Spent two nights in a downstairs room which, while not as expensive as upper floor, still had good mountain views. Room offered all we could have wanted. Upstairs kitchen/lounge was impressive; comfortable and offering stunning views, including Aoraki Mt Cook. I was impressed by staff attitude, especially in the help offered when my wife hurt her knee on an icy... More

Really enjoyed our 1 night stay here to explore Mt. Cook National Park. Nothing's fancy about the room but it's clean, spacious, cozy and well- equipped. Our room had a kitchenette and patio with stunning view of the icy mountain. Location was ideal, only a few minutes walk to the Visitor Center and Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Center. Friendly &... We stayed in one of the motel rooms that had en suite shower room and kitchen area, the room was well equipped. Had a wall heater that took a while to work out but once it did it warmed the room to a good temperature, also had dual electric blankets which was a nice touch as it was very cold... More

Clean room, shared cooking facilities and some guest were cooking salmon away that we had rush out from the kitchen due to strong smell. We had dinner at Chamois bar and grill which was around 3 minutes drive, best food I have had for a very long time. Amazing food. It was recommended at the hotel reception. It was also... More

Very nice place to live. Standalone villas rather than hotels. Room is super big. Amazing view, right next to Mt Cook. Heating bathroom floor. Love it! Strongly recommend! Only thing is no breakfast provided, have to go to the next building for breakfast.

Nice, clean accomodation with friendly staff. It is in walking distance to the hermitage and other accomodations and restaurants as well as a bunch of trailheads. There is a great communal area with kitchen if you want to cook which I suggest, as there are limited places to eat in the area.

Hello Robert Z, Thanks for your review. Yes, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and many of our guest enjoy this. In Winter there are usually only 2 or 3 restaurant choices whereas in Summer there are 4. Kind regards, Mary, Verena & Denise More

Just an overnight stay in late May, but loved every minute. Mt Cook village at its best. Nearly a metre of snow, blue skies, crisp air & uninterupted views of the Alps. The room was a good size, the bed comfy and very warm. Reception was friendly and efficient. Upstairs is a great facility, with well appointed kitchen facilities, comfy... More

We leave in the morning and so far on our trip I think I have enjoyed this place the most. The freedom of having the large open lounge area upstairs is great, and the self catering kitchen is awesome for making a nice warm dinner after a chilly day exploring the area. I would definitely return here if we ever... More

Good cosy accommodation, fantastic views. The hotel is well located in the village and a short walk from the hermitage hotel which tends to be the pick-up point for most excursions in the area. It was a shame that ours got cancelled, nevertheless the stay was enjoyable. The room is adequately stocked, spacious and the owner was quite helpful .... More
