The hotel actually has two parts - the hotel ase in the buildings around the pool and the building ca 50 m away of much lower standard, more a backpackers lodge. So be careful when you book. In the hotel part the rooms are spacious, opening to the terrace, well furnished, comfortable, with WIFI working once better, once worse (still...

I stayed 5 nights in the budget aircon room with shared bathroom and then a further 6 nights in the Native room. The budget room is very basic (could do with a bin and at least 1 hook for hanging towels /wet clothes). The aircon and fan were decent and affective, which in 30 degrees C is essential. The shared...

The rooms are okay, not fantastic but a fair standard compare to many other hotels in the Philippines. The best feature is the pool and its actually very nice. The problem is the staff, 2 out of 4 days our rooms was not cleaned, in the "restaurant" the staff was more interested in there phones than looking after the guests...

A 10 minute walk at the most from boat drop off. We hadn't booked a room and we're able to get a room for 1 night. Too bad it wasn't both nights as this was much better value. Right on the beach, massage right there, breakfast included, AC and drinking water in room and a huge pool. Room was average,...

This hotel is well past its prime and the presidential suite we stayed in was not very presidential apart for the nice sea view and balcony. The room is basic with a bathroom that needs renovation and hot water in the basin. But it's an island hotel and as such you cannot expect much more than this at the price....

Resorts in Malapascua Island lined up the shore. It has fine white sand with clear blue water. This resort was located along a shore. Foods taste fresh and delicious. The pool is quite big, has a gym and has a wide shoreline. De luxe room is quite big, water in the bathroom has a slow pressure, bed is ok and...

We enjoyed the pool; one of the only ones available on the island, I think. And really enjoyed the second room we took on the left-hand side of the pool... with quality fittings, tiled floors, two comfy beds etc. The mini gym overlooking the pool was well fitted-out too... surprisingly `usable`. Unfortunately the first room we took was too basic...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Malapascua Island is situated two and a half hours away by car and four hours away by bus from the city of Cebu. A barangay of the town of Daanbantayan, Malapascua Island takes pride in its world class diving spots and pristine white sand beaches. It is widely referred by locals as the "Boracay of Cebu." As a diving destination, Malapascua Island has become known for its beautiful coral gardens and excellent local dive spots, as well as further out sites like Gato Island, Monad Shoal, and Kemod Shoal. Monad Shoal is an underwater plateau where thresher sharks and manta rays can be seen on a regular basis. The town's name is derived from two Spanish words, "mal" and "pascua", which translated in English means, "bad" and "Easter" or bad Christmas. According to locals, the Spaniards named the island that way after they arrived there on a stormy Christmas. Malapascua Island is a promise of a great dive and a relaxing beach experience, making it a popular travel destination for local and foreign tourists alike. ... more   less
