NB This is only a review of the bar. Visited for lunch - it's a nice place with friendly staff, good service and decent food. My only criticism is the portion size - I don't expect gluttony sized portions but I don't think 6 small pieces of scampi justifies an £8.75 price tag.

I booked this a few days before a birthday party as I needed somewhere to stay close to the venue. Chalfont St Peter is 15 minutes from Motorways and the A40 to London. The staff were exceptional. They came out to my vehicle to carry my case up to my room and back to my vehicle the following day. The room... More

We had some colleagues staying here so decided to try out the restaurant...Needless to say we visited twice during our stay in the local area as the food and service was so good. Great choice of fish, steak and not the usual boring veggie options! See photos, seabass was delicious and recommend the scallops. Amy was an amazing waitress with... More

The staff were so very nice and helpful, the room was clean and smart. My wife and I had a great sleep on their beds. Breakfast was lovely.. the evening meal, I cant fault it, we both had steak, and it was very nice, all done to a very high standard. Having the bar just across in the next room,... More

We arrived on a Friday for a family wedding the next day at Pinewood Studios so choose this inn as it was not far away . We were shown up to our room which was quite big with a shower toilet room. Straight away me noticed that the only clothing furniture was a wardrobe to hang things up in. Because... More

This makes for a disappointing read. The Greyhound is a pub with rooms and a very popular village pub too, so it can be noisy. I am very sorry to read about the food that ran out as that is poor organisation. I will be reviewing this with the management team there. Peter More

We chose the Greyhound Inn for our one night B&B present. Booking the night was easy and I asked to upgrade to the Kingsize room, which we were able to do for £20 more than what our gift voucher provided. The bar area was nice, although it was a bank holiday Monday and we were told that the kitchen had... More

Location good, Food excellent, young polite and friendly staff. Bedroom very dated obviously not decorated with the rest of the pub, extremely dark and dingy rooms with a broken wardrobe door and electric fan in bathroom not working. Unfortunately in a front bedroom above designated smoking area so cigarette smoke drifting up all the time and although we expected noise... More

Before booking I phoned to check that there were no special parties or weddings booked. I expressly wanted a quiet night away. The bar was very busy and the music very loud and my room was right above it. I did think it's a pub the bar will soon quieten down. How wrong I was - it was 1am before... More

We went for an early evening meal which consist of starters crayfish salad with avocado followed Sea bass on a bed of new roast potato, piles of spinach. (popeye for those of you who can remember). I had Grandpa Richardson own sausages with rosemary mash it was delicious. No room for a sweet. The ambience of the restaurant area was... More

My partner and I stopped in at the Greyhound Inn for lunch , on our way to visit some friends. We found a most unexpected menu , including a sharing plate of cold meats and cheeses , which we chose .
