We take an annual shopping trip to Tlaquepaque. It is usually a group of 3-6, 40+ in age women. We all live either part time or most of the year in Mexico. Quinta Don Jose is, by far, our favorite hotel to stay in for our trip. It is charming and traditionally artistic in regional décor. The location could not...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta Don Jose. The property is well-located in a very safe area of the city. It is gated and offers free airport pickup. We stayed at the Villa #3, which is a two bedroom, one bath, and kitchen villa across the street from the main hotel. This was perfect for our family of 4....

We booked rooms here on the advice of a friend. The property is gated, has parking, a swimming pool, several loungers and is well kept. It has various room types available, decorated in simple Mexican style, old but clean. The linens were sparkling white, the beds comfy, the showers hot.A continental breakfast of fresh fruit, home made morning glory buns, juice...

Dear Cheryl08, Thank you so much for your review of QDJ! We're so happy that you noticed our newest room feature: Cold & Hot Water Dispensers! We have never limited our guests with purified drinking water, but we wanted to improve on that. We strive to be a small but professional operation. In keeping with this, we'll continue to add...

Don't get me wrong… This hotel is well-located, charming, and very convenient…Over all, I enjoyed my stay. However, at more than $150 a night (high for the area), I would have expected fewer rough edges… The finishes are haphazard… the workmanship appears substandard (more Watts towers than colonial charm). There is a spacious secure parking lot. It's a hassle to...

Dear HHPas, Thank you so much for taking time to share your lodging experience with QDJ! We're ALWAYS looking to improve our operation and are VERY INTERESTED in learning the specifics about the "rough edges", "haphazard finishes" and "substandard workmanship" that you have referred to. Also, you referred to a "hassle to get someone's attention to get in and out"...

We were in Tlaquepaque between Christmas and New Years. We loved our room which had a great view and all the amenities you could want. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent as are the breakfasts that are included. Most especially, the staff were friendly, helpful, bilingual and treated us like honored guests. The manager, Andreas, was wonderful as were...

We have visited Tlaquepaque numerous times, and Quinta Don Jose is our hotel of choice. The inn's public spaces are charming; the breakfasts are the best; the staff couldn't be more helpful; and the location just a couple of blocks from the walkable, historic town center is ideal. We're already looking forward to another visit.

What an amazing place. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Before we even checked out we were already making excuses that we needed to come back and visit just so we could stay here again. I travel quite a lot and I can assure you the staff are the friendliest you will find any where. Great job! See you soon.
