Here right now with my Husband and 2 teenagers 14 & 17. The owner was very helpful and friendly on our arrival. We got a taxi from the airport which was only a 7 minute journey and cost €13.

Our apartment overlooked the pool and it was big and spacious. Apartment was cleaned most days.

We opted for bed and breakfast but because of covid all meals were served outdoors around the bar area but this was not a problem. Breakfast was a bit slow on the first couple of days but that's because there were more guest and only one bar lady/waitress (she is lovely by the way!)
but the rest of the days were fine. Breakfast was served from 8am-10am, with choices of full English, Greek or kids breakfast with was cereal and ham and cheese with toast.

The pool is fantastic, the kids said its the best and cleanest they've ever seen not all full of sun lotion like other pools we've been in.
Sun beds were also the best and most comfortable we've had too.

The apartment is a bit if a walk away from the nearest beach (about a 20 minute walk) We hired a car because we wanted to see the island. Our sat nav on our phones did the job of navigating us everywhere we wanted to go no problem.
25 mins to Turtle rescue centre and beach
48 mins to shipwreck cove port to get the boat for a trip there.

Overall we've had the best time and I would absolutely recommend this apartment complex but I would recommend getting a hire car to get around but its not essential.

We are checking out today sadly after what can only be described as a perfect 5night stay. Checking in was fast and efficient and so happy we got upgraded to 3bed apartment 102 overlooking swimming pool. Apartment was spotless with 3 massive bedrooms to choose from and each 1 had balcony. Kitchen facilities are basic but perfectly adequate and well stocked with crockery, cutlery and drinking glasses. Fridge is sizeable with small freezer section included. There is dining table in hallway for those who wish to eat indoors. Each balcony has its own table set. 1ensuite bathroom and large main bathroom this is an ideal apartment for family or group of friends.
Complex itself is charming and has a Mama Mia feel to it. Grounds are well maintained and centre stage is a meticulous maintained large swimming pool with a smaller circular pool adjacent to it. Sunbeds and canopied swingbed surround pool on 3 sides with other side taken up by shaded terraced area which houses the bar and restaurant where meals are served throughout the day.
Breakfast is help yourself affair and caters for all tastes. Speciality Greek breakfast, continental, English, and amazing array of different breads with unlimited coffee tea juices etc makes this a perfect way to start the day.
Located a 20 minute stroll from the kalamakki strip. The hotel setting is peaceful and views stunning from all 3 balconies with 2 facing the mountains and 1 facing the sea. Supermarket a 5minute walk and excellent restaurant a further 5 minute walk. This is the perfect location for anyone wanting to experience life on the edge of a busy tourist location
What makes this place even more special however are the wonderful people who work here. They care passionately about there hotel and they go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is the best it could ever be.

We stayed as a family of 4 (children aged 11 and 13) for 14 nights.

Anagenessis is super clean (the maid comes every day and regular fresh towels and sheets throughout our stay) with some beautiful views of the sea and mountains from our room (202). The air con is priced at 10euros a night and is a must as it was hot hot hot.

The family/staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The Greek nights (every Friday) I highly recommend as they serve delicious home cooked Greek cuisine, in such a beautiful setting with Greek dancing to end the evening.

Breakfast is a lovely selection of hot and cold foods, the snack menu at lunch was also really good, and we also ate in the evenings of a couple of occasions, again lovely food in beautiful surroundings.

Although there is a 25 min walk to the centre of kalamaki and 30 mins to the beach, you can easily book a taxi which was about 7-8euros. As a family with older children the walk was ok for us, just take a torch for coming back at night. The only disadvantage is that walking with young children or pushchairs I personally wouldn’t recommended as there is no pavement, so taxis would be the only option really.

The mini market (Christos) is a 5 min walk away which has everything that you would need and although small is still cheaper than the supermarket that is a 5 min drive away.

I would highly recommend this hotel for a lovely peaceful stay away from the main strip, with its views, cleanliness and friendly hospitality as it’s main points.

Thank you for a lovely stay.

The worst thing about the hotel is the location, unless you have transport you have to walk along a very busy main road, the resort of Kalamaki is one hour walk away, it is not a suitable location for anyone with mobility difficulties.
Hotel was advertised as a spa Hotel with massage and other treatments available.
There was none, also the hotel is needing a lot of maintenance, the bathroom floor was never dry, you could not go in without sandals. We booked b & b, breakfast was very disappointing, hot food was barely warm and not very good, the toast was OK.
There were very few staff and it is the first time I have to make my own bed, the bottom sheet was on the bed, the top sheet lying folded on the top,
There were no leaflets for local places of interest in the reception and the staff never offered any info either.
The only redeeming feature is that the evening meals were very good although the menu only had a few choices.
Everywhere else we ate was very good.

We just came back from 7 day holiday and we can say that we were satisfied.
Our room was clean and spacious for 3 people bathroom was ok I have no complaints very simple.
The location of the hotel is a 25 minute walk to the beach/kalamaki which was a bit of a pain but we already knew this before booking this hotel so we were prepared however there is no pavement or nothing so you are literally walking on the side of the road with cars passing by nonstop which is a bit scary so we did take a taxi couple times which was €8 to kalamaki (you can ask reception they will book it for you)
The breakfast is from 8-10am just a normal selection different breads, eggs, omelettes, cakes, beans etc. nothing to complain about since it’s breakfast but there are cats everywhere so if you don’t like that …don’t come to Greece.
The staff overall are very kind, friendly and helpful
Rooms were cleaned everyday, bed made and fresh towels :)
We ate at the restaurant couple times they have pretty good food the pizza is freshly made and so nice and chips freshly made which we enjoyed, the prices are a bit more at the hotel I also found that the price € on the menu sometimes would be €2 more when the bill would come I think overall the prices went up so they definitely need to update the menu for example a soft drink on menu €2 and I paid €4 so for a small soft drinks I was abit taken back but overall they have good food.
The hotel is in a quiet location away from everything so you never have any loud music playing which is a plus.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to have a calm relaxing holiday! this was our first time in Zante and we leave with loads of great memories thank you to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable😄

We had a fantastic stay here in Anagenessis. This is a family run hotel, we came in the end of September, not many guests around, so it felt we had a villa for ourselves. Our room had a fantastic view of the mountains and the sea, huge balcony, perfect to see the sun rising behind the mountains everyday. Great pool, we were on half board, so breakfast and dinner. Dinner you get to pick one starter and one main course and the portions are huge, so you defo not gonna get hungry here. Only thing I have to say is there could be more options for breakfast. They also have a snack bar and lunch menu, which you could pay separately and the food is so good. There’s a supermarket less than 5 min walk and to get to Kalamaki area, where all bars and restaurants and action are, it takes 15 min walk via the main road . To get to the beach, same road and about 20 min walk. During the day, this route is done without a problem, but heading in the evening I would recommend a taxi (which is a 4 min drive) or rent a car . We hired one for a couple of days to know the beaches around, and our favourite was Laganas beach. There’s a lot to do around this island, horse riding, visiting ship wreck, etc, this hotel is actually in a great place, because it’s so quiet and peaceful, away from all bars and restaurants but still walking distance is great, you actually manage to rest. Lady from the bar and restaurant is super lovely and anything we asked her, it was never a problem, she’s great! Defo recommend this hotel and the whole stay was fantastic and it is going to be really sad for me to leave.

We arrived to be told on our first day we would need to change rooms 11 days into our 14 night stay, we declined and was soon told that it was ok they had found an alternative.
Sun beds were a struggle if you was not down by the pool for 8 am then you had no chance. We asked if they could put more beds out to be told that no because of covid rules, we bumped into a rep at a neighbouring hotel who told us there was no covid rules, that was it for us we had previously read the reviews on how lovely the staff were but already they had lost any respect or trust. The following day beds appeared on the grass after the rep paid a visit to the hotel.
The young lad in the kitchen was pleasant and so was the young girl. As far as the others we felt we had crossed them and there was an atmosphere.
We found that they were more expensive than neighbouring hotels for food and drink. We found out on the 2nd to last day cocktails were 3 for 2 another couple we spoke to said they had cocktails throughout there stay and was never told 3 for 2. We asked if we could have 2 and have the 3rd one made up after we had finished. We was told they were too busy. No one was at the bar!
The island takes people for voluntary work for the turtles and welcomes them for free to use the facilities at this hotel they also offer a cheaper menu. We didn't see any of them the first week but by the 2nd week you would have upto 12 in the pool playing with the kids inflatable's not watching there language, one day the hotel has 3 double beds on like a swing and they were all taken up in the afternoon by the volunteers not 2 to a bed but one persons on the whole of the double bed a sleep.
The place is advertised as a kids park there was only 2 swings. We could not see a pool table. The crazy golf was over grown.
The apartment was spotless we had cleaners daily. The bathroom was in a poor condition, the bath was peeling and the shower wasn't mounted. The patio door leading into the balcony did not lock.
We found a lovely bakery down the road bakes and coffee run by a lovely friendly gentleman, he served the most gorgeous cakes and savoury's.
If I returned I would most definitely stop closer to the main town.

Just back from the anagennesis. Lovely quite ambience, very peaceful feeling about the place. Staff very pleasant and helpful, not forgetting the lovely weather for 2 weeks. We booked this after the comments on trip advisor. Here is ours. A lot of the accommodation listening to other guests needs some serious maintenance and updating, mould around the baths hot water spasmodic best time was at night! As for walking to the resort in kalamaki it took us 20 minutes, then another 15 minutes to the beach., if your not good walkers it will take longer or a taxi there and back at 8 euros each way. The walk is alongside the road both ways hardly any path. The wi fi is good around the pool but we could only get it in the corner of our downstairs room.
Now the biggest contentious thing of all. The air conditioning cost us 130 euros for 13 days! 10 euros a day. The safety box was 12 euros a week so having paid £1800 for the holiday this to me was disgraceful. So there we have it as I seen it. If you want to lie by the lovely pool every day and do nothing but relax and sunbathe you will love it, but for those wanting to get about a bit will struggle . Will we return we may well consider it if the place was to have money spent on maybe but until then no.

Spent a week here with two youngsters aged 12 and 15, and we had a lovely relaxing week. It’s an attractive hotel with a great pool and pretty grounds.
Our room was spacious and very clean, and overall the hotel provides great value for money.

The hotel is in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle but is in no way remote. We walked into town in the evenings took about 20 minutes and then got a €6 taxi home. To me that’s the best of both worlds, as for the most part we prefer the peace and quiet.

The hotel offers a varied menu and the food is very nice. As an alternative there are two really good restaurants within a ten minute walk.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They really are attentive and work incredibly hard to look after their guests.

This is a lovely little family run hotel, with nice gardens .
We had a suite (408) which was very large with great views ..Everything was kept clean, towels were changed when ever we need them.
It was Well worth the daily cost of air conditioning , it also seems to keep the mosquitoes away !!
Breakfast had most things available however the bacon and beans were nearly always cold which was a shame. The evening meal was very good ( I especially recommend the beef Rago) but would suggest a change of menu occasionally would be a bonus. The Greek night has a large selection of Greek and Zakynthos food. People were going back for third and four helpings .
The staff are really friendly ,A special mention to Rebecca and Dionysius, will miss these two. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Plus our cleaner was a lovely lady (sorry have forgotten her name)
As others have mentioned , you are a little way out of town ( 20min walk), however there is a supermarket just 5 mins away and a nice coffee/cake shop a further 5 mins along the road. You do have to be careful walking however as road is quite busy , would suggest taking taxi after dark.

Would strongly recommend this hotel , it has a great, authentic Greek feel to it along with wonderful staff .

It's possible as there are ground floor rooms, but there are a few steps around the hotel and grounds. Also, it's a good 20 to 25 minute walk to the restaurants and beach along a road without a footpath so you would definitely need a car.

Hi. Ac is fitted in the rooms. And shops are a fair distance from this hotel but there are a few locllal shops and a small store.. Car and bike hire is available, as you are under 20 please find out about hire. But hotel is very good with decent wifi and swimming pool. Airport is about 20 mins and the main town is about 30-40 mins from this hotel. Hope this helps.
