Fabulous place to stay with two attentive hosts. Idyllic hideaway in the heartland of the wine reagion we like best. Beautiful rooms, gated private parking and wonderful amenities including a cool pool area. Lovely quite spaces, definitely a must stay..we will be back.
A small friendly Maision d”Hotes in the heart of the left bank of the Gironde. The accommodation is excellent with a refreshing individuality and flair. Dining in is recommended as Pascale’s food is delightful, and there is a small but interesting wine list. The care and support for guests was tremendous, helping resolve travel issues, highlighting local places to visit, and making introductions to local winemakers, as well as adapting to (non-gluten) dietary requirements.
We wanted to stay in the middle of vineyards and we weren't disappointed. There's parking and a nice small outdoor pool Plenty of seats and sunbeds, unfortunately the weather wasn't very good while we were there. Large comfortable bed room, good shower Breakfast really good, Pascal's homemade products, ordered the night before. Also had a lovely evening meal one night If you want to eat out in the evening Cafe lavinal is walkable in about 20 minutes and there are paths and lights if it's dark Highly recommend
Great place in an amazing location, with one of the best vineyards as closest neighbors. Owners were very helpful and patient with our family (two small kids, not always showing their best :)) Pascale made us one of the best dinners we had in France. She even took us to a private wine tour to a neighbor vineyard. Room was very spacious and clean. We would be glad to come back one day :)
Pascale has an incredible home! It was in a fantastic location, and she was an extremely welcoming host. The bed was very comfortable and the room was impeccably clean. We only stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend Le Coeur des Vignes if you are traveling to the Medoc region!!
I can't imagine coming to Pauillac and not staying here. Pascale and Patrick run a very comfortable establishment, with a lot of personal touches. It's more like staying in a family, rather than a lodging. On my final night, I had dinner which was a superb magret de canard. Completely happy with my stay and looking forward to returning!
It is hard to even imagine a better place in Pauillac. Every room is unique and very cozy, the breakfast is very good and includes some very fresh fruit and homemade jam. Pascale & Alex really are the perfect hosts, extremely kind and helpful every step of the way with vineyards and restaurants recommendations, itineraries, etc. The pool area is ideal during the Summer months, but this place is a sanctuary for the four seasons..
Pascale and her husband Patrick and wonderful, kind hosts. The setting of the Chambres d'Hote is between Pauillac and St. Julien. Most convenient as a walker to explore nearby top Chateaux. They are also on the local bus line. I spent several days walking among the vineyards and visiting Chateaux. The breakfasts are fairly simple, but do include homemade yogurt. And when I asked Pascale about the plum tree in her front yard, I had fresh homemade plum jam the next morning. Pascale and Alex are non obtrusive, but there if you need them and are happy to be of assistance at request. The room I had was large, with large windows overlooking Pichon Baron. The ensuite bathroom had a great and spacious enough shower, while being a tight but adequate fit at the sink.
We had a wonderful stay in this stunningly stylish guesthouse. Pascale was the perfect hostess; kind, gracious and hospitable. From the moment we booked we were impressed with her thoroughness, thoughfulness and organisation. Her food was delicious and her hospitality knew no bounds. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, elegant. The tour and tasting with Alain, the winemaker neighbour, was friendly, informative and charming. And the wine is great too. The location was central for a bike riding tour, visiting the stunning wine chateaux of the region. The bikes were arranged locally by Pascale and delievered and collected from the hotel. The local restaurants, as recommended, were truly impressive. Thank you Pascale for a fantastically memorable 4 days and we hope to return soon.…
Had a wonderful experience at this beautiful home next to Chateau Pichon Baron. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner with Pascale and Alex. The room was beautiful with a view of Pichon Baron.Pascale even helped us arrange for a tour of a small winery down the street from their house. The friendliness of Pascale and Alex really made our trip. Had a wonderful lunch at Mimis about 2 km from the house that Pascale recommended.Thank you Pascale and Alex.
