It’s no surprise that the hotel is at the top of a pretty steep hill. Can be a bit hard going in the heat. Also lots of steps to the apartments so not good for the less mobile. The views though are absolutely beautiful and worth the hill.
Kamari itself is a fantastic areas, loads of lovely bars and restaurants. Good transport to other areas you may wish to visit. My only disappointment was that they keep the bar open till the early hours if people wish to drink. This can get very noisy making sleep difficult as the acoustics from the mountain causes all noise to be heard from the bar area. They really need to stop serving at midnight for the comfort of other guests who are trying to sleep. This aside we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely return.
All of the staff are helpful and cheerful.
Our room was spacious, a duplex apartment.
Cleaning was daily with towels changed every day and regular bedding changes.
The snacks sold at the pool bar were excellent quality and value.
When we arrived it was late so were given complimentary water and fruit juice for the next morning.
Air Con is free, in fact our unit broke down and a new one was installed the same day!
The hill and location could be difficult for anyone not completely fit. I am speaking as someone who needs a stick some of the time.
Overall a highly recommended accommodation and the management of the establishment should be rightly proud of the service offered.

The pool area was great, with ample sun loungers, for those who wanted to be there, and Tassos and Eddie were great hosts, at the bar - so warm and friendly, serving us Mythos in cold glasses and the most amazing cocktails - I recommend the Aegean View and Pina Colada. We’re not really ones for being at the pool, much, but when we did, we enjoyed it, and there were lovely seating areas to have a drink, in the evening, looking out, over Kamari.
Breakfast was ideal - fresh yoghurt, fruit, cheese, bread, etc.
We really loved it - we’re even missing the walk up the hill, from the town, and the stairs to the room.
Thanks to George, Tassos, Eddie and the team at the hotel, for such a brilliant holiday 🇬🇷🩵

The family and staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you . Breakfast was great every thing you would want to set you up for the day . Would I go back and stay there again , Yes I would without a doubt.

The location of the hotel requires a walk down the hll to get to any restaurants or supermarkets but the view is amazing.
Our room overlooked the pool and was basic. There were 2 adults and 2 teenagers staying in one room. The air conditioning worked but was not brilliant and it was rusted outside. The fridge took a good 12 hours to start to cool the drinks. There were also ants in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Cleaners came in once a day and did an excellent job.
The pool area was ok but there was not enough sunbeds for all guests as it was very busy when we were there. Towels were being left on sunbeds the night before to secure them. The pool was lovely and balls were left for residents to play with.
The pool bar was open for long hours and the food is excellent and well priced. However, the drinks were over priced meaning each evening it was empty!
Breakfast was available but we didn't use it.
We do not normally travel to Greece to compare against other places.
George met us at the steps of the hotel & made us very welcome, he is the oracle of what to do in Santorini.
The studios are an exceptional size, each one has its own uniqueness. Complimentary toiletries were provided & clean towels changed & maid service every day. We had a “hot tub” as a bonus in our studio 😀 Buffet breakfast has a good choice, there was no facilities to make toast but the staff were happy to oblige my toast request.
It is a 10 minute stroll or less to the beach & tavernas. An average meal for 2 costs about €50. All staff in bars & restaurants wear masks.
We used the public transport, the buses are clean & air conditioned. Masks are recommended when travelling.
Places of interest:
Perissa : similar to Kamari, a lovely beach resort. Please note all beaches consist of volcanic sands.
Fira: for a beautiful sunset, the scenery was spectacular, classic white & blue buildings, cobbled streets & bars to sit & watch the world go by.
A lovely Greek experience for us, however we met a couple who have been visiting this hotel for the last 20 years.
Like it says in the title “one for the bucket list”👍

The room we stayed in was palatial, indeed it was technically a one bedroomed apartment, and it really made us feel welcome by giving us a bottle of wine and flowers for our Honeymoon.
The pool, breakfast and bar area are welcoming and it helps that you have a direct view of the nearby sea. A special mention to 'George' who could not do enough to help us. He is a credit to not just himself but also the island of Santorini.
I highly recommend this delightful place.
