As this was advertised as 4* we were expecting more, but it seemed only like a 3* motel. Our room was a good size, but dusty. The carvery was nice and man who served us was very friendly and helpful. However, our meal on the Monday evening (burgers) wasn't nice at all - lukewarm chips, limp lettuce and dried cucumber... More

My Husband and I went to the lodge for dinner for our 2nd wedding anniversary. The food was amazing and the service we recieved was excellent. The guy who served us was on his own with only 2 other tables, he was so attentive and really nice so thank you for making our 2nd wedding anniversary one we won't forget.

Wonderful food, a stunning location, plenty of parking, a great place to stay, and the staff brilliant, all very polite as you would expect, a great place to have any function. The town of Rye just ten minutes away a must as this is a historic port with so much history, the stunning Camber sands beach just a little further... More

Superb views from the bathroom. Room was quirky & clean. Expensive for what it was & did not include cooked breakfast but easy to find & a good location. Fine for a one night stay & plenty of parking.

This places advertises no pets but the room we were checked into stank heavily of dog as did the next room we were moved to. We only stayed one night not the four we were booked to stay. Three weeks later they take the full amount from my card. Not too impressed they retained card details after my payment for... More

This was a great location for visiting other attractions in the area. Although value for money, the room was quite small, wifi didn't work in our room and the shower pressure was dreadful. Continental breakfast was adequate. However we ordered ham, egg and chips for lunch on a Tripadvisers recommendation and were disappointed - not enough chips!

I am struggling to find something nice to say about this place. Anything nice. The toast was hot and plentiful at breakfast. Other than that it was a disgrace. It claims to have 4 stars. I simply cannot imagine on what basis these were awarded unless it was four out of a possible thousand because at least the toast was... More

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of September. The staff when we arrived were courteous and prompt. We where allocated a room on the first floor, at the rear of the building. The room itself was quiet, clean, easily accessible. Was of a good size, on a split level from the seating area and the bathroom. The... More

After driving through Rye our two families came across this restaurant around dinner time. The staff were very accommodating to us - 4 adults and 4 children. Activity books and crayons were supplied for the children. 3 adults had the carvery which was fab and I had Thai fishcakes which were lovely. Kids had ice cream and brownies for dessert... More

We visited family nearby so the location was perfect for us but there's nothing nearby to do, especially for small children. We had a triple room and took our own travel cot so our room was very cramped. The room wasn't very clean, more like it just gets a quick flick with a duster and a quick lick with the... More
