Beautiful hotel beautiful food stunning views a little set back but not far from Kardamena 20 minute walk. Room cleaned immaculately every day more for family holiday or couples not 2 young girls.Definitely a relaxing holiday ! The bar eas quiet but relaxing shame the waiter Esham is an obvious player with the ladies Feel sorry for his wife .!! And not just with the young girls older women too ! Major PUT OFF But overall a lovely holiday
So, on some hands it deserves 4 stars and in others 2 stars so I have gone in the middle and gone for 3. Here are reasons: Hotel food - I’d have to say probably the worst I’ve had in any hotel. It’s the furthest thing from kid friendly ever! Have you ever been to a hotel that doesn’t have a toaster for breakfast? As I haven’t! Breakfast was freezing everyday and we lived off pastries! Evening meal was trousers only for men and the food was again cold and nothing for children what so ever. Snack bar around the pool was nice, reasonable pricing but once again, you have to put top and shoes on and I just think it’s so over the top considering it’s a POOL bar. I’m not sure what this hotel is hoping to achieve with long trousers for dinner and covering up at the snack bar as it’s not as posh as you’d think with those rules.. Staff - personally I I was expecting awful things after reading the reviews but I can honestly say all of the staff were really lovely and pleasant apart from the mini market lady which il follow with! Mini market - awful, the worst onsite mini market ever and the women who works in there is the most unpleasant human I’ve ever encountered!! Horrible to children and rude to adults!! They need to get a new worker in there ASAP! Cleaning - for me it was bad but for everyone I spoke to in the hotel couldn’t of raved about it enough... I had sheets changed twice in my time and I requested them to be changed after my son stood on glass and blood was all over them and it took them 2 days after to change them!! Beach - beach is lovely, the lady that works there is lovely the drinks are cheaper and the sunbeds are only €3 which I think is a bargain Location - it’s 20 mins walk until you reach karmendena and I did it twice a day until the last day when I got a taxi for €7. If you walk it on the night it’s dangerous!! The street lights don’t work and the roads/paths are falling apart. But the food and Places in karmendena are worth it. Pool - pool is big but the Steps and stairs are grotty, green slime all over them and I seen 3 people slide on them in my week stay including my 2 year old who got a bruised groin from it! I WOULD stay here again, but only is room only was an option as I wouldn’t have the food ever again and wasted money eating out every night anyway! I would also say due to it being not very kid friendly your better off looking elsewhere if you have children. If they can sort that out and the rude mini market lady and the pools grottiness it would of been better…
Recently returned from our last minute holiday to Lagas Aegean Village and we had a great time! We didn't realise when booking that the hotel was a short distance out of Kardemena but it was only a 15 minute walk. I wouldn't recommend walking it in the dark as there was no street lights or path on some parts of the road. The rooms were excellent and cleaned very well! We were able to decide how often we required the rooms cleaning as well. The food was good - pretty similar choices everyday but not unpleasant in any way. The car rental in the hotel provides a very good service for reasonable prices! We decided to hire a car on the day and drove up to Kos town and Therma beach which was nice. The beach is beautiful and nice to relax at. The sunbeds are charged at 6 euros for the day. The pool is lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds. Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday and Lagas Aegean Village gave us the well needed break we were after!…
We had been anticipating a time we would be able to escape the grim British weather in our new covid reality and booked this on a last minute whim and we are so glad we did. We have traveled to many places around the world and I have to say we were both immensely impressed with the beauty of not only the island but also this hotel. The beach out front is stunning, the perfect place for a day relaxing with a book and breaking it up with a bit of light snorkelling. It isn’t too deep but offers crystal clear waters with lots of fish to see. The hotel itself is fantastic. We were really expecting the worst due to reviews on this site however the food was exceptional every day, with a typical breakfast offering of eggs, bacon etc or yogurt with fruit. The evening meals were beautiful, with a range of different meats and potatoes and lots of options for desert. The pool, although we didn’t use it due to being obsessed with the beach, is big with plenty of amenities around including a pool bar, snack bar and a little shop. The shop could have done with more options (we stupidly brought the wrong travel adapter so struggled all holiday since nowhere seemed to sell them). The only down side for me was the WiFi, I found it was a little slow at times and had some issues connecting. This wasn’t too much of an issue as our networks allowed for free overseas usage. Overall, we loved our stay. The staff were all helpful and polite, and the views from this hotel were outstanding. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to all our friends and hope to return in future!…
I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the lagas Aegean with my 4 year old son. Never in all my years of travelling the Greek islands have I come across such a cold unwelcoming reception from staff. The woman who works in the POOLSIDE mini market told my 4 year to wait alone outside as his shorts were slightly damp. Now being that I was there to buy several lilos this is not acceptable. Get a mop woman your by the pool not in town!! Then asked him to standstill whilst outside so he doesn't splash the floor?! I mean come on. No choice for children whatsoever at meal times. No toast. No kids club or entertainment at all. The only good member of staff was Antonio at the POOLSIDE bar. Was a pleasure to see for a smile. Dont waste your money if your a family you will be disappointed I'm afraid.…
