Spent a week at the Makris for a wedding on the island; I stayed alone, but several other members of the wedding party around the hotel, so was able to see a few different rooms. They vary a fair bit in style and character, but all the ones that I saw were of a high standard. The site is pristine, kept absolutely spotless by the staff. Room cleaned/towels changed daily. The attached restaurant/bar (Prince) hosts you for breakfast, where the selection is varied and excellent, and only improved by the service and the sea views. As hotel guests, we also received a 10% discount on food at Prince throughout the day/evening. But that notwithstanding, having visited a large number of bars and restaurants along the seafront; the quality of the food (and more importantly, drinks) are absolutely top tier. The sheer professionalism of the staff was standout to me. Last - and by no means least - Eleni and Angelika could not have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. Welcomed us in and waved us off. Recommended in the strongest terms without hesitation.…
Stayed for one night transit on Santorini. Very happy with all hotel facilities. Good sized rooms, beautiful bathrooms and very nice bar and restaurant on the beachfront. Comfortable bed and aircon. Super helpful and happy staff welcomed us, giving tour and suggestions for things to do. Clean, fresh and well provided. Highly recommend.
Stayed at the Makris Hotel at Kamari Beach Santorini for 3 nights with my family of 5. The location is excellent. It is right across from the beach. The checkin was quick. ELENI and ANGELICA at the Makris Hotel reception are super friendly and very very helpful. They answered all the questions and even gave recommendations on where to eat and sites to see. The rooms were clean. The bathroom shower may feel a bit tight for some people. But overall very nice hotel. There are a ton of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. An ice cream shop just around the corner. My kids had ice cream there every day. As I said you will have a huge selection restaurants within footsteps. The beach itself is rocky, so wear slip on water shoes. ANGELICA arranged for my airport transfer and ELENI made sure the driver was on time. Overall excellent service and excellent location. …
If you’re looking for a beachtown vibe place to stay look no further than the Makris beach hotel! We booked here unsure if we made the right choice as it’s not located in the main tourist filled towns of Oia or Fira. All our worries we’re washed away the second we arrived. We were greeted by Angelica who made our stay even more amazing with her 5 star hospitality. From booking taxis to offering restaurant recommendations, she was always happy to help us. The bus station is less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel and was very easy to take to travel to Fira and Oia. Overall, amazing stay and highlight of our trip!
Very well ran hotel on seafront, extremely helpful, friendly reception area team, well catered in breakfast bar and maintained to a high standard in cleanliness of accommodation and around hotel. Well worth a visit at a good reasonable price
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯First time to Santorini, and nothing but praise for the Makris Beach Hotel. From arrival to departure, nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff. Angelika (I think that’s how you spell her name) was very helpful, and again nothing was ever to much trouble. The hotel is right on the sea front in Kamari, we were lucky enough to have one of their 1 bedroom suites with large balcony with hot tub, and fantastic sea views. Would highly recommend this hotel, and if we ever return will book to stay here again. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Absolutely gorgeous place. Amazing service,Lovely breakfast Fantastic location right on the beach and close to various bars and restaurant 10 mins to bus station. Would highly recommend and return to this place this beautiful accommodation
This is a lovely hotel in a great location, it is right near all the gift shops and restaurants as well as the bus stop which was a big help. They also had an incredible breakfast, definitely the best hotel breakfast I’ve had whilst in Greece. There was so many options and it was all delicious!
We loved every moment of our stay..beautiful & helpful staff..engaging & appealing. Fantastic food & great positive energy...above & beyond. Super close to all the restaurants & beaches. Ancient sites also very close within walking distances.
Actually the best choice. Unfortunately we received two different rooms (one renovated on the top floor as described below and another one on the ground floor, which was quite dark and old and you would not like to open the window to the side of the street). After asking at the reception if they'd have another room we learnt that all other rooms were booked. That's why we had to toss a coin in order to decide who gets which room. Problem solved. So this is now about room 35 ... ;-) Absolutely comfortable. Only thing I'd recommend is to think of a solution that allows to e.g. open window without allowing anyone to look into the room at the same time. Leaving the window open at night was somehow impossible as everyone could have put his head through the window then. Good that there was another window in the bathroom wihich allowed a bit of a blow. Also it would be cool to seperate the key from the card for electricity so that you do not always have to decide wether you go for electricity in the room or lock the door instead. But it's also easy to take the card for electricity simply off the key-ring which makes life a bit easier ;-) Service (Maria/Vassiliki at the reception and also cleaning staff) was very friendly and helpful when we needed information of any kind. Thanks again! Thinking of the breakfast - this was served in Prince restaurant at beach-front. Not only at night a lovely place to be but also for breakfast, which was absolutely gorgeous. You could tell that the person in charge of this really put his/her heart into it. Coffee (which is always most important to me) was nice, fresh bread, absolutely the best croissants ever, a collection of fresh fruits, greek salad, alternating versions of scrambled eggs, cookies, donuts, ham, .... name it - they had it. Plus again a friendly service which didn't chase you off the table even if you stayed longer due to a hangover from the night before ... or so ;-) Even if I didn't fall in love with the island itself, I really enjoyed this place a lot and recommend it to everyone going there (but be sure you have a nice room too).…
