Visited the cafe and really liked the place so decided to spend our last night in tarapoto here. It was cosy. Morning in the patio, bluffet breakfast, kind staff and very centric. I loved the environmental conscience and the very Eco-feel to it.

This was the second time that I stayed here in a yea'rs time. The rooms were clean and beds were quite comfortable. Both times that I stayed the wifi was very inconsistent. If you do not speak Spanish, communication may be difficult. The restaurant upstairs has possibly the best coffee in Tarapoto.

I stayed at Casa de Palos for 5 days. Initially I was in a second floor room and two days later moved to a room downstairs. The 13 rooms are built around 3 sides of an inner courtyard full of palm and other trees and flowers, and small patio tables and chairs. It has a wonderful coffee shop serving expresso,...

Casa de Palos has always been one of my favorite places to stay while visiting Tarapoto (tara) for business or leisure. Now it includes 'Tostaduria Quilpa' a coffee bar with a nice variety of different coffees from the rainforest area , roasted and grinded right after selecting it to have a wonderful brew, if you want assessed by their 'barista'

The hotel surrounds a small garden which contains tropical plants and a cage of saddle-back tamarins, which are allowed out to skitter through the trees in the mid-morning. The rooms are very nice, though the ground-floor rooms are a little dark, being shaded by the trees and the upper floors. Traffic noise is always present but not obtrusive, and drunken...

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a very good choice. The place is very nice with a beautiful rain-forest-like garden, with a toucan and monkeys. Helpful owner, good breakfast and nice, comfortable rooms. But all this is not cheap at all (especially considering the low prices Tarapoto has in general - much lower than Cusco region)

I was lucky to find 'Hostal Casa de Palos' while staying at a neutral brand-new hotel where my company had booked me. I moved immediately and felt is was the best decision. It has less than twenty rooms, each carefully taken care of, each guest is really helped with any need. But the most important thing and the one making...

“Rooms downstairs are quieter.”

“One of my favorite rooms is number '7', eventhough they don´t yet have a pool, being on the first or ground floor is great as one feels being out of the urban area because this is one of the few lodgments that keeps the feeling of being on the rainforest instead of being one more urban hotel without the local materials or style (which is absurd not to use actually....)”

“Rooms in the farthest corners of the courtyard look very dark. The upper ones look great but don't know how noisy they are. Avoid staying here on Friday/Saturday nights if you can, because of noisy weekenders.”

“The best room is number '7' on the first floor. I haven´t tried the rooms on the second floor, the first or ground floor opens to the inner garden giving the illusion of being out of town.”
