We went to this hotel for a family wedding/blessing and stayed in a lodge. When first entering it we were blown away by the views and the overall layout. Robin hoods bay is in the distance and closer on we saw deer playing on the golf course. We found everything to be great here apart from me cutting my finger... More

Dinner, bed and breakfast at a lovely seaside hotel. Superior room upgrade was available with a bay view (see pictures). Well worth the trip up, although it is best to have your own transport as it is off the beaten track.

The view from the hotel is unbeatable. It is clear that the hotel enjoyed better times in the past - the public areas are impressive and the rooms are large. However, the decor is shabby, the room wasn't clean enough, poor amenities, and waters that barely speak English.

Hotel with fantastic views.....rooms too small and limited but fantastic views. Staff a little too serious and self important, but fantastic views. Food ok... Some excellent, but breakfast rolls for garlic bread. Most expensive hotel on the trip and not worth the money but you've guessed it....fantastic views....

Stayed for one night. There are some excellent deals, particularly for Sunday nights. We paid £75 plus £5 for our dog. That was for bed and breakfast but we also dined in the Panorama Restaurant which was excellent if a little pricey for vegetarians at £24 for a 2-course meal- well worth it though. The main thing about the hotel... More

Been to this hotel a couple of times just for a pot of tea and scones or cakes. The historic building is quite majestic with beautiful lawns extending along the cliff top. The view over the bay is magnificent and on a clear day Robin Hood' s Bay can be seen in the far distance. Reception is welcoming and tea... More

My husband and I visited Ravenscar for the first time over the weekend as a surprise for my husbands birthday. What a wonderful find! The views from the hotel are breathtaking; the hotel awe inspiring on first sight; our room delightful and had views from two aspects as it was on the corner of the hotel and as for the... More

This is the third visit of mine to this hotel, and second time staying in the dog friendly Eco lodge. The weather made our stay we couldn't of planned better!!! The lodges still looked new, and still had all of the things you need for a self catering break away. It was all clean and tidy on our arrival. We... More
