We stayed here for 2 nights last week. The welcome we received was very warm and friendly and set the standard for what turned out to be a fantastic stay. Our room was warm, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed plus a few nice extra touches. Breakfast on both mornings was plentiful and delicious with great service. I...

We arrived at this establishment at 5.30pm after a day out celebrating our young son’s birthday and wished to end the day with a lovely family meal. The waiting staff who greeted us informed us we would have to be finished by 7pm but we didn’t think that presented a problem as we were only intending to have one course...

Easy to reach location. Great hospitality excellent value for money. Clean, warm and friendly. We came as a couple in need of a night away and this hit the spot it is located near some beautiful sights. The staff were very welcoming and we could not have asked for more. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot.

We have both dined and drank here on many occasions But it has changed but no for the better (shame) It used to be very good and if the management looked at the reviews they seem to be of similar comments so i would have thought they may have taken this on board !! Our last two visits we noticed...

Arrived on the Friday night and were shown to our room (11) by a very helpful receptionist. Room was homely but clean and perfectly adequate although the bed was a bit short! Experienced very good service in the bar on Friday night and had a bar meal, food quality was excellent (restaurant standard) and good choice of wines. Breakfast on...

We were so looking forward to introducing our friends to the Devonshire Arms. We've been banging on for ages telling them how good it is. So our weekend in Derbyshire expertly planned with some staying at the Devonshire, some in Bakewell and others at Chatsworth Caravan park. Table booked for 7.30 pm. When we arrived we were told the booking...

Slow service today, the first served had finished before the thirteenth meal arrived. Food portions were meagre and I didn't order sides of veg as I didn't realise they were at extra cost. One person had a £22 steak that was mainly gristle and 6 square inches of belly pork is insufficient for a main course. The waitress tried hard...

Can't fault this place. Went for a little bIrthday treat; it is very laid back but you do get the impression that the staff are getting on with it! It is very close to Chatsworth Park(one minute) through their back entrance. Food in the restaurant is very good and competitive hotel prices for the area. I can recommend this hotel...

Had a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the world. Lovely room and the staff were kind, welcoming and very helpful. In the evening we had a nice meal in the adjacent restaurant. Sunday morning walk around the beautiful Chatsworth Park. Would recommend.
