We went there for a weekend just before the new year's craze and after the Christmas "meshugas". Can't be better: Lovely place, nice surroundings, trails, great swimming pool, good food, small but clean and correct rooms. It's not a 5-star hotel, nor a typical all inclusive, although you get three meals (have to, unless you plan on hunting). Another good thing: No cell phone coverage but Wi-Fi.
Reservations were courteous and efficient. We were greeted by our names (mind you, we were the only ones there that day!), got a small tour of the premises, and went straight to...siesta!
Nothing to say that's bad, maybe a bit overpriced, but that's the only way that the tourist "industry" seems to understand their business and this, by far, is not the worst offender.
Best of all: The scenery, typical of central Chile's valleys. Beautiful. The personell was just charming, friendly, going out of their ways. Worth the visit, especially since it is 88Km, 1:05 hours...

We spent a night on Dec 2012. The setting is great, typical pre-cordillerean of central Chile. A nice river, green all around, and the mountains very close. There are good trails for trekking. Indeed a nice retreat from the city, only an hour drive from Santiago. The hotel itself is an old heritage building that was before 19723 in the hands of the jesuits. Rooms are ample, comfoortable but rather basic. The restaurant is fairly good, and personnel is very attentive. More
