Margarita hotel is an All Inclusive, family-friendly hotel in the resort town of Laganas, on the south east coast of the Greek island of Zante. Laganas beach is a short walk from the hotel and here you'll find long stretches of sand with views over the island's mountainous landscape. The hotel has a traditional Mediterranean design, with whitewashed walls, red roof tiling and pops of colour in the architecture. It's surrounded by palm trees and other greenery. The hotel has an outdoor pool area where you can swim or relax with a drink from the nearby pool bar. If you like to be active on holiday, you can join an aqua aerobics session in the pool. When it's time to eat, the buffet restaurant offers a selection of local and international cuisine. There are two bars that serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks, as well as light snacks during the day. Entertainment is regularly organised by the hotel and includes games, quizzes and karaoke nights. The centre of Laganas is within walking distance of Margarita and is home to restaurants, bars and shops that you can explore. There's a number of popular trails across the island where you can take in the views over Zante's natural scenery. You can also go on a short drive to the island's capital, Zakynthos Town, where you can experience a range of museums, cafés and tavernas as well as a bustling nightlife scene.

It was excellent, rooms clean and comfy. All-inclusive menu was pretty nice and tasty but all that makes that review 5 stars, is staff especially swimming pool bartender Visi and Polish-Greek waitress, rest of the crew was also very good and helpful people, who will help you to solve all your problems and wishes. That makes me wanna come back to that place again. With best regards, Andrew , Claudia, Olgierd

What an amazing find. After reading other reviews I had concerns but upon arrival these immediately became insignificant. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, taking pride in all they do with fantastic English. The service is exceptional. As a frequent traveller abroad I know to not expect typical English style food and that all inclusive is normally buffet style of the local delicacies. Every meal we had was extremely high quality with a vast choice everyday. All freshly cooked. The salad bar and all hot food was always replenished promptly. My only personal preference for the food would be to have freshly cooked omelettes and chopped fruit offered at breakfast. The pool bar food was as just a high standard and both the chef and the waiter were so friendly, polite and helpful. He kept the pool area spotless and was constantly walking around clearing up peoples empties. The room had great aircon and black out shutters over the patio doors. Comfortable beds and pillows. Surprisingly a fridge was provided which you don’t normally have with 3 star all inclusive accommodation. A litre bottle of water at the local shop was just 50c. The shower was always hot and had great water pressure. The local supermarket had a great choice and reasonably priced. The pool area was meticulously cleaned and the pool was a very comfortable temperature. You have 2 pools one at the front of the hotel which is adults only and then at the rear with the pool bar the family area. Rooms were cleaned and to a high standard. The hotel is close to the beach and local nightlife but far enough away to not experience noise. Security is great with the hotel not allowing non guests on site.

We were a group of 9 girls and ladies experiencing their first time in Zante, we booked this holiday last year. We read some of the reviews after booking and were slightly worried after reading some of them...we need not have been worried, in my opinion the Margarita hotel was absolutely lovely. A short coach journey from the airport and set slightly back from the main Laganas strip, it was a 5-10 minute stroll to get to all the bars and restaurants of Laganas. The hotel itself was charming. Staff all very efficient; we particularly loved the pool bar team (Visar and Sylvia?) who were always very friendly, chatty and happy. The hotel was immaculate; we were up early every morning and the pool was always being cleaned and all the patio and furniture jet washed. We used the pool at the back of the hotel, the front pool was adult only but we didn't use it. The grass, flowers and gardens were well kept. Rooms and communal areas were very clean. We were in a triple room with great air con and the large shower took a while to warm up but was then red hot and with really good power to it. Wifi good throughout the hotel. We didn't really see the entertainment as after dinner and a few drinks, we went out towards the resort centre. I've stayed in plenty of three star hotels throughout the years and sometimes the food is hit and miss, but the food here was very good. Something different every day and always beautiful fresh salads and the most divine tzatziki, stuffed vine leaves and freshly cut tomatoes, just missing the pita or flat breads I thought! Lovely roasted potatoes, rice dishes, vegetable dishes and different meats each night - over the course of the week there was chicken drumsticks, pork escalopes, chilli, chicken wings, lamb, beef, fish in sauce, rabbit and octopus - and not a chip or chicken nugget in sight! Puddings were small portions but adequate - jelly, mousse, rice pudding, cakes, ice-cream. Breakfast with the usual bits and bobs - lush greek yoghurt, honey, fresh breads, pancakes and french toast on a couple of the days along with all the usual bacon, eggs etc. For those reviewers who moaned about the sausages and bacon not being what they would expect in England, this isn't England so of course they're different! The pool bar outside did lovely burgers, hotdogs, chips, filled rolls and ice-creams all day - we never, ever went hungry. Bar staff were efficient and not ever much of a queue at the small inside bar and yes, its local spirits and local soft drink mixers but they were fine and what I expected, so no surprise (although I have found a new appreciation for margarita cocktails!) It might have been good to have more than one room key for three friends sharing a room and although we tried several times to obtain another one, the second key card never worked. I always judge a hotel on whether I would return again and I would definitely return to Margarita hotel. Laganas itself was probably better for younger people than someone my age (45) but I would use the Margarita as a base and explore from there.

After my stay I really disagree with some of the reviews on here regarding the staff at the hotel. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. I will say however that upon returning to the hotel at night we were asked to whisper. (The hotel is pretty much on the strip so I’m not sure what they are expecting in terms of noise). In my opinion the food is very average and not much choice or variation for vegetarians/vegans. As an All inclusive hotel it would be nice to see different foods on offer rather than the same or similar things each day. Also there was no hummus??? Gutted. The bar is more of a desk than a bar and drinks are poured from pop bottles. The food from the snack bar is really nice and comes out really quickly. There’s no kettle or tea and coffee in the rooms and the balconies lack privacy. With that being said, the rooms are always really clean and the cleaning staff are lovely. All in all it was a good experience for the money we paid, just for me it lacks the little extras.

5 out of 5 easy! This place is a wonderful hotel, Margarita and her family couldn’t do more for you! We have been going for 10 years now and it never fails to disappoint. The rooms are lovely with very comfy beds, the food is beautiful so much freshly grown salad and veg. The adult pool is perfect and quiet as the kids/ family pool round the back of the hotel. We have booked for next year already! We have made many wonderful friends including the staff. It’s a real home from home.

Awful hotel, staff are some off the rudest people I have ever met. They have 0 respect and treat guests like dogs. Food is awful, drinks are watered down and decor is tacky and cheap. Mrs margarita is a horrible person and I had threats off violence from her husband

Here at present, appreciate its nearing the end of season but just about coping with hotel. No entertainment/family friendly atmosphere at all. Pool table broken, dart board is falling to bits so lacking things to do around the pool. Football area and table tennis is about it! Never stayed anywhere that doesn't give out bottled water but as stated there's loads all over the hotel to look at, but you can pay for it at their shop. Food is just bearable but children are struggling. Disappointed...... but we have the sunshine at least.

Great hotel away from any noise but close to all amenities lovely friendly staff and great food. Family run and very clean. Adult only pool is a bonus. The room was spotlessly clean and so was the pool area. We loved the proximity to shops, bars and restaurants. Snack bar for burgers chips etc was brilliant too
