A very late review Lidi the barman on the outside bar is amazing!! Will go out his way for anyone! He is great! (If hes still there) Very welcoming and loves a bit of banter. Perfect hotel, Rooms are great, very clean, love the fact that you can see the planes come in to land so close. Brilliant English breakfast on the all inclusive. Even give you a packed lunch if your out on excursions for the day. Bery friendly staff. Made us a great holiday!! Its a must
Absolutely stunning location, a stones through from the beautiful kalamaki beach. Gorgeous pool with nice water features. Food was outstanding! Stayed for 7nights in August 2019 and have booked again for this August...for 10nights. Cannot wait to return to this paradise!
We had an amazing holiday in September 19 that I have just rebooked for this September, looking forward to seeing Angela George stakis (wee stevie) and the restaurant guys, the hotel is spotless and the good is amazing
Arrived at the golden Sun Hotel on 16th Sep for two weeks, very pleasant lady on reception checking us in and showing us around the hotel, we had a lovely room on the top floor which was cleaned to a high standard and lovely view of the planes coming in and view of the mountains and sea. The restaurant was spotless and the food and the staff was excellent, entertainment only once per week which was a let down. Nice walk along the main road to the bars and restaurants and a superb Indian and Chinese restaurant the food was amazing. We highly recommend this hotel but we wont be returning as the area was too quiet for us.
Just returned from a brilliant week (end of season) stay with my friend. The hotel is very well located, just a 2 min walk from the gorgeous beach and 5 mins walk to the main strip in Kalamaki. Yes, it is close to the airport and the planes are very low when coming in to land. This didn't bother us at all, wasn't particularly noisy and actually a novelty to watch. We had a lovely, spotlessly clean and spacious room overlooking the pool. Everything you could need was provided, including a fridge, kettle, safe deposit box and iron. Towels were changed daily, room was cleaned daily and sheets changed every other day. As with the room, every part of the hotel, inside and out was spotless. Lovely pool and gardens, with a pool bar serving drinks and snacks all day. The restaurant food was excellent with plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although there was no entertainment (due to the collapse of Thomas Cook) this didn't bother us at all. Stathis the barman was more than happy to chat, while always remembering what we liked to drink! The staff are a real credit to this hotel. Always smiling and happy to help, nothing is too much trouble. Again, due to the Thomas Cook collapse, for the last 3 days of our stay, we found that we were the only guests in the hotel! Initially it did feel a bit strange, but we were assured that absolutely everything would remain the same - and it did! Everyone went out of their way to make us feel at ease. A big thank you must go to Angela on Reception, Stathis the Barman, Sakis the Chef and Socrates and Kostas the restaurant waiters. Lovely friendly people who genuinely enjoyed their jobs and worked hard to ensure that we had a first class holiday. They succeeded! Cannot fault this hotel and would highly recommend for a very relaxing holiday. Thank you!…
