The house is unique with low ceilings and sloping floors. The rooms are comfortable and very well presented. Good coffee making facilities and welcoming staff. Breakfast can be taken in the beautiful garden with a woodland backdrop. The menu is excellent.with a good range of options. A must visit again place!

My partner and I booked to stay at this beautiful B & B at fairly short notice as we were let down by another hotel in a different location. Mary took care of our booking and both her and Hugh ensured our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Hugh recommended restaurants and local amenities which was very helpful as we are... More

A lovely traditional Tudor house, just away from town. Very warm welcome and all the staff friendly. Food in the morning very good. Check in times and check out times very reasonable! Arrived with my wife and 2 small children.

Checked in by Beatrix who was very welcoming. We stayed in a room within a cottage on the grounds which was modern and very comfortable, including a private outside space with table and chairs. Breakfast was delicious with lovely homemade goodies to choose from, including honey from beehives on site. Would highky recommend.

We stayed for a long weekend in May and had a wonderful time. The house is charming - crooked and quaint and full of little details - and served as a perfect base to explore the area from, something which was made all the easier by the detailed insights and maps we were given upon arrival. Being able to wander... More

We had a single night at this lovely old cottage and stayed in the Tudor Room with the four poster bed. Lovely view of garden and fields. As you would expect low ceilings, creaky floors and loads of character. Great breakfast and able to have it outside when warm. Staff were really good and friendly and recommended walks (and the... We were very grateful that we could be accommodated at short notice given that we stayed bank holiday weekend. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the room and linen were spotless. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, which was nicely cooked and presented. The proprietor was very helpful in suggesting a lovely walk along the old military canal... More

Had a lovely stay here with our family. We stayed in the garden view room which is in the attic of the house. Please bare in mind that it is somebodies house that has been converted to a B&B. The house is old so everything is a bit wonky. But that is all part of the charm. We had a... More
