Quiet location. Last house on the road up the mountain. Simple but stylish and comfortable rooms. Staff is very friendly. The restaurant prepares good food and the beer list was surprisingly attractive with both local and international options. We were there during the bamboo harvest period, which was fascinating to watch. Bet that the wetter season is spectacular as there are clearly waterfalls and streams throughout the mountains.
The managers, staff, owner are delightful. They go out of their way to make you feel like family and by the way, the food is excellent too...calm soothing and wonderful...Maybe we should keep this secret to ourselves???
After 7 years in China probably the best hotel/resort experience I've had so far. The manager, Ms. Yan was awesome from the start, sending a message soon after my initial booking, meeting me upon and arrival, advising me on hiking, and making sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. And Ms Yang the Chef was excellent. She really takes pride in her food and cooks both Western and Chinese very well. Highly recommended, especially because of the staff and location in beautiful Moganshan National Park. I'll be back for sure!
My wife and I and two friends spent three nights at the Moganshan Solvang Village boutique hotel in May 2019 and can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing break from their hectic daily lives in the city. Jan and her team were wonderful. If you want a super quiet place where you can relax and go walking in the tranquility of the bamboo forests, this is the place for you.
I would like to thank the incredible team of Solvang Village for a very special experience we had during our stay. The location is simply great and gives an opportunity truly dive into the nature. Still Solvang Village offers a full range of facilities and a great level of comfort: starting from well equipped spacious bathrooms with all the amenities and ending to a various collection of western and local beverages. The cuisine is also great, there is an option to choose between Western-style and Chinese food, but I definitely recommend to try some of the Chinese specialities (beef with bell pepper was far beyond any expectations), though I can hardly be classified as a fan of exotic food. For those who prefer active leisure time there is a possibility to go for hiking or cycling, the hotel stuff is always eager to provide all necessary tips and details in respect of the routes chosen by guests. But the most stunning thing about the place is a home-alike atmosphere as well as an exceptional hospitality and care by the team offered to the guests: neither a detail is missed by them, nor a single request is left unattended. I would like to express special thanks to Yan who is a very rare example of a great devotion to all the guests and place itself. Wish that she and her colleagues will find as much happiness and satisfaction in their job as they grant to their guests!…
