We have stayed in the Casitas several times and always have a wonderful time! We always meet new people and renew friendships with others. The resort took a few hits from the weather as late but the level of attention to detail was truly amazing. The food is always excellent and the staff dedicated to making our stay wonderful. Our “Butlers” Karen “Kat”, Adrianna and Hector were very accommodating to our every need. Miss Vicky (now cooking in 3100) made us feel special with her friendliness and wonderful food! Pool bartenders are a must and Ricardo and Jonathan are the best. Guillermo in the Wine Kitchen is a fantastic waiter, we took all of his recommendations and enjoyed a wonderful meal! We are already booked to return in March and November 2021. Can’t wait.

This resort is huge. Actually 3 resorts, two adult and one family. Casitas is a little more romantic and upscale but if we book again we will book in Karisma. Casitas we had a stand alone beach front that was very nice but not worth extra in my opinion. Most entertainment and restaurants are closer to Karisma. Lots of property to walk that we love also golf cart rides available. Generations has some nice restaurants as well. Must go to Di Italian Casitas very very good. All food was spectacular and staff great and very friendly. Make sure to stop by the Martini bar and see Aracely.

Despite some hurricane damage prior to our trip, El Dorado Casitas was a beautiful paradise. Almost all of the restaurants were open & the food was great, as always. Our butlers, Alexis, Gaby & Claudio, were fantastic & checked in with us several times daily, brought ice & lime & whatever we needed. They made all of our wonderful dinner reservations & were extremely friendly & attentive. Kudos to them!! Spending our days at the pool & therefore pool bar was great as Ricardo the bartender & Raul the beach/pool butler took very good care of us. We arrived to our room at about bar closing time but Ricardo introduced himself & set me up with our 1st drinks of the trip. 3:00 mini beers were perfect & a lot of fun!! Lunch at 31 every day prepared by Miss Vicky was truly something special! Even though she was wearing a mask, her eyes were always smiling & sparkling!! What a gem!! Her tacos & ceviche were delicious, as always! Jonas, our concierge also checked in a couple times a day to make sure our needs were being met. Paradise. Excellent food. Fantastic service & attention. Staff always makes us feel at home as soon as we arrive. Looking forward to our visit in 2021!!!

This was another amazing trip! The occupancy was around 60%, which is the Mexican government imposed limit, and the PPE and distancing changes to make us feel safe were well carried out. All of the staff wore masks AT ALL TIMES, and no one else entered the room while we were there. Housekeeping would only come when the room was unoccupied, and could also be empty afterward for enough time to "air out." Room service and mini-bar restocking would be only on demand, and delivered to the door so as not to enter the room unnecessarily (although we did allow them to bring in a large breakfast once, but only with permission). Even with these restrictions, the service seemed even more attentive than our past 3 trips... From our two amazing butlers Hector and Adriana, to the concierge Fabio, and the beach butler Raul, our needs were never left unanswered. From customizing the bar in the room and correcting for missing amenities (part of our membership) that were missed by the reservation department was fast and over the top. Attention at the beach was great, with Bali bed preparation, drinks, towels, etc. And props to the pool bartender Ricardo (building 31) for keeping us "hydrated!" Drinks were delicious and plentiful. (we do recommend bringing your own insulated cups, we forgot!) Similarly, when we had been promised a "special night to celebrate our anniversary," but then the concierge that had made that promise acted as though I had dreamed up the whole conversation, we decided to go back you our favorite foodie experience, Fuentes Culinary Theater. However, our butlers Adriana and Hector once again made sure we had a special night after all... On arrival to the outdoor waiting area, we were immediately recognized by the Head Sommelier, Piet (funny and super nice guy!), and greeted by name. We were placed at a prime table for the show, and also felt as though every person at the restaurant knew our names (even the chef, Eduardo!), and were ALL wanting us to have everything perfect. Waiters Jesus and Oscar especially went out of their way with superior service on our two visits to Fuentes. Sommelier Piet even arranged for us to purchase a super special/hard to find bottle of Tequila to bring back to the states. Gracias! Special shout out to Karen (Diamond Elite Butler) for her special attention to getting us back to our room after the amazing Fuentes dinner... ;) Naay Spa Massages were a split experience. The beach massage location had been destroyed in the storms, so they were already starting behind the goal line. We had two massage experiences during the week, and the first was "ok," and we marked the surveys as "good" rather than "excellent." But before we could even make it out the door of the spa, the manager asked us what would make our experience better. We both told him that we liked a deeper tissue massage, and that even with prompting, this was not our experience this time. But on the second visit, we had two amazing therapists that met our expectations perfectly! Make sure you are clear with the Spa when *making the appointment* to let them know exactly what you expect from the massage or other services. They can't read your minds, but they will do everything to meet your expectations if known. Lomas Travel was also perfect. Met us at the airport, escorted us to our transfer, and made flexible return arrangements for us to get back with plenty of time. We arrived just after Tropical Storm Eta, and the damage from the two prior storms was visible, but constantly being repaired... Very impressed with the continuous improvement and adaptation to the recent damage. We will certainly be coming back year after year. And will even try to request certain people to be part of our team if possible! Only negative we can think of is that the house wine list didn't meet our expectations, wanting a good, basic cabernet sauvignon for dinners. We may bring a few bottles with us next time. The high end/extra cost wine list had some decent selections, but at the additional cost, it would not bother us to just bring our own (seems silly since this is an all-inclusive, but this small change would make the regular dinners more enjoyable).
