Great position, wonderful staff, lovely spacious rooms.good quality food. Lovely pool and loads if sunbeds.would recommended this hotel .All the hotel was exceptionally clean and spotless. Cant praise staff enough
This is a fantastic hotel with friendly helpful staff. It is kept spotlessly clean with fresh towels everyday and fresh comfy beds. Had superior bungalow over looking the beach....brilliant. Very safe environment and also onsite supermarket, what more can you ask for? Thanks to all staff especially Juan Pedro Gomez Raez who helped with all the times I had to cancel and rebook and then with arranging a late check out. We will definitely return
Just home from a long awaited holiday at the Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort - we loved every minute. The staff couldn't have done more to ensure a safe, comfortable holiday. Our apartment was very comfortable with excellent storage and a well stocked kitchen. The TV had UK satellite channels. Both living room and bedroom had separate air conditioners. The sun terrace overlooking the beach was a treat with table and chairs and sunbeds. The food was excellent with a wide variety at every meal - suitable for all tastes. The pools were clean, with lifeguards and entertainment provided should you wish to take part. The staff were vigilant about safety - everyone wore masks and kept safe distance without exception. Hand sanitizers were everywhere. The resort was quiet but shops and restaurants were open. We had a fantastic time - can't wait to return.…
We stayed 2 weeks in a bungalow, half board, and we had a lovely relaxing holiday. The hotel grounds are very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and well located bordering the beach on one side and the coastal walk and the sea on the other. We loved the coastal walk which was flat and an easy stroll. The bungalow was fine, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is very basic and not really suited to cooking, but fine for making a coffee or a sandwich. The living room is a little tired, but fine really, and we had a large terrace with comfortable sun beds. The maid kept it spotlessly clean. The hotel staff are all very friendly and work really hard to give you a great holiday. We found that breakfast outside was great, with a big selection, and nice to eat outside. Dinner at night was very busy till about 7.30pm then it calmed down as families with young kids were finished by then. The dinner buffet offered a large selection, and the staff worked hard to clear tables and keep everything topped up. People generally wore face masks, and there were hand sanitising stations throughout. We have been at other hotels recently where plastic gloves were provided so that people using the serving utensils were not touching them with bare hands, and I think that would be a good idea for this hotel to implement to give customers increased safety from Covid. The hotel had a main pool area, which to be honest we avoided as the music was pretty loud at times, we used a smaller pool which was much quieter near the kids club, and the adjacent beach when the wind wasn't too strong. The beach offered plenty of space, a great beach bar for beer or coffee, and I swam in the sea most days which was a surprise in November! Caleta de Fuste has a selection of bars and restaurants, quite a few are closed presumably because of Covid effects on the economy, but still places to eat if you are half board, if you were eating out every night that would be a bit repetitive. The nearby Atlantico shopping mall had a few nice shops selling better quality clothing than back in the UK. With a very quick 10min airport transfer the hotels is ideal for some winter sun. …
Barcelo' resort is a great place for couples and families, not so much for solo travellers. the facilities are good and the room comfortable. if you look to discover Fuerteventura, probably caleta de fuste is not the most authentic place. if you just want a place to realxe, that's a good option.
