We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, rooms are very nice and very clean. I especially like that it was not right on the beach, but close enough to get to in a short walk. Pool area was very nice, and staff is very friendly. I thought that this hotel is very good value, the only complaint i might have is the beds were a little hard, other than that perfect place to stay!!

I stayed here in June with my mom as we were on holiday for a friends wedding. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the grounds make it a lovely location. Although set back from the beach, we were advised by the lovely girls on reception that it was only a 6 minute walk to the Kamari beach by all the restaurants and bars and it was! Our room (133) was spotlessly clean and beds were very comfy. The shower was amazing. The room is very spacious. The hotel serves meals by the bar such as burgers, chicken nuggets and chips and sandwiches and we ate here a few lunchtimes and the food was very good and reasonably prices, as were the drinks. Breakfast is basic but all you need in 30degree heat and the pool was lovely with plenty of sun beds and the waiter/barman at the pool was very good in remembering our room number and names when we were putting items on a tab. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family visiting the area. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable!

hotel was just how it is described. Very clean, staff very helpful, tranquil, rooms attended to daily. Good choice for breakfast. A few minutes walk to the beach and amenities. Only downfall is there are not enough sunshades around the pool area, and in some rooms there is no faciltiy to make hot drinks.

We came to Santorini for a family wedding and with us having a 3 year old son we wanted to stay in a hotel with a decent sized pool and near to the beach and this hotel ticked the boxes. We actually spent everyday at the pool(except the wedding day) after seeing the beach we just didn’t fancy it and our son was happy enough at the pool. It opens at 10 and then the pool bar at 11. It is fairly clean and a perfect sun trap if you enjoy sun bathing like myself! I can understand a lot of people complaining about toilets near the pool but being in room 165 we were literally a stones throw away from the pool so can’t complain. The pool bar is pretty expensive and you can’t bring your own food or drink in. Our room was pretty dated and quite dark but it was changed and cleaned everyday. We had a fridge and hairdryer no tea or coffee facilities. Breakfast was continental and not a lot of choice but what was provided was nice. The main reception and gardens are lovely and all the staff were really helpful. It is a 10 min walk to kamari beach where theres plenty of bars and restaurants and shops. We tended to get the bus to Thera to meet the rest of the wedding party it cost 3 euro and a lot cheaper than taxis. Our fight home wasn’t until 9pm and our pick up was 19:30 we had to check out at 12:00 and to keep our room on it would be 60 Euro we decided against this but there is sinks and toilets in the main reception were we got cleaned as best we could before going home. All in all Santorini is a beautiful island and I’m glad we picked this hotel with us being with our son who loved it . We would stay here again.

The hotel is small and pretty, typically Greek in style. No tea or coffee facilities in room although there’s a small fridge. No water in the room even though we arrived in the early hours and the tap water is unsafe to drink. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh bedding and towels provided - the cleaning staff do a good job. The pool doesn’t open until 10am the bar for some reason then opens at 11am but coffee machines not ready for about 20 mins! It’s expensive around.€4 for a small coffee or coke €7 for a spirit and mixer. Incessant dance music on a loop around the pool this doesn’t fit with the guests or style of hotel . There’s no toilets around pool and lots of people seem to stay there all day without going to use their room facilities- draw your own conclusions 🤔 No restaurant and only a limited snack menu during day much more limited at night (basically sandwiches). Breakfast is ok usual toast pastries eggs yoghurt and fruit. One thing to watch out for is late check out charge we were told it was €50 but it was over €60 with tax added on.

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback for your recent stay with us. I am very sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied with our hotel and our service and sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you had to deal with. The water in Santorini is undrinkable but you can get bottled water from the bar or even from the front desk if you arrive late at night. The pool bar does open at 11.00am, but the lobby bar is open from 08.00am from where you can get coffee if you wish. About the late check out charges there seems to be a misunderstanding. The cost for a late check out for a double room in May was indeed 50€. The extra 10,50€ at your bill was the Stay Over tax, which has been introduced by the Government of Greece since the 01.01.2018 (Law 4389/2016). The overnight tax in our hotel is 1,50€ per room per night (3*hotel) and needs to be paid in cash upon check out at the front desk. According to law it cannot be prepaid by anyother (eg. the travel agency). We are looking forward to welcome you again in the future. Kind regards The staff and management of Hotel Rivari Santorini
