Nestled on a scenic beachfront, Atlantica Beach Resort Kos garners positive remarks for its stunning sea views and lively atmosphere, complete with modern decor and varied evening entertainment. However, some guests question the value, pointing to basic amenities and additional costs. Experiences with service and room quality are mixed; praises for the friendly staff and prompt cleaning are contrasted with reports of inefficiencies and cleanliness issues. The resort's amenities, including the spa, and the well-maintained common areas, are popular among guests.

I have to start by saying I don’t normally leave reviews but reading the terrible reviews left recently I wanted to try and reassure people who are planning to visit in the next few weeks, especially with Covid 19.
From start to finish our holiday was great. The night we arrived they hurried it through to the restaurant to make the most of the last 20 minutes of the buffet restaurant before closing and then helped us to our room. The room was a duplex which meant the kids were in their own room and had so much space and even another bathroom.
The room was clean and modern with a great balcony and cleaned every day expect one whilst we were there, we had new towels each time it was cleaned. Air con in both areas worked well and a SMART TV in the room was great for streaming music and playing the Nintendo Switch.
The hotel itself was great. During our stay they changed the way in which the sun beds worked. You had to wait to enter the pool and although it was a little busy around that time, there was always plenty of beds and no crazy jumping over fences and arguments like I’ve seen in previous hotels. As long as you are up before 10am in my opinion you would secure a sun lounger. The beach was also great and was lovely to have a swim in the sea.
Drinks were small if I’m honest. Paper cups didn’t bother me at all and the drinks were standard of an all inclusive. The food was great in all the restaurants and snack bars and we particularly enjoyed the Ammos restaurant for lunch. The Greek and Italian restaurant were also great and the main restaurant had so much choice. I honestly couldn’t fault the food at all.
For a family with a 4 and 7 year old the entertainment was a little poor. The main show didn’t start until 9:30pm and wasn’t really worth hanging around for. They use this very small area on the terrace which means unless you are right at the front, you can’t see a thing. This was a shame as you could tell the effort that went in to these shows. It just didn’t work for us. The entertainment team were fab and the pool games were great to watch. All the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, I couldn’t fault them.
Finally, we hired a car to drive to Kos Town, paradise beach and the Zia at night. This was a great day and Zia by night was amazing and definitely worth a visit. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the late check out is around €80. It was a little annoying as there was nowhere to leave our cases Securely, but we freshened up by rinsing off at the pool and changing in the main toilets and this was absolutely fine, I don’t think I would pay the €80, it seems very expensive for such a short amount of time.
Overall a wonderful hotel. More than a 4* buy maybe not quite a 5.

Review for British holiday makers heading to this hotel.
Firstly, the staff are all very friendly and do their best to protect people from infection. Your body temperature is taken on arrival. Random swab tests are done in the airport.
There is no currency exchange available so make sure you have some euros in case of catching a bus. Most places want you to pay contact less, but not on public transport. Face masks are required when in public areas.
Some of the hotel amenities are unavailable due to restrictions.
The Greek restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit. The main restaurant has tables set apart and the staff serve the food of your choice on your plate, to restrict contact. Masks are worn when moving around the dining room.
Kardemena is a lovely place to visit and the locals are so helpful and welcoming.
This hotel is spotlessly clean and all one would expect from its impressive reviews from last year's guests. Covid has affected tourism but in terms of Brits being concerned, in our opinion it is safe to travel if you follow the Greek rules and use hand gel provided in many areas.
We are still here and enjoying our holiday to the full. 😁

My husband and I have just returned from a 14 night stay at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay . The hotel is modern and is in a lovely setting on a lovely beach. We had a nice room with a great sea view. There were plenty of loungers both around the pool and on the beach so there was never a problem finding one at any time of day. The things that let it down for us the food was never hot when it should have been and every day was much the same. If you like chicken and pork you will be happy. The queues at the bars especially on an evening were terrible. The evening entertainment would have been much better had there been a stage as it was people were passing through all the time in front of the entertainment spoiling it as the team works very hard at the job. The animation team led by Dino were all great. I would not rate this hotel as a 5 star because of the reasons I have stated but more of a 4 star. We felt much safer here than at home. All covid precautions were in place , masks and gloves to get your food in restaurant and social distancing applied ,surfaces being cleaned all the time so really safe. We had a couple of issues while we were there which we reported to reception and they were quickly rectified. There is a bus stop outside of hotel that goes into Kardemena which costs €1-80 one way and takes about 15 mins. The loungers on the beach and drinks at the beach bar are included in the all inclusive. Beach towels are supplied in your room when you arrive and the safe is also free of charge. We found all the staff very nice and helpful. The main pool does not allow you through the gates till 9 a.m. .There is also a adults only pool which opens at 9-30 a.m. Would we return, definitely if the price was right.

I’m amazed by the 5* reviews of this hotel. We stayed here at the end of September, it most certainly isn’t 5* the food was never hot which really is not good when eating pork and appeared to be constantly the main meat dish, there was chicken and beef dishes but only one dish of each to choose from, the pork dishes you had plenty of variations of cold to warm (should have been hot) to choose from and if you like the fish Perch you would be in for a treat as every night you could have Perch. There was very little choice for children unless you wanted to feed them chips and pizza every day.

I understand the hotel staff are working extremely hard during Covid but I personally feel they are making excuses. Rooms are being cleaned every 3 days to protect the workers, shouldn’t rooms be cleaned and sanitised every day to protect the guests and why take kettles out of rooms if they are not being cleaned.

Queues at the bar in an evening are absolutely ridiculous, if the hotel are unable to give guests a 5* service through having too many guests they should not be accommodating on full capacity.

The entertainment team worked hard entertaining everyone and did a superb job, what concerned me were the guests, they appeared to behave like Covid didn’t exist and would all crowd onto the dance floor together dancing and singing away, I realise everyone is on holiday and getting away from it all but I do think they need a wake up call as Covid is still raging around, Kos May not at the moment have any cases but the way the guests are behaving it won’t be long before their Covid cases start to rise.

I think the sunbeds should be sanitised I never saw any being cleaned in all the ten days we were there, I saw the hotel workers reorganise them but never cleaning them.

On a positive note I found the hotel extremely clean, I never found a dirty toilet the cleaners kept them spotless along with the rest of the hotel. The location of the hotel was beautiful, the beaches were kept immaculate.

Unfortunately I will not be returning which is a shame as the hotel like I said is in a beautiful spot but the food lets it down along with the rude reception staff.

We wanted a place that delivered on the basics and allowed us to switch off for a week in the sun. This place provided all that, and more. The hotel is helped by the fact it is only a very short distance from the airport, but what made this stay as good as it was, was more than simple coincidence.

The hotel hits all the basics very well: good amenities, good food & drink, friendly staff, very clean. It's location right next to the beach is great, too. Most people decided to spend their time near the pools which meant the beach was often quiet. The water is clean and surprisingly warm, so much so that I would recommend renting one of the small boats from the sea front and going further out.

Travelling during COVID, I want to mention how well the resort handles its cleaning. Guests were masked and gloved in the eating area, and masked in the bar. The staff were masked throughout the entire resort. The rooms were regularly cleaned to a high standard and the communal areas, including the pools and bars, were held to a similar standard.

There are two relatively small things I would like them to improve upon. Firstly, the labelling of the food in the main buffet. We travelled as two vegetarians, which I understand puts us in a minority, but the food wasn't always clearly labelled.

Secondly, the resort advertises its onsite restaurants as "a la carte" and advises that you have to book; as opposed to the regular food hall which can you access anytime. While these restaurants look nice, they are still only buffet service, not a la carte. Having to book creates the illusion of a more sophisticated experience and one that we saved for the final night. While the food is fine, it is not the same as is advertised.

A special mention to TUI, the package provider, who, when called upon for assistance, were efficient and helpful. The transfers they provided from the airport and back were clean and quick.

Overall, the trip was relaxing and enjoyable. That does not simply happen by accident. It takes the work of the hotel staff from top to bottom. Simplicity isn't simple and the staff deserve thanks for their work, especially at the end of a difficult season in the hospitality industry.

This wasn't our original booking as we where due to be going to Turkey but unfortunately plans changed.
Now this hotel popped up when I was looking at making a booking amendment for our family holiday, it had good reviews and was a location we hadn't been before so jumped on the booking.
We are still currently here and have a few days left and I will say its not disappointed at all. The staff are brilliant and are working through these times very efficiently with a smile on there faces still.. Yes there is ques at the bar these ain't that bad.
The Food here is fantastic no other words.
The rooms are a decent size and we are towards the back so very quiet, the shower and bath is great as the little one prefers a bath. I don't particularly see the reason for removing the kettle due to covid as the rooms still have items like hairdryer and remote controls in would be nice to sit on the balcony and have a nice cuppa as the little one is asleep after mini disco. There is plenty of stotage in this room for the 3 of us. Overall its clean and comfortable which is what you want.
The pools are both situated closely together and are kept nice and tidy however people around it are happy to leave there cups and tab ends for staff to put in the many available bins close by. The entertainment team poolside are great they have a really good laugh with people. The lifeguard that's on duty is absolutely on the ball also. The option I like here is that the beach is a very short walk away so can easily go between the two!
I will point out the site is very large and everything can be a bit of a trek away and PLEASE FIX THE LIFTS our little one is 4 and can walk fine however my partner had to help another mum down the 3 flights with a pram and infant.
The hotel has a bus stop just outside (near the bridge) that goes to Kardamena and Kos, however the hotel has a service to Kos town by bus that costs 7 euro each return and George the driver is great.
Overall we are loving this break and the hotel. If it came up in a good deal I wouldn't hesitate to book again if we couldn't get to Hisaronu for whatever reason.
Word of advice when by the pool avoid the small corner patch of grass between the large pool and kids pool the bog gets everyone :)

I have just spent a real relaxed week at the Atlantica beach resort with my wife and 2 daughters (10 &6),This was a last minute deal we got for a really cheap price via Tui due to having 2 holidays cancelled for Covid 19.

The main hotel building itself is very nicely kept with modern decor with a very small lobby and bar area. This leads to a really nice terrace that has amazing sea and garden views which are really well maintained and clean. The main restraunt and Italian ala Carte are also off the main lobby.

We booked a family room with terrace and sea view but on arrival were upgraded at no cost to a suite (1 of 3 on resort) the 2 bedrooms have been
Rennovated to a really nice standard and both had terrace overlooking gardens and sea. One minor negative is the bathroom was still old and required updating to same standard as bedrooms. The room was cleaned daily and had plenty of fresh towels and linen change.

The family pool area is quite small and fenced off which is good for keeping small children contained and safe. However personally felt a little claustrophobic by this and also being so small there was no escape from the loud daily entertainment (personal preference as the entertainment were good). This time of year the pool is very very cold as its freshwater not heated.

The hotel is surrounded by a beach on 2 sides with lovely views of the sea and islands in the distance. Our favourite was the main beach by the beach bar as the sand is beach to enter the water as it is a little shingle and rocky in the water. The beach is kept clean.

The restraunts are fantastic we chose to eat outside overlooking the pool every breakfast and evening times served by George who was friendly and looked after us very well. The food is of good quality for a buffet with lots of choice and regularly replaced to keep all guest covered. We were entitled to 2 ala Carte restraunts (italian/Greek)we ate in the Italian twice as the Greek was so popular could get a reservation. The Italian was really good (buffet style) but the room is really nice and was a break from the main buffet restraunt.

I read many complaints about drinks and queuing which was concerned before arriving.I have to say it's not really that bad regarding the queues, however the quality of the drinks should be better for a 5* as it's all local non branded. The bar staff are all friendly and really work hard to serve everyone quickly. There was no water supplied in rooms and this had to be purchased from the shop which I felt again for 5* this should be included.

Night time entertainment was a bit hit and miss and there was no dedicated area like other hotels I have visited. Could be improved.

On a whole we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and the hotel was reqlly good but would say it's not quite a 5* compared to other places I have stayed. It is however very close and with some small changes will get there.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at the Atlantica Beach Resort Kos. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.

The location is ideal, a 15 minute journey from the airport and The village of Kardamena, which has a selection of shops, restaurants and bars. There is a bus service, which travels to the village and also one bus a day directly to Kos town and back which is at 9.30am, return 2.30pm. The hotel is directly on the sandy beach and has stunning views of the surrounding islands. I’d recommend you visit Nisyros, a cute island nearby, you can book the volcano trip on Kos4all.com, it’s €30pp and they pick you up from the hotel.

We stayed in room 338 which was refurbished to a good standard, it was comfortable and included all the amenities you would expect. It had tea/coffee making facilities and bottles of water. The rooms are cleaned every two days, that is when everything is replenished and towels replaced. If you need water bottles in between you must ask the bars to refill your bottles as they won’t give you any more (plastic reduction). We had a couple of small issues with the bathroom, the shower temperature was changeable and the drainage slow.

The facilities in the hotel are great, due to other reviews we were concerned we would have issues finding sunbeds, but there was plenty! The hotel reps do a great job of entertaining everyone, If you want an upbeat atmosphere go to the main pool, for peace and quiet the beach or adults only pool. There are bars near each location, the one nearest to the beach is the snack bar (Amos) which serves hot and cold food from 10am-5pm.

The main buffet restaurant does get busy and we had to queue to sit outside, but the staff ensured we never waited too long! The food was decent and varied. We also dined at the Greek and the Italian restaurants which were both nice, they do get booked up fast so pick your slots when you arrive. The bars have a good selection of drinks/ cocktails, a couple of our faves; Bramble and Strawberry Mojito.

We had a great stay at the hotel, it is modern and well designed. The staff are amazing, they are all friendly and go above and beyond for guests. If you are thinking about staying here don’t hesitate! I’d highly recommend Atlantica Beach Resort to anyone looking to have a fantastic holiday in Kos.

Arrived the same time has lots of people so went to look around until the queue had gone. We were given our room which was a little tired but adequate for our needs. On returning late at night the air con was not working so in the morning i let reception know and they relocated us to another room right next to the reception a little noisy but air con good. On arriving back the next day in the room a cat had messed on the bed, chair and floor rang reception and very quickly a cleaner came to deep clean unfortunately my husbands sheets were still wet when we went to bed.The next day same thing again this time a bell boy came to looked around the room couldn't see anything but the cleaner said she would do a deep clean again. My husband and friend we had come with decided to look in the room and they eventually found a cat hiding in the sofa, Reception came because i think they had doubted us and eventually between them they shooed the cat out. Makes me wonder how much of a deep clean is done and the room was a basic clean while i was there. No apology from management no soothing the way and checking we were ok. Thought this was poor from them.
It was my husbands birthday while we were there no wine even though we were assured from reception it would be in the room on Thursday,
Drinks weak and cheap hard to find something to drink.
Sunbeds like gold dust be up crack of dawn to get one on the beach with a parasol.
Queues horrendous at bars, pool, and food.
Food good choice but never felt really hot only lukewarm one morning i queued for ages for a drink got to the front and it ran out of water by the time the guy had sorted it i went back to my table and it had been given away with my food thrown. Took my drink to the terrace to drink.
Greek restaurant was nice special thanks to Kelly for advising us on the menu.
Animation team never said morning or gave us the time of day even though on holiday we do like to join in some of the games never experienced this before.
The entertainment at night was in a small area not everyone can see and not enough seats for people. This could be in a bigger area with more seating perhaps.
The other bars at night are very dark again perhaps some lights on the table.
The terrace is a nice area and the grounds are lovely just a shame a few tweaks and this could be outstanding.
The five stars i go in the management chefs included go round the guests in the day with canopies or drinks asking their views on the hotel .
Unfortunately i would not return until it has improved.

We stayed here for one week (today 8th August being our last day). It has been wonderful from start to finish. This hotel is in a beautiful location with nice rooms and lovely views. Spotlessly clean. This hotel is running at full capacity during uncertain times but has taken all precautions against covid 19. The food has been delicious, the cocktails after 5 are served in nice glassware, daytime is paper cups. Sun beds are competitive but is to be expected at most hotels when full. The staff in all the restaurants were an absolute credit to the hotel and each and everyone of them were so friendly, attentive and polite. Mostly self service but any waiter will bring you drinks if you ask. The entertainments team work hard at ensuring you have a good time too. All of them were very friendly and obviously are great friends. Thank you Atlantica for a wonderful week.

Yeah the residencies is a separate part but just as lovely, has its own pool which id ideal for young kids as only goes to 1m50cm deep and some rooms have their own pools too. Can travel between that part of the hotel and the main hotel by golf buggy l, just get reception to give them a bell or you could walk depending on how hot it is and its not that far between the two.
