My boyfriend and I stayed with Liz and Stephen for a short midweek break, and we were delighted with the service and especially late access to rooms - hard to find in a family run B&B. The pub has a very relaxed local atmosphere and Liz is very knowledgeable and eager to inform about the surrounding area. The Guinness is... More

Liz and her team are very friendly and hard-working during the high season. A special thanks to the cooker Joe who prepared my Irish beef burger (the best I had after travelling 2 weeks in Ireland) a second time because I broke my plate! This is very convenient to have the the pub downstairs and there is no noise in... More

I wanted to love this place going in and I pretty much did. The start was a little rocky with a mix up in our reservation. The management made it right, however, and our room was very comfortable and clean. Also, the first night they had run out of several of the menu items on their small menu, which was... More

This 10 oz steak was cooked perfectly to my specifications. The onions, mushrooms and pepper sauce complimented the meat. Wonderful meal. My wife's lamb was tender and tasty. Thank you Chef Joe. The hostess were friendly and helpful.

Family of 3 spent two great nights in a triple room at the Anvil. Perfect location from which to explore Killarney National Park, Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Our room (the Forge) was very comfortable and the breakfasts were hearty. Our host, Liz, was fantastic - incredibly welcoming and generous with her knowledge of the area. The Anvil was... More

Very enjoyable one night stay and some great craic with landlady. Handy overnighter if touring area including the peninsulas. Food was all you could wish for in this sort of establishment (or actually better) Room had double plus single beds which suited us fine. All clean and as good again as could expect in such an inn.

I was initially a bit wary as we had booked a room here in a crunch seeing that our preferred option had sold out and that this place looked to be in the middle of nowhere. But am I ever glad that we did choose The Anvil! You could not ask for better service, food, nor a location from which... More

We stayed here for one night prior to our flight out of Kerry airport. It was clean, family friendly and affordable, only about a 15 minute drive to the airport. Plenty of locals to welcome you. The only disadvantage was the televisions were small, but the rooms were a great size and bathrooms were remodeled .

The roast beef cooked by Joe was delicious and ably served by Eimear. Internet problems caused some difficulty with credit card transactions but she remained calm and methodical and smiling! Thanks to Liz for her passionate recommendation to do the Slea Head Drive around the Dingle Peninsula. It was brilliant.
