Booked into The Royal Arms by mistake! What a most pleasant mistake in almost every way. People count. The young staff were excellent. What the chief produced was amazing. The attention to detail in the public areas was exceptional. A couple may not be too impressed with the squeaky bed, nor the poor sound proofing between rooms but for a... More

Been out in the Field all day and retire back to this very well run Pub with function area and eating area. Staff were brilliant especially Sarah x2 who greeted and took our x7 orders. Food was great, house red wine great and plenty of punters also eating tonight. Steak was great, maybe slightly overdone than rare but very impressed and... More

Stayed here for one night. Staff were amazing. They were the only good thing about this hotel. We went to our room to find a tiny bed with a head and foot board. Not good when your parter is over 6ft 5". We had 1 small bottle of water to share. 1 small hand and bath towel to share!!! The... More

Myself and my husband picked The Royal Arms as our wedding venue. The wedding was on 11th June 2016 and had been booked over 18 months before. Anoop the manager couldn't have been more accommodating in the lead up to the wedding, all our requests were accommodated and were never too much trouble, even allowing our dog to come up... More

This place is well worth a visit, rooms clean and very comfortable. The restaurant and bar are very cosy and original, the food is amazing, recommend the flat iron steak with their peppercorn sauce (the best I've ever tasted). The cooked breakfast is also tasty. Most of all the staff are very welcoming and polite. One of my favourite places... More

Came across this pub and restaurant by accident, large car park and outside seating, decided to have a meal in the bar.Served by a very friendly and attentive waitress, the menu very suitable for all appetites. We had the roast of the day and the fish and chips both excellent. Will definitely return for the entertainment advertised.

Booked into the Royal Arms with my daughter on the 25th May 2016 prior to my fathers funeral the following day. Whilst the staff and restaurant were very good the room we stayed in (6) was dirty, the beds were badly stained (did take a photo of the base of my daughters bed) the bedding was very old and probably... Was greeted on a Friday evening by a lovely waitress in the bar. She showed us to our room and was very friendly. Unfortunately the room wasn't very clean with cobwebs, dead wasps and flies around, as well as stained carpets and a lack of general toiletries. Particularly bath towels. Breakfast was not a pleasant experience with the waiter not... More
