I spent three nights at El Mirador. I really enjoyed my stay there. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and my bed was comfortable. I had a good wifi coonection most of the time. The staff was very helpful and Señora Talma, the owner, is a delightful woman who runs a good hotel. My room was a little stuffy right...

Great spot quiet and friendly. Will pickup from the airport as part of the service. Thelma the owner has her finger on the pulse. Best breakfast in all of Peru. The cost of a private room in the new building is a bit steep at S150 but has AC. There are other less costly options available. We stayed in room...

If you are going to Tarapoto, you need to have two things in mind. First, Tarapoto is not Lima, and El Mirador is not a Hilton. Tarapoto is rural Peru, and things are much more rustic than in the big city. Second, your trip will be must better if you or someone in your party speaks Spanish. Very few people...

We stayed in the separate cabin at the back of the El Mirador. We enjoyed the friendliness of the owner, she always asked how we were doing and wished us sweet dreams. The conversation was rather limited as she only speaks Spanish and we don't. Go for the breakfast in the morning, it is a feast. We never had better...

from the moment we were picked up from the bus station by the owner, with a big hug, we felt part of the family! El Mirador is in a lovely location, close enough to walk into town but far enough to be quiet. The rooms were very clean and the place is very safe. There is a lovely roof terrace...

I have traveled quite a bit over the years and this is the kind of place you find only every once in a while...... It's family run, the 'duena' and her nieces and nephews being incredibly warm and hospitable. The place is very quiet, being just the right distance away from the town center, the service and hygiene is spot...

I found El Mirador on Trip Advisor. I read Takimuyki's comment and decided to spend 2 days there. I ended up spending 5 nights at the hotel. It has an excellent location in Tarapoto up on the hill and away from the many moto taxis that buzz around town. They have a patio on the 3rd floor with hammocks and...

El Mirador is a family owned and run small hotel. Centrally located within walking distance to the Plaza Mayor. Very clean, extremely quiet. Staff helpful and very nice. Dining, relaxing in a hammock, or simply enjoying the lovely view available on the rooftop terrace.
