Hugh and Mary were the perfect hosts. During our short break at Strand House we had problems with our car and Hugh did all he could to make sure that we were able to get the problems sorted as smoothly as possible in order not to have our break spoiled. I had made a request for gluten free breakfast and... More

We went once before five years ago and loved it. We went back with friends last weekend and the second visit is as good as the first one. The new cottage is very comfortable with beautiful views on the countryside and the same lovely style as the main building. When I booked, I felt really welcome as they remembered us... More

The house is unique with low ceilings and sloping floors. The rooms are comfortable and very well presented. Good coffee making facilities and welcoming staff. Breakfast can be taken in the beautiful garden with a woodland backdrop. The menu is excellent.with a good range of options. A must visit again place!

My partner and I booked to stay at this beautiful B & B at fairly short notice as we were let down by another hotel in a different location. A lovely traditional Tudor house, just away from town. Very warm welcome and all the staff friendly. Food in the morning very good. Check in times and check out times very reasonable! Arrived with my wife and 2 small children.

Checked in by Beatrix who was very welcoming. We stayed in a room within a cottage on the grounds which was modern and very comfortable, including a private outside space with table and chairs. Breakfast was delicious with lovely homemade goodies to choose from, including honey from beehives on site. Would highky recommend.
