The sunflower is the real greece. The rooms are spotless. The family are the nicest people you will meet. Nothing is too much trouble. Our friends have been coming here for 10 years and we can see why. Gregory, Sideris and family are so welcoming. We will be back.

This is our second year at the sunflower hotel and it is fantastic. The care and attention we receive is fantastic. Rooms are beautifully decorated and we'll maintained. The pool is beautiful quiet and relaxing. It is a 5 minute walk to the beachfront in kamari from the hotel. Everyone is so genuinely friendly it gives you the beauty and charm we fell in love with when we first came to Greece years ago but with modern facilities. Thank you once again sunflower

Room Tip: The hill can be challenging but ok on the way back. Top floor for best sea views

The property is a few minutes from the beach, the restaurants, the bus stop to Fira as well as a few shops. Pool and outdoor area very nice. Room quite spacious with a little kitchenette and fridge. Very big terrace. Friendly staff. Transfer from and to the airport (charged separately). Our room was quite out of date and facing the main road which is very busy and noisy at any time of the day and of the night. Air conditioning quite noisy and our remote did not work so we could only turn it on and off jumping on a chair and using the main button. No temperature adjustment obviously. We ended up not sleeping for the entire week: if the window was open we would be awake because of the warm temperature and the noise, if the widow was closed we would freeze due to the temperature of the air conditioner. The pool bar is very basic: only a few drinks and no snacks at all. I’d like to add the it’s “Mr. Booking”‘s responsibility to make sure that the pictures accurately represent what the property offers. We knew our room did not look fancy however the pictures show renovated bathrooms which of course are not in all the rooms. There is no picture of the old bathroom. Ours is shown in the pics here below so you can imagine the struggle. Not even a curtain in the shower we ended up having a swimming pool in the bathroom! The property is CASH ONLY. This means that drinks and additional expenses can only be paid in cash as there is no card machine available. I hate giving a bad review about Greek hospitality because Greeks are the warmest and kindest people but this time it was pretty shocking!

This hotel is lovely and clean, with large rooms (we had a huge bedroom plus kitchen/dining/sitting room and a beautiful new bathroom) and a lovely pool area. George and Gregory were friendly and welcoming, and full of information about things to do in the local area. Value for money was exceptional, as the hotel is only 1-2 minutes walk to local bars and restaurants. It also has beautiful plants and spacious balconies. When we return to Santorini we will definitely be booking back in here!

Our ferry from Santorini to Milos was cancelled due to high wind and we found ourselves with no where to stay for the night. We were so happy to find Sunflower Hotel in Kamari! The staff was extremely nice, helpful and attentive. Saved us from sleeping at the port! The rooms are simple with newly renovated bathrooms. An easy walk to the beach where there are shops and restaurants. The pool area is perfect for lounging throughout the day. My favorite part of the hotel are the beautiful pomegranate trees. The walkways to the rooms are exactly what you picture Greece to be. Great value!

didn't stay around the hotel much.some of the staff were friendly and ok,i think the whole of santorini is a rip off to be honest.£3.00 for a coke and £3.00 for a bottle of water in a restaurant is taking the mick.in the supermarket you can buy six bottles of water for under 2 euros.every cafe or restaurant is trying to rinse tourists and hassle you as you walk past.never again.

The pool was ideal - just like the photos! The hotel is in a good spot, near to restaurants and 10 mins walk to the beach. The room was basic but clean and tidy and had everything we needed. I recommend it for a simple hotel with a nice pool.

Rooms could do with updating but extremely clean & limited cooking facilities but who cooks on hols. Location fab just a nice 5 minute stroll to all the cafes bars shops & of course sea front but no intrusive noise at night. No hen parties or stag groups.Easy access to the rest of the island by bus or taxi. Car hire reasonable which is what we did.Greek family owners who can't do enough for you. Didn't have any children in our party but this is definitely an adult island no real facilities to cater for children.
