My boyfriend and I chose here for our first holiday together and it was incredible but we did have a few problems whilst visiting. I do just want to start by saying the majority of staff are honestly amazing and always willing to help. Food was lovely and always something to eat (I’m a fussy eater and managed just fine). We were late arrivals and there’s food on from midnight till early morning and George is lovely and makes crepes for anyone who asks! The hotel itself is in an incredible location with the view of the mountains and on the sea front. The rooms are very nice and air con is free alongside the safe and works a treat. The beach is very stony and uncomfortable to walk on so we didn’t visit often but we did to do the parasailing which was unbelievable and to use the pedalos - which you get free for half an hour! Around the pool was always lovely but if you turn up at around 11/12 it may be a struggle to get sun beds, especially in busier seasons! But, the first morning we woke up in our room with ants in the bed and on the side drawers. Now ants are nature and often can’t be helped so we spoke to reception who said they would leave a spray for us to use to kill them - not an ideal solution at a ‘5*’ hotel. This didn’t solve the problem. The next day we saw 1/2 in our room and thought we had solved it, however, the next morning (our 3rd day) we woke up to about 40 ants in the room, in the bed, on the desk, in the bathroom. At this point we were a bit fed up, so went back to reception and were spoken to by the Manageress. This was probably our most unpleasant counter with any staff member whilst we were there. She was rude, unhelpful and seemed unwilling to help us in anyway and just simply stating they had no other rooms and there was absolutely nothing she could do.That night we decided to take the complaint further because we didn’t pay £100 a night to be sleeping with ants, so we spoke to the TUI rep who straight away dealt with the issue and within 45 minutes had spoken to the manageress and got us another room (even though she claimed they didn’t have any). In the end it resulted in an upgraded room and we both received a free 45 minute massage all thanks to the TUI rep. If we hadn’t have spoken to him, it would not have been dealt with! However, we absolutely loved the hotel and staff and despite the little hiccup we definitely would return because you just can’t really fault the majority of it!

We go on All Inclusive most years. We are a family of 5 so our choices are limited if we want to be together(most hotels want to put you in 2 rooms and don't offer interconnecting rooms) but not here!We have 2 boys 17 &14 and a girl 11.We had a duplex room which had 3 single beds and a double,One shower room with sink & toilet on the top floor and a large bathroom on the lower with shower over the bath. The balcony looked out to the field at the side and the sea from our lower floor. Our family go on holiday to be together, but equally as they grow we want holidays that can give them independence too in a sage environment.Akti Palace offers the perfect smaller All Inclusive. We have previously been to larger hotels. We loved Akti Palace. The restaurants were well run, varied themed food nights,we went to all of the restaurants,it was nice to have a choice.I am Gluten Free which caused me no trouble as there was always an option. The only thing on that subject that could be improved upon would be clearer labelling in the main restaurant as it was a little hit and miss. Gluten free bread is available upon request. There was a free shuttle into Kardemena, ideal in the evenings. The beach is a little pebbly but there is lovely clear water, they have made sandbank walks which were ideal to enter for swimming and we had already looked at trip advisor and taken wetsuit shoes. Whilst we were there they also made beach walkways across the sand to the beach showers.Would we go again,YES!

hi there, I am a word wide traveller and I arrived with a 6 week old baby, my girlfriend in mother in law. Food is ok at best, not accomadating for vegetarian whom my mother in law and partner is!! the themed restaurants don't have vegetarian food and the staff / chef did not offer a alternative. the Buffett food is not great and Luke warm. Staff always say no to everything. Can not have a hot drink with your meal, you have to go to to the bar. Went to the Thai restaurant and had to sit near the air con fan because of my child, the waiter caused a big kerfuffle over it and eventually I sat were I wanted to do. No lift facilities at hotel for carrying pram up 2 flights of stairs, complained to the TUI rep and explained everything and we would like to go home. There are so many issues her I don't have enough time to write it all. I only came to Europe because of the travel time for the little one and decided to go to Greece, I will not be arriving here again. Its not a 5* at all so please if you are usetew luxury and Nice hotels you will be totally disappointed. I usually go Dubai every year and for the price I paid for this it is cheaper to go Dubai. staff are over worked and don't get any days off which isn't great. customer service is very very poor over. this is a honest review please take note. many thanks.

We are here now. It’s a really lovely hotel. Great food with lots of choice. Staff are all very friendly, polite and happy to please. The pools are great. It has been a very relaxing holiday. If you are looking for a quiet holiday this is the place to be. The drinks are plentiful and the white wine is very good. We have been to all three themed restaurants, going to the Asian twice because it was so nice. Everything has been nice and easy. Had Prosecco on a couple of occasions for two birthdays. The quality of the food is impressive too for an all inclusive. Our room 1121 is a great location and has lovely views. Would definitely return.

We spent a week, and wished it were 2 weeks, at the Akti Palace Hotel. We had a maisonette type apartment. Room#1426. The balcony had the sun almost all day, best mid morning onwards, which I think would apply to most SW facing rooms, so looking towards Kardamena. The food was very good, quality and range. Mostly we used the dining room but occasionally ate near the main pool located between the hotel and the sea. The hotel is about 2miles / 3.2km from Kardamena, a flat walk or cycle away. I hired a MTB from "Smart Rental" and explore the roads and trails local to Kardamena but also over to Kos town in the east and Plakta forest a bit to the West. The fort above Kardamena is accessible by a well made path, which I was aware of but didn't actually find until my last day. We were there in early June and for us the weather was perfect, high 20's to about 30oC. Back to the hotel. It has 3 a la carte restaurants, we only ate in the asian one, which we enjoyed though the set menu was bigger than we would typically have ordered, so perhaps if we had been less indulgent at lunch time we wouldn't have felt quite so stuffed! There is a spa with the typical treatment options. I used the massage service twice. The 2nd time was on the last day as we had a late flight and I had planned to and cycled up to the wind turbines on the mountain above the hotel(cycling is my thing😁). As a hotel guest you get a free 15minute treatment, which of course is an enticement to book something requiring longer. The longer leg and back massage on the last day worked well for me. Overall this we viewed this as a great value and quality hotel. It might not be quite the 5star hotel it is billed as but is certainly 4+ and we would go back.
