Comfortable rooms equipped with thoughtful amenities contribute to the positive experiences, although some guests have encountered maintenance inconsistencies. The hotel's location is lauded for its beach proximity and easy access to local attractions. Here atm and all I can say is it’s Classy, beautiful and the restaurants are amazing, not your usual All Inclusive, way above it to be honest A La Carte menu’s and worth every penny. From the gorgeous rooms to the stunningly designed Hotel, only day 2 and already one of my favourite hotels, we will definitely be back. Loads of Sun loungers, no fights to get them, they are strategically placed, in no more than about 6 In a row and in various positions, so sunbathing available all day long. The little touches in the room are just perfect, from the hand wash/shower gel, mini toothpaste and toothbrush, robes and beach towels, no cheap stuff here, the soaps smells gorgeous and I wish I hadn’t bothered raiding boots before coming to buy ours! Well stocked mini fridge Thank you Ahmed for going the extra mile to make our stay perfect with you attention to detail. Will update at end of the week? But to be honest I can’t recommend booking here enough ❤️

After reading a few negative reviews we were a little concerned about what to expect when we arrived. I will say up front that for us there were a few niggles however we would go back in a flash. We arrived at the hotel at 10.30am, well ahead of check in time. we left our cases in luggage room and went on a tour of the hotel, in particular the reserve area to see if we wanted to upgrade, we did the upgrade straight away. Our room was lovely, we had a bottle of red wine, a fully stocked fridge with beers and soft drinks including cans of still and sparkling water, pool towels in cupboard, a pool bag to use also flip flops provided, slippers bath robes and also all the shower goodies…. Lovely shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion etc. air conditioning took a while to cool the room and I must say it was ok but could have been a bit better. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast in reserve area was chosen from a menu and was lovely with lots of choice, (menu in my pictures) plus a small buffet area. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating, a few times our orders were a little wrong ie missing something but really it was no big deal. We ate every lunch at the reserve pool bar and again the food was yummy, in my opinion the only issue there was the limited menu choices, I must add here about the amazing staff at the pool bar Susana, Daniel and excuse my spelling Delgado, the 3 of them worked extremely hard and at lunch time the bar area got particularly busy with people ordering food and drinks, so thank you to them, they are a credit to the hotel. The pool area at the reserve was a mini paradise, lots of beds available including cabana beds, a lovely saltwater pool that was as expected cold on entry but was perfect to swim in. Evening meals were taken at Samira 4 nights, 1 buffet, 1 graciosa 1 Capella, Samira was fantastic food, as was our pizza at the italian, we tried the taster menu at graciosa and we left before finishing all courses due to us not liking it, we then went to the buffet and were equally disappointed. We listened to the entertainment on a couple of evenings and thought most of it was really good. So overall we thought it was fantastic, as I said at the start just a few niggles for us..some of the food option. need more staff in the main bar area as it got very busy at times and some other little things. However despite the things I mention we are already looking to go back and this demonstrates how fantastic it is there. It was luxury, thank you to you all at the hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On arrival at the hotel it looks very nice staff at reception friendly and helpful. Room was OK view from balcony obscured by trees so no much to look at room ok but vathroom a bit tired loose tile and missing grout on toilet floor squashed bug marks on toilet wall was there for nearly 5 days before being cleaned. Bar staff seem to look at the colour of your inclusive bracelet before they look at you first morning for breakfast the only thing that was hot was the egg omelette as this was made fresh sometimes with a bit of attitude from the cook although not always the rest of the food was cold or at best slightly warm this continued for the rest of the week lunch was a la carte or bar snack menu bars for snacks was much busier than al a carte lunch buffet evening meal we arrived at opening time on first night again food was cold or slightly warm this was the same every night when speaking to other guests needles to say we ate out most nights a la carte restaurant I ordered pizza only to be told 10 minutes later that I couldn't have it as the ovens weren't working so o chose the lasagne it came out this square stodge block on my plate first time I've had lasagne made with meatballs no garnish no garlic bread just this blob on my plate given it took three attempts to book this restaurant it was such a disappointing meal as confirmed by other guests that we talked to regularly during our stay. So based on this we would not return to this hotel or recommend it unless you like cold food

Dear James, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay. I'm sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations in several aspects, and I appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Firstly, I apologize for any issues you encountered in your room, particularly the condition of the bathroom. Your comments about loose tiles, missing grout, and cleanliness will be addressed with our housekeeping team to ensure improvements are made. I'm also sorry to hear about your experience with the breakfast buffet. The inconsistency in the temperature of the food and any perceived attitude from the cook are matters that will be investigated and addressed with the relevant staff to ensure a more consistent and positive dining experience for all guests. Your experience at the a la carte restaurant is disappointing, and I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the oven issue and the unexpected presentation of the lasagne. We take your feedback seriously, and it will be shared with the culinary team to make necessary adjustments. It's disheartening to hear that these issues impacted your overall impression of the hotel. I assure you that your feedback is valuable, and we will use it to address the areas that need improvement. If you have additional details or would like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to reach out to our management team directly. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience, and I appreciate your honesty. We hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future should you consider giving us another chance. Kind regards, Guest Experience Department

As most people we were excited to see the refurbishment of this 5* adults only hotel after reading all the positive reviews.
As most people we were greatly disappointed.
Absolutely not a 5* in any country, no complimentary towel or drink on arrival, the reception staff were so happy and friendly but knew nothing. We were given 2 room bracelets 1 didn’t work, told to report back for restaurant information and sent on our way. We had feather pillows I had emailed about my husbands allergy to feathers and asked for hypo allergenic, the email had been received as I was shown it on arrival. It took 5 trips to reception to get the correct pillows, the customer service phone line was constantly engaged. The safe broke and we had to have a replacement safe installed, there was no remote control, each time we had to go to reception.
We booked the restaurants, the Samira made me violently ill on the first night. The Capella was ok, burnt pizza and minestrone soup that tasted like dishwater.
La Graciosa was ok weird set up, 3 tasting menus but recommended to both eat from the same one. Each restaurant’s decor is beautiful but none were by any means used to capacity. The malva for breakfast, lunch and evening meal got progressively worse. More and more people were eating outside the hotel. Our last evening meal took us 15 minutes from sitting down to leaving, cold, poor choices, mislabelled, no idea what you were eating, unappetising very disappointing.
The drinks are top shelf, no cocktail menu and when I asked for my usual they said no. The lack of pool service is not ideal and no way was I standing in a queue of 10 people in the hot sunshine after what we had paid.
Management are in total denial, when I explained everything to a manager even my illness she wasn’t interested, she firmly believed in the hotel and wouldn’t accept any criticism, I was not sent a courtesy follow up note to the room regarding my illness which happened on the 1st of 8 nights.
I didn’t speak to anyone who was happy, everyone was very disappointed in the food, lack of 5* service and overall experience.
Possibly a 4* hotel, but the food was terrible and absolutely not a 5* experience.
General staff were amazing , friendly and definitely overworked. Housekeeping was perfect, the room lacked certain things that have been mentioned previously. Having stayed at the Paradisus in Cuba, the food there was amazing in all 5 restaurants.
Not worth the hype or money or 5* rating.

This was our first AI holiday. We decided to go with the Melia Brand as we have stayed with them in Marbella on numerous occasions. We booked directly with the hotel and saved hundreds of pounds. We opted for the Reserve in a premium ocean view room. At the dedicated check in desk we were offered a discounted rate to upgrade to a jnr suite but we declined. The gentleman described our room as the most basic during his sales pitch a bit off putting but other wise very smooth and a team member walked us through the hotel explaining everything as we went along
The hotel is old dating back to the 70s. Melia have very recently given it a major refit and the bars restaurants and lounges are really nice 5star. Unfortunately the refit stopped short of a complete overhaul and the corridor to the bedrooms will remind you of your first ever holiday to Spain. While the bedrooms are very modern and well appointed as per the web site the doors are old brown affairs The shower trays and screens are tired and the lovely original marble floor needed the grout replacing. One other issue particularly if you are of an age the balcony is furnished with two English type deck chairs. If you sit in one long enough your lower legs go dead. Oh did I mention the lifts old and tired also
You are issued with a wrist band the colour identifies to the staff the AI grade. There seemed to be at least four different colours. One was for the Reserve which gives you the top level. Next came the normal band. One to identify teenagers up to 18 and lastly and this is where you need to be careful one if you booked through a travel firm like TUI which can mean a restricted drinks package
Why did I give the five stars? Aside from the short comings the pools are amazing the Reserve sun beds have cushions the main pool beds do not Staff everywhere fantastic. We enjoyed all three al la carte restaurants and also the buffet. Food was excellent Both the red and white wines poured by the glass were very drinkable. The breakfast service at the Reserve was disappointing and a bit haphazard but otherwise no complaints There is a small sheltered public beach right in front of the hotel with 2 beds and shade for €12 total. If you struggle with the temperature of the pools the sea water is much warmer and crystal clear for a swim. You can also walk for miles along the sea front path
After a few days you tend not to notice the hotels few physical shortcoming and instead enjoy the relaxed friendly atmosphere which helps make for a really enjoyable holiday
We intend to return later in the year

Dear Henry R, It seems like your first all-inclusive experience at the Melia Brand hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. While the recent refurbishment of the bars, restaurants, and lounges brought them up to a luxurious standard, other parts of the hotel, like the corridor to the bedrooms and the lifts, still felt outdated. Despite these drawbacks, you found the pools to be amazing, and the staff provided exceptional service throughout your stay. You especially enjoyed the dining options, including the al la carte restaurants and buffet, where the food exceeded your expectations. The availability of comfortable sun beds at the Reserve area was a plus, although you noted that the main pool beds lacked cushions. The wristband system for identifying all-inclusive packages was helpful, although you mentioned that booking through certain travel firms might result in a restricted drinks package. Despite the physical shortcomings of the hotel, you were able to overlook them and embrace the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, ultimately leading to an enjoyable holiday experience. As a result, you're considering a return visit later in the year. Kind regards, Carlota Martín de las Mulas Guest Service Line Agent

Quality is the word that springs to mind in relation to this hotel particularly in relation to things that matter to me on holidays.

The check in and check out were easy informative and friendly. The room was very comfortable and everything worked. Towels were big and soft and we appreciated that a change was offered daily. The well stocked minibar, coffee machine and snacks was also a very nice touch.

The activities were top class offered by a fabulous team and the ever present Ramon. A particular mention of the immersive yoga on the plinth which was an unforgettable experience. The art therapy and wine tasting were again top quality. Loved them !

Bar service was excellent the cocktails fresh and innovative. The fact of a number of wine types being offered at mealtime was nice .

The buffet was good not great but the freshly cooked meat was a treat. Food was often cold which is really something to look at rectifying. The restaurants were again mixed one day good the next not so good. One day we really enjoyed the Canarian restaurant the second visit not a patch on the first. Although the setting of the outdoor terrace was spectacular. The middle eastern restaurant was as described but a bit pedestrian an offering for the setting. Similarly the Italian where the ingredients were not of Italian provenance it seemed and that resulted in an inferior offering. Oscar the sommelier was great and informative.

The lunchtime menu was good as was the shack burgers. Eduardo was on the ball in the restaurant. In fact all the staff were super.

Sublime. Hotel staff are absolutely fantastic with nothing being to much trouble. The attention to detail and their service is all you could wish for.
Everything is very very clean and tidy.
Very refreshing to have such great service with a smile.

We stayed 10 days in a Premium Ocean View room and its the best all-inclusive resort we have been to in the Canaries. Lovely touch of beach bag, flip flops, beach towels and superb amenities. Minibar really well stocked.

Breakfast at Malva and the Reserve breakfast were both superb, we enjoyed the buffet for dinner, Samira, La Graciosa with a fantastic selection of tasting menus with local produce and Cappella the Italian. Lunch was also very good at the Shack and Malva. It was a lovely touch to have Ginger open 24hrs for snacks food was good. We also enjoyed the DJ sessions at the Beach Bar.

I would recommend downloading the Mélia APP and booking the a la carte restaurants directly the front desk team and concierge are also very accomodating.

Reserve lounge fantastic for an aperitif or light snack.

Enjoyed the daytime activities specially the wine tasting and a good selection of evening entertainment.

Concept of Destination Inclusive fantastic we really enjoyed visiting both Jameos del Agua and the cactus gardens the tickets were included in the booking a lovely touch.

Excellent hotel, services and facilities we are looking to book again later this year to discover more of the island.

We cant wait to return!

Got home last Sunday. The resort is absolutely lovely, the rooms are spacious and very well equipped and spotless. The drinks are so generous and the staff are lovely. The pool is unheated but then the weather is boiling so once you're in it's a relief! I think the hotel could provide a bit more information on arrival. The Ginger Bar lobby is open 24 hours and serves food outside for lunch and right throughout the evening but we didn't know that you could eat there all day. There is no mention of it, we just noticed other people ordering food. They have evening bands every night was were really good and on Saturday lunchtijme, the social time DJ and Sax were the best of the week, should do that more! The beach bar has now opened but there was no one in it! They open it at the same time as the main bands are on so everybody goes to watch the live entertainment. I felt sorry for the DJ and barman, it could be really good if the stagger the times and advertise it. Lunch in the buffet had some lovely paella but not generous enough with the meat. They could also advertise what theme the evening buffet is by putting a sign up at breakfast. We didn't realise that food is cooked to order by the chef's. Eggs in the morning and meat and fish on the plancha grill at night so again we just ate the prewarmed food and salads until we saw others waiting for their cooked to order lamb chops, fish and steaks. Breakfast is lovely, a great selection of everything you could want. I think they could do with more staff in the buffet, one chef was trying to top things up, cook and carve, poor guy! Unfortunately, the Middle Eastern restaurant was such a disappointment. Beautiful spacious venue with poor food. Not particularly middle eastern flavours and the dishes we ordered were not embellished in any way. Chicken Swarma with just chicken in a pitta. No dips, no salad. Lamb Koftas with a big spoon of chopped tomato on the side. I think the idea is to go tapas style and get a few dishes to share but it wasn't made clear and they need to sort out the lack of flavour. We couldn't get into the Italian until 9.30 on any night so didn't bother. The Canarian restaurant is lovely for lunch, good selection and beautiful prawns, etc and the evening tasting menu was very nice too. The town is just a few minutes walk away if you want to go out for tapas or to the shops. I would go again but think with a few tweaks it would enhance peoples holiday's considerably.

Dear Guest, It sounds like you had an overall enjoyable experience at the resort, but also encountered various areas where improvements could be made. Your detailed feedback is incredibly valuable for the resort's management to ensure a better guest experience in the future. Your positive comments about the spacious, well-equipped, and clean rooms, as well as the generous drinks and friendly staff, are greatly appreciated. I'm glad to hear that the pool provided relief despite being unheated due to the hot weather. However, your observations about the lack of information on arrival are noted. It's crucial for guests to be aware of all available facilities, like the Ginger Bar's full-day food service. Better signage or information could be helpful for guests to make the most of the resort's amenities. Your insights about the evening entertainment and suggestions for enhancing it are valuable. Additionally, providing clearer indications about the offerings in the buffet and the cooked-to-order options would certainly improve the dining experience. I understand your disappointment with the Middle Eastern restaurant, and it's unfortunate that the flavors and dish presentations didn't meet expectations. Your feedback about the Canarian restaurant is appreciated, highlighting both its lunch selection and evening tasting menu. Your suggestions for improvement, such as clearer explanations about dining options and flavors, better management of dining times, and more staff in the buffet, will be shared with the management team for consideration. Thank you for your detailed feedback. It's through comments like yours that the resort can work on making necessary changes to enhance the overall guest experience. We hope that, with these adjustments, your next visit will be even more enjoyable. Best regards, Guest Experience Department

The hotel itself is really nice, very clean, lovely rooms and pool. The staff are friendly, but the hotel is very quiet during the day. The only thing to do is aqua aerobics, yoga or mediation. Something for an hour in the afternoon a bit more fun, even a game of French boules, or something similar would have been welcomed.
There is no nighttime entertainment team, they just get singers in each night. There is no stage so it’s just someone sat singing, so no real atmosphere.
The food was a disgrace.we ate out for the last 3 nights of our 7 night break.
Yes, the Italian and the tapas Restaurants are nice, but you have to book 48 hours in advance, and you couldn’t get in every night.
The main buffet restaurant was awful. Quite small compared to most all inclusive hotels, so limited selection, and what they did have was usually cold. Even if you got where when it opened at 8 for breakfast, everything was still cold. The same at lunch. I went for cheese and biscuits one night and the crackers were all soft (obviously not fresh), I had pasta one lunchtime and it was stone cold, if was hard to get a meal together with the options they had. Another time I had some paella, and the prawns hasn’t been cleaned (poo vein still in). I felt sorry for the staff initially as everyone was complaining about the restaurant, but in reality, by the end of the week I was out of patience. The chefs in the main restaurant should be fired, how they can sent food out as they did is beyond me.
It’s a shame as the hotel is nice, not 5 star, probably a 4.

Dear Lisa621378, We appreciate that you have shared your experience at the hotel in detail, and regret that it did not fully meet your expectations. We understand your desire for more entertainment options both during the day and in the evening. Adding activities such as petanque or other recreational activities could be a great way to offer more fun to guests. The quality of the food is a key aspect of the hotel experience. I am sorry to hear that you had problems with the main restaurant, especially with the temperature and quality of the food. Your observation that the hotel can be considered more of a 4 star hotel than a 5 star hotel is important. Hotels must live up to the expectations they set in their categories, and your comments will help the hotel review its rating and areas for improvement. We appreciate your honest feedback as it is valuable to us and to the hotel itself to make the necessary improvements. We hope that in the future you will decide to return and see for yourself all the improvements implemented to ensure that your stay meets the expectations placed on us. Kind regards, Guest Experience Department

The hotel is very tired although they have painted most things, the broken tiles, uneven paths and dark interiors all add to this feeling. The food is limited at times especially lunch. We have been in the hotel since Friday and found the food is lukewarm at best so we have eaten out several times. This is not 5 star unless you pay extra for the reserve. Guest are offered the upgrade at a cost €150 per day. Guests that don't upgrade have torn basic sun loungers, the drinks are branded but when you go to the bar instead of Absolute vodka the staff frequently use a local brand I've never seen before. I would not recommend this hotel especially with the price tag. We came for our 30th wedding anniversary so will enjoy the break in spite of the hotel shortcomings. Unfortunately I was disappointed and will not return. Reviews are subjective, but this was my honest experience and other guest have said very similar things, especially about the food!

Dear Stephen, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback about your recent stay at the hotel. We truly value guest reviews, and I'm sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly on such a special occasion as your 30th wedding anniversary. It's disappointing to hear about the condition of the hotel, including the issues with the maintenance and the lukewarm food. Your comments on the limited lunch options are also noted, and we will work on addressing these concerns to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests. We appreciate your honest feedback, and we will take it into account for ongoing improvements. I'm sorry that your stay fell short of the 5-star experience you were hoping for, and we understand your disappointment. It's our hope that you still enjoy the remainder of your stay and your 30th wedding anniversary celebration. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we appreciate your honesty. If you have any specific suggestions or concerns that you'd like to address, please don't hesitate to let us know. We have just returned after a visit in February and were able to sunbathe comfortably for at least part of every day. Yes, it was quite windy, but not every day and this hotel has balconies with quite high glass screens which block the wind and make them lovely for sunbathing.
