Detailed Reviews
It's a complex of Greek style apartments with an interior garden very close to the beach(1 minute walking). Only very few apartments have seaview so the others( most of them) face the interior garden and maybe the street. The exterior was nice and clean enough and the garden was beautiful and full of birds. Surprisingly, it was quiet enough, but it was the beginning of the season. I had an apartment with two rooms. A spacious bedroom with a large bed and a day room with a kitchenette included but also with a sofa and an additional small bed. In the bedroom it was an AC unit which worked very well and in the day room we had a very good refrigerator as well as a coffee filter, kettle and a small electrical cooking stove. The interior design is pretty basic, old but good furniture, no flamboyant decorations. It makes you feel like you are in a traditional Greek apartment. I also had a terrace but in my case it was narrow, barely fitting the table with 2 chairs. The bathroom was too small with a shower having only one glass wall. Therefore the floor of the bathroom was permanently wet. There was also a disturbing smell coming probably from the drain.
The daily cleaning was very good, towels and sheets changed as well.
The young guy from the reception desk was amazing: informed, polite, willing to solve any problem with a smile on his face.

Dolphins is located beachfront in Kamari, a great location to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere Santorini has to offer. We stayed in a studio with kitchenette, ensuite and the most fantastic balcony. The complex is a cosy little layout with a bar and restaurant on the beachside tourist strip. Our room was very clean and tidy with all facilities provided. The restaurant is great and the staff are always friendly and happy to help.
We have the fondest memories of our stay at Dolphins, it truly made our visit memorable. We would certainly stay here again and definately would recommend Dolphins to other travellers.

This was my first trip to a Greek Island, though I have been to Athens. I was paying for both me and my daughter who is a student in the UK, so I did not want to pay a lot for lodging. My young friend is very good at getting travel bargains, so she made the arrangements for us. When we first arrived it was pretty hot, so the first thing I did was turn on the air conditioner. It worked quite well, though it is only in one bedroom. We had a bedroom and a sitting room with a bed as there were three of us. The power goes off when the key is taken from the door, but we had two keys, so we could leave the air on some while we were out though I tried not to be wasteful. As others have said, we had large enough fridge, but just the one large hob hotplate. It worked fine for us though, because we had bread, cheese, cereal, and tea for breakfast, and ate most of the other meals out. We did ask for a teak kettle, and one was provided. It was sort of ancient, but it worked. It was not an electric tea kettle, so it took a little while to boil, so we planned for that. There are plenty of reasonable restaurants right along the sea just a stone's throw from our apartment, and we often had left overs which they packed in aluminum containers, so it was easy to heat these up on the hot plate. There was no microwave and we never even tried to turn on the TV, but we had free wi fi, which was more important to me. We enjoyed our porch (first floor), and ate breakfast there, as well as late night drinks. We also had a back porch, but it faced the street which was fairly busy, so we preferred the more private one. We had asked for a sea view, and did not get it, but in the end, we were happy with what we had. You can see the sea from upstairs, and the apartment is very close to the sea, and the bus, but there were a lot of low roofs in front, so we decided we preferred the shadier garden side. I do think I might have preferred to be upstairs, just so I could keep the french doors, which only open into one's room, open at night. I must say that whenever we asked for anything (we also asked for extra pillows), it was given to us. One thing I was not aware of until my friend who had traveled to the Greek Islands before told me, is that NO PAPER IS TO GO INTO THE TOILET, or it will stop the system up. I mean NO PAPER. I saw these signs in the airport, and in all the pricier restaurants, though there were no such signs in the Dolphin. Luckily my friend knew that and this fact was confirmed by the owner when asked. Apparently their sewage system cannot handle even toilet paper, and that is to be thrown in the trash. Our apartment was cleaned everyday, though, and the trash emptied so that was no problem, even though the idea of it was a little repulsive at first. That was not something just at the Dolphin though, but all over the island. Everywhere has cisterns on the roof to collect rain water, and that is what comes out of the taps. Everywhere I have traveled before in the world, I have used the tap water with no problem, but in Santorini, after reading about the cistern, I used bottled water for drinking, making tea, etc. It was cheap enough to purchase at the store across the road. We rode the bus to Oia and Fira each evening. I did not go to the Volcano, but I do regret that, though it was so hot the first few days we were there, I did not want to walk around in the sun, so chose the peace and beauty of lounging on the beach in the nice sun loungers provided with umbrellas. I thought there was to be a charge for them, but no one charged us. We would always get something, if just a drink, from the restaurants that provided the loungers. All in all, it was a nice trip, and I would chose to stay at Dolphin Apartments again. I'm sure many of the upscale hotels of kamari, Oia, and Fira might have more amenities, but they also would have been much more expensive, and the Dolphin is in a great location. Also, there are no toiletries or hairdryer, so bring your own.

Really friendly staff, good value for money and the food was really tasty and well presented. Drinks can be ordered from your sunbed and all the staff are helpful, and speak good English. A friend and I had lunch there on 3 occasions and on our last visit, a free plate of melons and grapes was presented as a thank you for our custom....a nice touch. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed here mid-May 2013 and found it fantastic. We had booked direct with the apartments, and had requested specific apartments (having been here before), but when we got here, the lady upgraded us to huge 1 bedroomed apartment. There were 4 of us and we had 2 apartments next door to each other. The lady was very happy to let us move balcony furniture between apartments, and was always extremely friendly whenever we saw her. The apartments are basic, as are all apartments in Greece, but perfectly well equipped to make a breakfast and cups of tea/coffee. We were allowed to keep one apartment on past midday on our last day free of charge. The apartments are perfectly located in Kamari, with loads of bars, tavernas and restaurants nearby. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. We loved it here and would definitely return.

This summer we made a trip with the family in Greece visiting several islands. Our last island was beautiful Santorini. We stayed at a 5 persons family apartment in Kamari. Although the Dolphins apartments location was well situated close to the beach, the apartment was unfortunately not equipped to host our family. It was a large apartment but only the 2 persons bedroom had aircondoniting and the bathroom was very basic. Furthermore you could hear very well all activities/conversations of the neighbours The staff was nevertheless friendly and coöperative. They arranged the ability to use the swimmingpool of the apartmenthotel next door. We would recommend the owners to upgrade (at least) their family apartment.

This apartment was very basic, however it was huge and offered everything we needed. Excellent location right opposite Kamari beach and walking distance to an abundance of restaurants. Our balcony had ocean views and sun lounges providing a really nice area to relax. The apartment was not particularly comfortable, and had not been thoroughly cleaned as I found items left behind by previous travelers (eg. tobacco in the bedside drawer). We were not given any information on arrival just shown straight to our door and left to figure the rest out on our own. There was decent fridge and kitchen to cook meals which would be nice for families with children.
Overall we found this hotel to be very basic, but good value. Do not expect too much, but definitely stay here if you are looking for a cheap option right on Kamari beach.

The apartments are wonderfully located close to the beach. Even though we had requested adjoining rooms when booking, this had not been arranged at our arrival. We had to make the request again. Rooms were not cleaned one of the days. The beds were extremely hard. Beds in living room.

On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful . The apartment was clean and spacious and It was lovely to have our own balcony to sit out on as well . The kitchen was enough to cook a small meal on ( we made breakfast every morning ) . The bathroom was clean the only issue we found was the shower curtain was quite annoying and would stick to us and make it quite uncomfortable to shower ! The apartments are located right opposite Kamari beach - and super close to plenty of restaurants and little shops :) lovely and comfortable stay .

Location is excellent and accomodations were just perfect. The thing that really distinguished Dolphins was how absolutely helpful the staff were in getting us through those little crises that happen to us all while on vacation. They were obviously focussed on ensuring that we had a wonderful time and we did. Our kids didn't want to leave.
