The only reason to come to Malapascua is the diving - there's really nothing else to do. The hotel is set up for divers. The staff are very friendly. The food in the restaurant is much better than I'd expected though the services is very slow. This is a comfortable resort rather than a luxury one. The rooms are fairly... More

The staff here were very helpful and friendly. DM did an excellent job showing us the best stuff of the dive sites. Thresher shark sighting was incredible, and we took some nice shots of the mandarin fish mating dance too. Water was amazingly clear. Overall the experience was very nice and its definitely worth it. Shouldn't expect much for the... More

It is very out of the way, but the resort handled everything from the transfers to the dives. Everything was prearranged and smooth considering the logistics needed to get there. The thresher sharks were bloody awesome and eerie.. Sure enough we saw 3, wasn't expecting any but they were there when we went down. Worth the trip just for them.

Location: I love the little bungalow we rented. It was steps from the water just like what we wanted. The sliding door opens to the beautiful ocean view and it was just lovely waking up to that every morning. Service: I love how everyone was very nice and prompt. I took my family for this vacation and they enjoyed the... More

Malapascua is a tiny island off the northern tip of Cebu. It can be a challenging road journey from Cebu city to the island. Guests can get quotes all the way up to P 6, 000 for a one way transfer. The cheapest way we have researched is to get on a bus from Cebu city to Maya port (P... More

We visited the island/property despite friends and colleagues warning of gigantic waves and whatnots. Still we proceeded on with little knowledge of getting there. We only knew the basics, (1) what terminal to get to for the bus ride north, (2) ferry schedule should be early for calmer seas, (3) never give in to canvassers when arriving in the island.... More

Second time staying at this resort. We were here diving in Sept 2010. We came back as I wanted to see the Thresher sharks (only Padi open water on first visit so wasn't able to go down that deep). Enjoyed the diving which we did every day despite the weather not being so good. The resort offers up to 4... More
