Our stay here was amazing. We were welcomed by Maria who was a perfect host - smiling, welcoming, interested in what we would like to do while we were in Santorini, provided information about local shops, transport and good places to visit. We stayed in the deluxe one bedroom suite that was amazing. It was newly renovated, and the quality is outstanding. The suite was designed in a way that creates a welcoming, relaxing and local atmosphere, and even the bathroom is designed to suite the theme (we have not experienced a hotel bathroom as well thought out, with so much attention to detail, as this one). We came in the off season, while the restaurant was still being renovated so the way the hotel ensured we still got the breakfast we paid for was by serving us a daily platter on our terrace. The breakfast included a selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, bread, some form of cake with fruits, water, juice, coffee/tea. You could also request adjustments to your individual taste and the staff were happy to meet your needs. You may even get some fresh herbs from the restaurant staff! The location is amazing, there are many shops, restaurants, bars and bakeries close-by, with a bus stop that takes you to the centre, where you can take a further bus to anywhere in Santorini, within a 10 minute walk. The hotel is right on the beach (1 minute walk), and even though we came during off season, we were provided with mattresses for the beach. There is also a hiking trail close-by, with amazing views and cute cats, if you can get to the top. Once again, thank you to all the staff and Maria fot making this experience so enjoyable, memorable and exceptional. We plan to return in the near future.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location, right across from the beach. Clean, modern, bathrooms spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable with good quality linens. Reception staff, Maria, was very welcoming. All staff we encountered from breakfast staff to housekeeping were all all very friendly.
We chose this hotel for a short 5 day break to Santorini. We opted for the standard double room and this was perfect for what we needed. The hotel isn't large, around 35 rooms of differing types. Breakfast was served in the adjoining Prince restaurant, which also offer a 10% discount to guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast was very well presented and had all the options you would expect, plentiful and good quality.
Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Kamari.
Tip - if you're going on the beach take beach shoes to make getting in and out of the water a bit less painful on the feet.

No faults at all. We stayed last week in October. Hotel was spotless, room cleaned everyday. Sheets changed every other day and towels changed every day. We had the 1 bedroom with sea view and jacuzzi. We used the jacuzzi most nights and before breakfast. Sitting in the jacuzzi for sunrise was incredible. Weather for this time of year was amazing and even though everywhere was closing for the season it made for a very relaxing holiday. We had breakfast in the Prince restaurant in front of the hotel. Had everything you would want and more. They work extremely hard and are very friendly. We used the beds on the beach a couple of days, buy drinks and it pays for the beds. The beach/water is gorgeous. Getting in requires beach shoes but can be very entertaining to watch others! Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. No pool but so close to the beach. Maria on reception, well she’s just a gem. Will help and organise all your needs. Definitely recommend.

Spent a week at the Makris for a wedding on the island; I stayed alone, but several other members of the wedding party around the hotel, so was able to see a few different rooms.
They vary a fair bit in style and character, but all the ones that I saw were of a high standard.
The site is pristine, kept absolutely spotless by the staff. Room cleaned/towels changed daily.
The attached restaurant/bar (Prince) hosts you for breakfast, where the selection is varied and excellent, and only improved by the service and the sea views.
As hotel guests, we also received a 10% discount on food at Prince throughout the day/evening. But that notwithstanding, having visited a large number of bars and restaurants along the seafront; the quality of the food (and more importantly, drinks) are absolutely top tier. The sheer professionalism of the staff was standout to me.
Last - and by no means least - Eleni and Angelika could not have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. Welcomed us in and waved us off.
Recommended in the strongest terms without hesitation.

2md visit to Makris just as good as the First time warmly welcomed by Maria and shown to my room with an amazing Balcony with jacuzzis and sun beds.
Brilliant view of the beach, only negative is because you are directly on the beach may be noisy from some people as music starts at 11pm but was fine for me.
Room is immaculate with nespresso machine and fridge.
The breakfast is served in Prince restaurant and is directly underneath, good coffee and scrambled eggs.
You also get a discount here if you have dinner etc.
A great place to stay on arriving in Santorini.

This was my second visit to this hotel in Kamari. I shared a room with a friend who had never been to santorini and this is a beautiful spot on the island. I think this hotel is perfect, right on the beach with many shops and restaurants around. The hotel is right on the beach, clean, modern has lovely choice of breakfast foods and best of all, lovely people who run it! Prince restaurant, Makris Hotel and Votsalo Tours/rentals are all run by the same family I have been told. You will love this hotel, central and nothing bad to say about it! We used Vaggelis from Votsalo tours for our airport transfers, very helpful and nice man.

💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯First time to Santorini, and nothing but praise for the Makris Beach Hotel. From arrival to departure, nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff. Angelika (I think that’s how you spell her name) was very helpful, and again nothing was ever to much trouble. The hotel is right on the sea front in Kamari, we were lucky enough to have one of their 1 bedroom suites with large balcony with hot tub, and fantastic sea views. Would highly recommend this hotel, and if we ever return will book to stay here again. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

If you’re looking for a beachtown vibe place to stay look no further than the Makris beach hotel! We booked here unsure if we made the right choice as it’s not located in the main tourist filled towns of Oia or Fira. All our worries we’re washed away the second we arrived. We were greeted by Angelica who made our stay even more amazing with her 5 star hospitality. From booking taxis to offering restaurant recommendations, she was always happy to help us. The bus station is less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel and was very easy to take to travel to Fira and Oia. Overall, amazing stay and highlight of our trip!

The hotel is located within a short walkable distance from the Kamari beach where you can find a lot of shopping places and restaurants. Also a great place to view the sun rise in the mornings. The rooms are designed to give a Mediterranean look and feel. The rooms are very clean with complementary bar indulgence. The hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. Their beach facing restaurant is extremely beautiful, be it an early breakfast or a lazy evening hangouts, it’s a great place to be. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for the perfect break away in Santorini, seriously consider Makris Beach Hotel in Kamari. We sat in the jacuzzi for hours, watching the sunrise over Anafilaxia or just enjoying the lovely view of the Mediterranean sea, just across the road. So many reasons to come back again and again. Location, comfort, cleanliness and hospitality would get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Maria and team, you are fab!!! In the area you will be spoilt for choice of where to eat great souvlaki, gyros, fish, ice cream, baklava, and much more. The shops have beautiful souvenirs, clothes, hats and all things Greece/ beach you can dream of.

They have a ton of padded lounge chairs. I think it was 10 Euros for 2 chairs. I think it went up to 15 if you’re in the front row right next to the water. We did the 10 euros and it was great. They also have a server that comes around.
The beach is rocky and slippery in the water, but pretty amazing. I didn’t have an issue with music.
I know you didn’t ask, but the breakfast at their prince restaurant was fantastic!
There are more places to choose from in the Kamari area.
