Hotel was beautiful but the staff was very ignorant , Rude at times and as we were all inclusive it was hard to get a drink especially at night no staff and queuing was horrendous so we went out every nite as it’s very cheap and better treated by staff in pubs the pool situation was diabolical trying to get a place round pool oh my god you have to be up at crack of dawn even though there’s a policy leave towels 45 mins and there off 🙄🙄that’s rubbish as we sat there one day and they was never moved Food isn’t that good it’s very bland and looks like mush most of it and I lived on chip butties all 5 days meats wasn’t cooked and the snack bar is at one end of the hotel and the drinks at the other it was a nightmare getting a drink I don’t understand why there isn’t a self serve soft drink machine at other end Doubt I’d ever come back here…
I, my partner, and our two friends, stayed here for 5 nights for a little getaway and had a really great time. Initially, upon booking one of the standard rooms per couple, we were told that no more of these rooms were available and so we had to pay extra. Because of this, we were given the Suite Club Teguise rooms which, given a much better price than we otherwise would have to pay for these rooms, was worth it. The rooms were modern and clean, the staff and maids were friendly, and the pool areas and general hotel were fantastic (though the pools were very salty and sometimes difficult to enjoy). Also, the hotel-owned beach/bay outside the hotel was great - it was perfect for snorkelling and seeing fish, swimming, or just lazing by the beach. We stayed at the hotel on an all-inclusive basis and so were in the hotel's restaurant three times a day to eat. The food was always very nice and, as a vegetarian, there were enough options to keep me satisfied. However, one complaint I have is the aspect of repetitiveness of some of the dishes served throughout the day. Regardless, this is difficult to avoid with all-inclusive service and so overall I was pleased, especially as the bar staff were always happy to serve you drinks around the pool and in the evenings. The benefits of our upgraded room included the room itself and access to the Club Teguise lounge (where we could make our own drinks and chill out) and a separate sunbed area with nice quality and large sunbeds. In summary, the hotel was lovely and the staff really made us feel welcomed. It was a lovely trip and there was little that could be improved.…
As a couple we enjoyed our 2week stay & will be back in October The food was mainly good but not always hot The sweets were very good Entertainment was varied & the daytime entertainers funny friendly&worked hardThe staff were mainly friendly must mention Osvaldo the waiter in the evening who was very nice!! Our one complaint was there was no sweet wine unless we paid for a bottle of San Valentin & we were all inclusive Looking forward to our next visit
We have just returned from a fantastic 10 day holiday in Lanzarote, and I'm so glad we chose the Grand Teguise Playa. What an excellent hotel! Up there with the best we have stayed in. On arrival we were met with a friendly receptionist who welcomed us to the hotel. We were soon on our way to our room which was quality. AC, Tea & Coffee making facilities, hairdryer with complimentary sowing kit, tissues, hair cap etc, and a super comfy large bed. The room was spotless, and serviced everyday. We booked all inclusive. The food was excellent with a great choice for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. The pool area had plenty of sun beds and once again was lovely and clean. A pool bar was also available from around 10.30am, and after lunch had finished, hot food was available close to the pool. The evenings entertainment was good and service at the well stocked bar was quick. Not sure how this hotel could improve. Must give a shout out to the staff. From the cleaning staff, to those staff that provide service. They all work so hard, and nothing is to much trouble. A superb hotel.…
We recently returned from a week away and can recommend this hotel. We stayed half board in a superior sea view room with great views from the 4th floor.. The room was clean, updated but a tad clinical and had free toiletries and towels changed as needed. We had a fridge and complimentary btl of water. We were able to eat a la carte one evening as part of the deal. This was ok but not spectacular. The general restaurant has plenty of options, theme nights and show cooking so ignore reviewers who complain. We have travelled widely and i am a vegetarian but no complaints. The hotel is v clean everywhere and most staff pleasant. The pools are large and v good, with varied animation events led by keen staff and no pressure to join in. There's also a private gate to the beach. Bars, good food and shops are available nearby. The entertainment was mostly good and varied but the logistics arent good for viewing as seating is situated in the round on a revolving floor and the stage obscured by flora and fauna around the extensive water area. The design is visually v. impressive with fish and turtles in the water but the cocktail bar has constant queues when maybe you just want a soft drink. All inclusive holders get priority as well by waiters. The hotel attracts the muti generations and many with mobility issues but the atmosphere is inclusive and the hotel has a policy on disability with a number of adapted rooms. We went out on the island tour to the volcanoes and camel trek..really good day. Also went to the texas ranch wildlife park which was great and a day out to the capital Arrecife. Overall..great week, friendly people and guaranteed weather!…
This hotel is absolutely fantastic. We come back time after time and are never let down. From reception staff to pool area and not to mention the amazing food which is to die for,We have tried other hotels in different areas but keep coming back because nothing ever measures up to this hotel the location is amazing
Must admit i got a little worried after reading a couple of negative reviews before we travelled, but all worries were soon forgotten. Check in was quick smooth and hassle free, our room was ready even though we were a couple of hours early. The hotel was impressive, rooms were modern spacious with loads of storage, and a safe if needed. Tea making facilities and a fridge, and a Tv with lots of british channels, if needed. The Restaurant was spacious and airy, was never rushed, and cues were not an issue at all, with an outside bbq area that was great, and the staff were second to none, nothing was ever too much trouble, tables were cleared quickly, and all staff had a welcoming smile and time for everyone-would like to give Vallee a mention, always asking if everything was okay. Food was a good variety every mealtime, breakfast was lovely, cava on offer if wanted. Pool Bar was run well, with snacks on offer most of the day, and the animation guys were a scream especially Luis he was so funny. Daily games archery shooting quizes ect. The evening Barstaff were just amazing-so efficient and knew what they were about. Loads of cocktails to choose from,. Evening entertainment were different shows, but not a lot of interaction with guests, that we are used to, but nevertheless enjoyed. Overall we had a lovely holiday, and would highly recommend The Grand Teguise Playa... And finally a big thank you to everyone that made our holiday. And to the manager ::: Keep doing what you are doing x…
This place is great and was our 4th visit. This holiday should have been June 2020 but covid happened. Anyway we wouldn't keep going back if it wasn't fabulous but a few questions... Heated pool wasn't heated Revolving bar wasn't Revolving lol. Seats removed along wall near pool bar...why ? And it's the 1st time I've not found a bottle of bubbles for my birthday in my room. sob. Is this all saving money after covid ?
Amazing hotel and staff, only complaint was the food being very salty and the same options every night with little variation. Also the pool was too salty. It stung your eyes and mouth when the water went in
I have been at this hotel a few times and returning in September , no complaints at all food excellent, staff polite, friendly and helpful. Entertainment brilliant . Rooms clean as a whistle . It definitely lives up to its name . Grand !!!
