Our company held a team building event here last week and as the coordinator of the group I have to say that the team at El Dorado is extremely attentive and did an amazing job. The pre arrival arrangements were detailed and everyone was so helpful. Once we were on site there were a few last minute changes i wanted to make and everyone was quick to act and extremely helpful. A few of our team members are still raving about the service of butlers Alexis, Alfredo, Gerardo, Raffa and so many more. Overall it was a very nice experience for our team and we would definitely consider coming back for another event.
We came to el dorado for 4 nights in late July with some friends. They stayed at royal and we stayed at the casitas and it was absolutely perfect!!! We were able to relax and still meet up with them for tequila tastings and for dinner. We had a butler which was Next level amazing for us, Hugo was so nice and made sure the whole time that we were completely taken care of. He aired up our floats and made sure we had limes and mixers in our room every day. We ate at several of the restaurants and they are, a lot better than we expected. Room service is fabulous 10/10 would recommend going and having the full experience Oh and we went horseback riding at bonanza ranch which is on site and got to swim in a cenote while monkeys played in the trees above us!!
Summary: My wife and I went stayed for a week at this resort and we had a relaxing trip. We stayed in the 2500 block of suites in the Casitas part of the resort. Overall, the resort was well groomed, the food was good, and the staff were excellent. If you are looking for a more secluded experience the casitas section of this resort is a good spot. Below are some of our observations: Pros: -The staff! They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Julio was our bartender at our 2500 block pool and he made our trip! -Each block of casitas has its own pool and bar so, it does not feel crowed. Plus, if you want a more festive feel, walk down to the big pool. _Each casitas block has its own concierge which is very helpful. -The food was really good. Our favorite spot was La Isla (Mexican) followed by Kampai (Asian), and Habb (Indian). -The resort is beautiful, it is extremely well groomed. -The casitas have their own dedicated beach beds which are awesome. -The room had a private outdoor shower which was unique. Cons: -The 2500 block was a bit outdated and worn. -This resort is huge! Its actually three resorts in one. Generations section (families), Casitas (adult), and Royale (Adult). As a casitas guest you can visit any of the sections for food and fun, but if you aren't very mobile you will have to catch a golf cart. If you are a walker, dodging golf carts will get annoying. -Room service had a fairly limited menu and if you used the resort app to order, it would take about 45 minutes even for something as simple as coffee. -The app. I think it still has some bugs to be worked out, but once they iron out the wrinkles, it will be very useful. Other things: -This resort is secluded. You cannot walk into town such as resorts in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. -Its about 20 minutes from the airport. -Bring insect repellent; 7-8pm is known as the "mosquito hour." -Plan out your dinners with you concierge early to ensure you can dine at your favorite spots. Some restaurants are not open every night for dinner. -You will get the pitch, multiple times, for a "Special Promotion." If you don't want to waste hours of your time getting a high pressure sale, politely and firmly say that you are not interested.…
I would give this 100 stars! We had the best service from our butlers Ivan and Oscar. We stayed in tom 5208. Hands down best resort in Mexico. Both of them went above and beyond! They made my daughters graduation present the best. We will be back.
We booked El Dorado a year in advance, with advice from an RCI guide. Little did we know how much we were going to enjoy our stay. Upon arrival we were upgraded to an individual casitas, had reservations for dinner already made for 3 nights and luggage delivered to our place. The grounds were immaculate, the service impeccable and the food luxurious. We will return I am sure.
We have been going to this resort as members for over 10 years and we love it every time. The resort is small, surrounded by nature, but most importantly the staff is second to none. The food and drinks are great. All your needs are met and they go above and beyond for their guest. Some of the most exceptional people we met in our recent trip was Antonio Garcia, general manager, he knows what real customer service is. Fernanda, one of the many amazing yoga instructors was one of the best yoga instructors I've met, but then again, they were all great (we had a different one every day), Alfredo, the chef at Santa Fe, not only is a great chef, he came to our table to talk to us and make sure we liked the food. Every single waiter and waitress in the resort is wonderful. Last but not least, Norma, waitress at pool 31 during lunch and at La Isla during breakfast is so caring, professional, and great, we go there for lunch just to see her. We always feel like we are at home. Bravo El Dorado, we can't wait to go back.…
The Eldorado Casitas Royale is the most wonderful resort that we travel to for relaxation, restoration and renewal. The staff is absolutely amazing and we have been so blessed to have Hugo as our butler on the last two trips. Hugo is attentive, resourceful and always thinks about making our trip more fabulous than we even imagined. Thank you Hugo for always going the extra mile for us! You ROCK Hugo!
Very happy having returned after 3yrs visiting for 5 th time & didn’t disappoint. The resort looked better than ever obvious a lot of work been done in quite times. Our butler Hugo was fantastic & left no stone unturned. All restaurants bars & service were excellent as usual. A special mention to Miss Vicki in 32 for lovely lunches & Esther & Roberto in The Palms who made breakfast & lunch very pleasant each time there. Our consierge Marie Luis was super & helped to make our stay perfect sorting any requests so smoothly. See you all next year.
We booked our honeymoon a year and a half in advance. Upon checking in, on our honeymoon, the concierge was rude and told us that we wouldn't be able to get into our honeymoon sweet until 3 days and for that, he was going to give us a $500 credit. I asked him why he gave our room away he replied, "We have our reasons" and said you are only eligible for $400 credit. My wife and I were pissed. It seems that we weren't the only ones. Every other couple we spoke to, the resort did the same thing to them. We had to fight for everything. Management was rude and obnoxious. Even though the staff was very nice, the management ruined our entire trip. This is not a five-star resort.
We arrived in the middle of July and we booked a casita swim up. Upon arrival we immediately checked in and because we arrived at 9:00 a.m. our room is not ready but we did have a change of clothes for our bathing suits. We went to breakfast got our suits on and then proceeded to section 32 where our room is going to be located and went to the pool. Our room was ready early but 1:00 p.m. instead of 3:00 p.m. and that was fabulous the room is clean no issues. We had two butlers Alexis and Melissa and they both took fabulous care of us while we were there for a week. Since we have been to this resort before our past butlers Adriana, Karen, and Gabby all have checked in on us to make sure that we didn't need anything and that we were happy with our stay. Also Frank I think he is now in section 29 of the Casitas has always been around we've checked in the past and once again even Frank checked in on us to make sure that we didn't need anything and it was wonderful seeing him at the members dinner that evening. This is why we love returning to this resort because it's like family. It was also wonderful to see Mauricio again as well. When he saw us he made sure to ask how my mother was since your members my mother from past visits. This means a lot to our family. Our entire Stay we had no issues. We had reservations for the restaurants they were all honored no issues there as well all the waiters that we had were top notch. Our stay always begins when we arrive and we are greeted by the Bell boys as soon as we arrive. They start on trip off on a good note they all should be recognized since they are the face that we see first when we arrive. The entire staff at the front makes our trip start off on a good note so thank you. Are bartender for our week Luis was excellent lucky for us his day off we actually spent the day fishing. A big shout out to lomas as well for hooking us up again for our deep sea fishing trip. We have already booked our trip to return in 2023. This is one of our favorite resorts because of the staff most of all.…
