guests have a qr code to scan, taking you to the hotel information page which we found really informative.
The hotel seemed to have mostly adults which suited us perfectly.
The spa was 15€ each for one hour to use the facilities including the indoor pool and sauna. It was lovely and definitely recommended. We used the gym which was perfect for our needs.
Free lockers are available upon check in and checkout which easily fit our cabin sized suitcases and bags. This was perfect whilst waiting for our room to be ready and then waiting for our flights home. A free safe and mini fridge were also in the bedroom.
We would definitely return but not in April as it is still winter season and a few too many things were closed - the sea taxi service was not running. The hippy market has not restarted yet. Some shops and eateries locally were closed and we weren’t sure if they had closed down or just hadn’t reopened yet for the season.

Without doubt a beautiful location, the rooms are well equipped and really clean. If like me you like coffee dont expect anything to write home about in the room, it’s awful. Powdered coffee and powdered milk, not at all what you expect at a four star hotel, not even capsules of coffee. Interesting though at the bar terrace which is such a stunning location I had a lovely double espresso with hot milk, on Sunday it cost Euro 2.50, this morning it cost 2.20 and this afternoon it was 3.50.
Do they make the process up as they go? It would be lovely if you didn’t feel as though you were taken for an idiot and the price remained the same.
There is live music during the day from 1pm and it’s rather cool chill out stuff and Sundays two man show was superb. Today Monday however the other two man show were rude. Ourselves 4 of us were chilling out when the 2 guys arrived to set up, I was looking forward to it as I love music so I’d been looking forward to it. That was until he put the speaker next to the sun loungers we were on, I meet 5 ft away, I looked at a Dutch family who were even closer and the family just looked astonished. Not a word from the 2 who were setting up just placed them right next to us. I asked the guys what type of music they were playing and they said they don’t speak English and carried on. Then the Dutch family who do speak Spanish said the guys setting up we’re having a conversation saying that it was just tough that there were people there and we should all move. Even the pool guy asked the Dutch family to move. Rather rude considering there is a little stage area where the band are supposed to play where everyone left so they could play and we all enjoy the music.
Not what you’d call customer focussed and disappointed the staff did not think that maybe everyone that the customers were more more important.
Staff in general are lovely, the hotel is beautiful, the ambient music is just right and apart from the rude Salsa guys and terrible tea/coffee in the room then it’s worth staying. Oh the pool is freezing so much so during the day it’s really empty although the sun is out and it’s very hot in the sun. X

We had a great stay at Torre Del Mar! The room (we had the Terrace with a Bath tub on it) was comfortable with a great shower, bed and sitting area. It was very relaxing sitting on the Terrace looking over the ocean. The breakfast included in our stay was one of the most extensive spreads I have experienced. Of course the staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing to watch out for is we stayed just before the main season and taxis were almost impossible to get, even if the hotel called one. The hotel apologized that they could not do more but said the number of taxis would increase starting in a week or so. So, we did a lot of walking which was also fine. Actually found some great restaurants because we walked in both directions. Spain, Ibiza and Torre Del Mar, we miss you already!

I have contacted the hotel prior to my arrival for information and replied quickly. When we arrived the reception staff were very welcoming and gave us some local tourist information on excursions and places to go and see, as our flight came in before check in the hotel allowed us full use of the hotel and had handy changing and shower rooms and lockable lockers that fit your suitcases. The rooms are clean and walking through the lobby smelt so good. Breakfast had good selection they cooked infront of you things like omlettes. Good selections of cheese, hams, salad, cooked breakfast options and good sweet options. I found all the staff welcoming and helpful. The cleaners did a fantastic job and did daily cleans which left the room as if like a first time entering the room.
