Apart from being an amazing spot to dream and rest it now has the most thorough cleaning protocol, one that makes you feel extremely safe -which for me is highly important in these times. In addition to that, attention to detail, service, scrumptious food and the place itself is just fantastic. I've had the privilege to visit a few times and I always love to be back to this lovely piece of paradise. Anne and her team are the absolute best. Highly recommended!
There are not enough words to describe the experience of a stay at this truly remarkable stay. We loved the room, the staff, the food, the view and the location. We were treated like old friends and invited to join in the staff Christmas party- we felt so welcome! This was the most relaxing hotel we have ever stayed at- quaint, and quiet. With only 9 rooms, its always quiet.
My wife and I stayed two weeks in the superb little hotel on a hill overlooking the beach. Every day we ate a gourmet breakfast at the very large table where other guests eat. The owner is a lovely French lady named Anne so there were many French & French Canadian guests, however, there were also Mexicans, Spaniards, Germans, and Americans. We were impressed by how easy it was to get to know others at breakfast or lunch & we made some friends that we hope to see again. The service was really great & whenever we had a problem Eduardo, Clarisa or Aldo always solved it. Getting to the beach is a bit of a hike down & up a steep hill. We like to walk for exercise, but if you don't like to walk or have a disability, then you would probably prefer someplace else.
The best hidden gem in Mazunte! Most beautiful staff, incredible food and gorgeous views. Perfect location in walking distance to restaurants, staff is so helpful and made our stay effortless and relaxing. Perfect beach spot. Wish we were there now.
It's taken me a while to make the time to write this review, because Casa Pan de Miel is such a special place and I want the people reading this to really feel that too. I travel a lot and usually choose budget accommodation since I spend very little time at the hotel anyway. Casa Pan de Miel was a bit of a splurge for me (though still a very reasonable price) and the experience was worth every penny and more. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed in like an old friend, introduced to all the staff by name and shown where to find everything from drinks and snacks to sarongs and sun cream. The view from my balcony was absolutely stunning – I genuinely could have spent the four days just lazing in my hammock looking over the ocean – and every possible comfort was provided in the room. As a solo traveller, I loved the mix of privacy and community. One moment I would be reading quietly on a sun lounger or walking on a deserted beach, the next I'd be whale watching from the pool, and sharing birthday cake and mezcal with people I'd just met. In my four nights at Pan de Miel, I had so many great conversations, ate so much delicious food, took in so much natural beauty and experienced so much warmth and kindness – all of which will stay with me forever. I felt like I was truly at home there, and I can't wait to go back. ¡Miles de gracias, Casa Pan de Miel! Les mando un abrazo muy fuerte y muchos saludos a tod@s!…
