My friend and I had an amazing stay at Bubnell Cliff Farm. The area is extremely picturesque and quiet. Our room was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and full of lovely touches. The ensuite bathroom was pristine and the lounge was charming and comfortable. Chris was very happy to show us around the farm and Sue prepared a delicious fry up... More

I've just stayed here with a friend and everything about it was good: the rooms, the food and the welcome. It was the first time I'd stayed in the Peak District and I don't think it could be improved.

Sum it up in 1 word - fantastic. the rooms were well appointed, clean and presentable. As we have bot hroom booked the lounge was ours for the using so... More

Our stay did not get off to a good start. The website says the guest house is 1/2 a mile from the centre of Baslow, it is not, it is at least twice as far and not really what you want when you have already done 14 miles on a sweltering hot day (as an aside Apple Maps won't help... More

We were walking the Peak District and were given this as a place to stay. There was nothing wrong with the accommodation itself, but it was nearly a mile off the beaten path with no restaurants nearby. Our hostess seemed reluctant to have to drive us anywhere, but when we could reach no taxis, decided she could be inconvenienced. Same... More

We had a 2 night stay in the Blue Room. Lovely comfortable accommodation. The room was warm and cosy despite staying during a cold spell (although the bathroom never really warmed up!) The lounge, with log burner was very pleasant after a day out and, as the website says, with a glass of red wine! The owners were very friendly... More

We wanted a room just for the night to attend a family gathering. Room was spacious with fantastic views across the open country side. The bathroom was huge, shower over bath, basin, WC. Very clean and although not modern in design its what you'd expect in an old working farm house, woodchip paper, pine furniture etc. Lovely breakfast room with... More

Bubnell Cliff Farm provided a pleasant and peaceful base from which four of us headed off to explore the surrounding countryside and historical sites. We spent a long weekend enjoying well equipped bedrooms, spacious bathrooms and a lounge in which to relax. Breakfast each morning set us up for the day's adventures. Our hosts' extensive local knowledge helped us navigate... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at Bubnell Cliff Farm and absolutely loved it. The area is gorgeous and the atmosphere is tranquil and cozy. Sue and Chris were welcoming and thoughtful hosts--happy to answer questions about nearby attractions. It's wonderful to find a place that feels so quiet and out of the way while actually being incredibly convenient... More
