Sunday night not very busy. Food delivered very quickly and generally service was good and friendly. Nice and warm as opposed to the freezing conditions outside. Can defintely recommend the mixed grill and the Lemon Meringue pie. Apparently the Fish Pie and Winter Berry Cheesecake isnt too shabby either. Came out feeling full. Just wished we'd booked a room! Great...

On arrival we where shown to our room by a lovely member of staff named Claire. Everything seemed to look ok on first appearance, bed was incredibly uncomfortable supposed to be a luxury topper on mattress but was very lumpy and pillows very hard. Large couch in front of bed that look inviting- too inviting in fact as when sat...

Stopped here with some American friends on a tour of Southern England. Very welcoming, thoughtful and generous team. Winchelsea is beautiful - well worth a look around (as is Rye). The New Inn was comfortable and extremely clean. We had both dinner and breakfast. Both prepared to a high standard. If you're going to stay in Winchelsea or want to...

I stayed here just before Christmas and I was very pleased with the experience. Staff were wonderful, ambience was good, rooms were delightful (equipped with nespresso machines..a wonderful touch) and food acceptable. The full english was top class in the morning. I will definitely be staying here again and look forward to it. Thanks

Popped over for Birthday lunch from St Leonards as we have been told it's well worth the trip. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, the waitress sat us down with drinks and menus and took our order for our food. Shared starter was very nice, chicken wings and Scampi were perfect, we had burgers for main and I highly...

Salmon Linguine fans must try this pub's version. It is absolutely lovely - with a creamy sauce and the softest pasta. Served with a warm ciabatta drizzling in garlic butter! Followed by the best (& I have tried a few to say the least!) lemon meringue pie (served as an individual dish - not a slice). My husband had the...

Near to the sea but within a really quiet and historic village this is a great place to relax. The rooms are comfortable, warm and spacious and the bar / restaurant is home from home. Food is good value and very well prepared and presented. (Try the Pies! Top notch nosh!) All the Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our special...

We have just enjoyed another weekend away in Winchelsea. Once again we had a spotlessly clean and comfortable room, friendly staff and great food. The wonderful log fire gives such a warm and homely feeling, especially when the weather is so cold! We will be back!

We visited the venue this evening being 10th January to celebrate my birthday with my partner. We chose this venue as it was mine and my partners first date over a year ago and we had such wonderful service and food we could not wait to return. We arrived and the place was dead with three patrons at the bar...
