What can I say about this hotel I had all-inclusive with this hotel food is very bad snack bar is in a different hotel and it’s even worse and they use the Worst ingredient I rate this hotel half a star and you pay for the Internet and The Internet don't even work I wouldn't recommend anyone to come to this hotel. Good luck
Travelled with my disabled husband to stay here, the staff were very helpful and friendly could nt fault any of them , from reception to the cleaners lovely people. A few improvements made since the last time I stayed before the pandemic and all for the better. We will be back to stay again.
Disaster, horrible, avoid this hotel. At the reception it sends you if you want packaged air 3 euros / day, you want internet 5 euros, swimming pool 3 euros / day / person /, safe 5 euros. If it could, it would also charge a fee for the air we breathe. AVOIDANCE !!!
We have just completed our holiday at this 4-star Hotel, which cannot be called a Hotel, and which does not deserve even a star. I don't even know where to start. I begin by saying the shortcomings I had in the room: I didn't have a hairdryer in the room. I didn't have any glasses in the room. The shower head was made of a yellowed plastic and similar to an extension of a garden hose. The bathroom had no ventilation or ventilation system. The furniture in the room, it was probably from the 70's, just like the TV whose screen was tiny and had only 7 programs, which also had sound or video malfunctions. We had a mini-fridge locked in the closet (you received a key to be able to benefit from it, in exchange for 2 euros/day), which overheated and was hot because it did not have ventilation as it was positioned in the closet. The safe was also for 3 euros per day. The air conditioning was probably spoiled because it was airing regardless of the temperature you were programming from the remote control. As customers staying in the hotel we could not benefit from the sunbeds at the hotel pool, only in exchange for 3 euros per day, and those at the hotel's private beach, teh sunbeds was in exchange for 6 euros per day. In terms of food, I can say that they had no diversity at all. I didn't expect to see anything like this at a 4-star hotel. In a region where olive trees are everywhere, both for breakfast and for dinner we had the same type and the unique olive. All the food was tasteless, except for the french fries. The dessert tasted like margarine, it was not sweet and it was queasy. The fruit bowl was poor, they had apples, pears in which you broke your teeth and a few oranges. Just that at a 4-star hotel? It is unacceptable. In the drinks category, I did not see water for 7 days. Am I asking too much? They had about 6 types of tasteless juices, whether you were putting on oranges or pineapples, it was the same thing just the color was different. The coffee machine offered you 2 types of coffee and hot water. Where is cappuccino or hot chocolate? The Hotel staff was bored and made you not feel welcome. As for the cleanliness, I saw only one woman cleaning 100 rooms. We stayed on the 2nd floor, arrived with cleanliness to our room only at 7 in the evening. There were 2 types of rooms, overlooking the sea or overlooking the garden. Which garden? There was only a parking lot and somewhere in the distance a palm tree. The neighbors had a mini-garden full of weeds. Maybe that? The only thing pro about this hotel was that it was close to the beach. But for this it is not worthwhile to bear the other shortcomings. I wouldn't come back here even if it were free. I was very, very disappointed. :(…
Just come back from Zakyntos - Astir Palace hotel / Greece with great memories form our vacation .It's a really nice place located on Laganas gulf ,on fine sand beach with amazing water which have a long entrance fine sand bottom. In addition to the special area came the location of Astir Palace but especially the manager of this complex who managed through his attitude and professionalism to make us a dream vacation. We would like to thank Mr. Sakis Zougras and his team for the way in which he managed to turn the inevitable small problems into benefits for us. Congratulations for the cleanliness and kindness of your staff. With great pleasure we want to return to this hotel as soon as we can .
Terrible place… the rooms are furnished from 80s , in the bathroom there is half of plastic sheet in the bathtub ..which looked dirty and worn out, could not get into the bathtub without slippers. Being a 4stars hotel you have to pay if you use AC, fridge or safe box. I had a garden view room, however garden view is actually the neighbor’s building wall..or the parking lot. Also I had to pay separately for using the pool sunbeds and again to use the beach sunbeds . .absolutely ridiculous. I asked 3 times to have a pair Of glasses in the room…they finally brought them after insistent queries at the reception. Reception staff barely speaks English so you need lot of patience to explain what you want. Food was always the same for 10 days. I would never go back at this hotel !! Avoid if You can !!…
We booked 2 garden view rooms months ago but on arrival we was given our rooms one on the ground floor with a small window overlooking the car park and one on the 2nd floor which we have since been told is staff accommodation it had a small frosted window that only opened a small amount at the top the room was dark and dingy and so hot and stuffy and was right opposite a late night bar we went straight back to reception to complain and was told by the manager that they were fully booked so we couldn't move for 2 days but we could have free air con for our stay the air con unit was filthy and has probably never had the filters changed so I didnt turn it on, he also offered us €40 compensation between the 4 of us having paid £3600 for the 2 rms. There is no kettle tea/coffee making facilities and we wasn't all inclusive (thankfully) so we had to go and buy a kettle mugs and a spoon from the local supermarket there is also no hairdryer. On the day of our move we were given 2 rooms together on 2nd floor overlooking the back of one of the local shops where we got treated daily by a man standing in his shorts taking a shower outside but before we was allowed to swap rooms the manager gave us a piece of paper to sign to say we wouldn't pursue any further compensation we refused to sign it and he said if we didnt sign it we couldn't move rooms we said that this is blackmail but he stuck to his guns and we had to sign it or stay in the hell hole. The one good thing was the cleaners we had clean bedding and towels every day. You have to pay for everything fridge wifi safe aircon €3 for sunbeds by the pool €6 for sunbeds on the beach, we chose the beach the sea is lovely and shallow for a long way out so nice and safe if you have kids with you the only down side is that you get bombarded by fruit sellers massage ladies and looky looky men selling the usual fake tat - there are lots of supermarkets restaurants bars etc. Close by and it's no to far away from the main strip.…
The room was suppose to have a garden view but its really a 'Parking lot view'. after entering into the rom we found that the air-condition doesn't work along with the WIFI, the refrigerator and the safe. We went back to the reception and there we were kindly told that we have to pay for all data per daily use. and that is really the definition of CHEAP TRICK! other that that :) it's a reasonably 1 to 2 star hotel with good location and 2 star expected service Almost forgot ... the TV survived from the mid 70th
We have just returned back this morning. We were a group of 4 and we had originally booked all inclusive at their sister hotel Astir beach(3star). Due to Hotel overbooking, we were sent to a lovely 5 star hotel for 3 days and after that we all ended up at the Astir Palace as an upgrade (4star) for the inconvenience. The Manager and the Receptionist were really friendly and apologetic and we were told that we did not have to pay for any extras. At this point I felt bewildered that there were any extras to pay as we had booked all inclusive. We got free WiFi for the week which would have cost 15 Euros, the use of the fridge which is locked normally if you do not chose to have it, a safe and air conditioning. We were also handed a remote for the tv in the room. The room was very clean, very dated and basic. No hairdryer, no tea or coffee facilities. The restaurant was manic at most times. One coffee/tea machine for everyone. We were always queuing. The staff in the restaurant looked as if they did not want to be there. I had to ask for a teaspoon every morning and I felt I was bothering. We did not enjoy the food at all. It was very substandard and therefore we ate out every night at local tavernas, which we had not expected to be paying out for. If you wanted a drink, you had to go next door to the sister hotel pool bar to get your all inclusive drinks. These were not self service, more queuing, the staff poured your drinks in little plastic cups. The beer and spirits were not very nice. The coffee was often luke warm. This pool bar did provide an all inclusive service, which consisted of a cheese and ham roll and a ready made salad. Children up to the age of 12 were allowed ice cream but the adults had to pay. The whole entertainment was located around this pool bar. The staff behind the pool bar were friendly. If you wanted a sun bed by the pool. You were charged 3 Euros per day, even though you were all inclusive. 2 sun beds and umbrella on the beach cost 6 Euros per day. The beach and the sea was lovely and that made our holiday. Overall the hotel was very clean. This hotel should not have 4 stars, nor should it portrait being all inclusive. It is is very far from it. The only thing that is all inclusive is your food, which i felt was not Greek at all and your drinks. So be prepared to bring out plenty more Euros, as none of these extras are mentioned when booking with this hotel. Also the pictures do the hotel more justice then reality. We would not go back to this hotel.…
From the 4-star hotel, we definitely did not expect to be extra charged for Wifi or a refrigerator in the room. In addition, except for July and August, the hotel charges even for the air conditioning. All-inclusive services (except breakfast, lunch and dinner) could only be used in the premises of the neighboring 3-star sister hotel, which is not exactly in line with the comfort that a person would expect from a 4-star all-inclusive program. The choice of food was quite poor, we often found rotten fruit, the food was not continuously replenished and those who came later had many times simply bad luck in terms of food choice and quantity. Food recycling was quite common practice, e.g. vegetables not consumed during breakfast were then used for the salad for lunch or as a decoration for dinner. The fact that we found labels of prepared meals posted only once during the whole stay is just another small detail. In the dining room on the table for 4 or more people there were always prepared only two cutlery, if we needed more we literally had to steal it from the next table. When we went on a whole day trip, we were told at the reception we were not entitled to any food packages, just for an early breakfast consisting of a few slices of toast and a few slices of cheese and ham, no fruits, no vegetables, nothing else and for those who came later there were even no toasts left anymore. The hotel staff definitely has a lot to learn - poor hygiene when setting the table, no greeting, rare smiling at guests, lack of interest in guests needs, waiter at the beach bar shouting at guests, so that everyone takes only one drink at a time (here I would like to highlight that drinks were served in 1.5 dcl glasses and the fact we always had to go for a drink to the next hotel). The furniture and overall equipment is quite old and makes you feel like if you were going back in time, needs some serious re-work. The only plus of this hotel is the beach location. There is no doubt that the island is beautiful, the sea clean and warm, but for our next stay we would definitely choose a different accommodation.…
