One of the few refuges with that nice authentic calm hiker spirit. Gentle staff, charming decoration and good food. Would recommend it. Not too many tourists, so this refuge is good if you're a free spirit.
We stopped at this refuge rather than walking down to Les Contamines and were glad we did as the views were special in the evening.
