We were on probably the best suite of the hotel so I presume my review can be a bit biased, but the hotel deserves the "special" mention.
It is placed on a island in the middle of the lagoon. It's almost a magic place. The hotel as such is nice and cosy, needing though some renewing for the wooden floors and so on.
Really odd but special outdoor warm water pool on the top of the building. It had some traps though as the sinks cut my daughters foot finger skin. To be checked!
Breakfast is great, michelin restaurant is too slow but very good in service and quality.
Very recommendable all in all

Our third visit here.
This time we arrived particularly sweaty and filthy having cycled from Perpignan airfield and without blinking they took our bikes and put in manager’s garage (and were very helpful when key didn’t work to get them out😉).
Great food, first meal out after release from Covid house arrest and it was a joy.
Great rooftop pool.
Nice little beach, albeit with evil albatross-sized gulls circling overhead from time to time.

We had such a wonderful time in this stunning hotel last year that we have re-booked with four family members. The hotel is beautifully situated on the lagoon, and a private boat whisks you to the nearby beach. The food and service were excellent and the staff were very friendly and hugely accommodating. We are very excited to be returning in a couple of weeks.

We had a nice suite but the airconditioning was not working well. The people were surprised and they put a manual unit extra in the room but it did not work well. The next day we changed rooms and when i spoke to another member of the hotel i heard that this problem in that room was well known. In a hotel where you pay €750 per night you don't expect such a theater.
They also did not have small towels and neither bath robes.

Disappointing customer service for a 5 start hotel. I was so excited to try this property. Unfortunately, my partner and I had to change our trip plans due to some serious, unexpected family health issues. I reached out just a few hours after the cancel deadline with the hopes of simply moving our reservation so as to not lose the $1600+ we spent for a room. The hotel took 5 days to respond to the request (and multiple were sent) only to say they couldn't do anything about it and thus we have to forfeit the full amount.

Really disappointing policies and customer service for a supposed "luxury" brand. Had they budged even a little and at least let us rebook to different dates, then they would've gained a loyal customer for years to come. Instead, they're getting this review, I'll never spend my money at Relais & Châteaux again, and I'll encourage friends and family to avoid them as well.

Some hotels have a spa, and some spa’s have a hotel. Here there is too much emphasis on the spa. Although theoretically in a beautiful location, the entrance requires a 4x4 due to poor road surface, the parking lot is not very spacious, the private beach seems appealing but swimming in the lagune is forbidden!. Staff is very friendly and boat shuttle to the beach is very easily available. However, staff seems to bee more friendly to some (more regular?) customers than to others. Unfortunately ants on several breakfast tables, in the room (despite several attempts with chemicals) and the lobby. The food in the restaurant is excellent, but only available in set menus, not a la carte? And for this standard one wouldn’t expect Nespresso-coffee!

Welcome on arrival excellent. Room looked fab with a huge terrace - a surprise upgrade I assumed (more of that later). Good room service cheese platter and wine after a late arrival. All was going so well until I had a shower the next morning and the bathroom started to flood which I put down to poor shower design. To avoid more flooding my husband took a bath and when it drained unfortunately it brought more water and waste from the toilet up the shower drain…………Long story short, we told reception who helpfully sent maintenance immediately, had breakfast and decided we wanted to leave a day early. Front desk couldn’t have been nicer and more apologetic. On checking the bill I found that we’d been charged for an upgrade which I was unaware I had requested (I had looked at the option on an email but decided not to go ahead). After the intervention of the manager that charge was removed. We weren’t charged for our early departure.
All in all an unpleasant experience (having to retrieve my things from the bathroom with excrement floating across the floor is not something I ever want to repeat). That said, the staff were all apologetic and helpful - especially the poor maintenance man who spent a while trying to unblock the plumbing.
The interior of the hotel and the room is very nice however the hotel suffers from being in a 70’s style building which isn’t very attractive.

I never review anything. This place is exceptional. The staff is very accommodating, happy and seem to like their jobs. The room was adorable. So many fun and thoughtful details throughout. We had the 7 course lunch at the restaurant with a wine pairing. Everything was local and cooked to perfection. Many of the courses had fun surprises. It’s amazing they don’t have a Michelin star. We especially loved the wine. This local region has some hidden gem wine makers and this hotel has figured out how to showcase them beautifully. The Sommelier knew his stuff. The thalasso therapy pool on the roof was a real treat and it had an adjacent hammam steam room. We will be back and I recommend this place all day long.

Lovely welcome worthy of 5 stars. Restaurant and dinner worthy of 5 star. Bar a bit slow on service but manageable. However, certain points (okay, small but make the difference) need to be addressed. Sunday morning, no milk for breakfast ??? And bacon was so cold it was uneatable. We went at 9am not 10 am, surely someone should have sorted that out from opening of the breakfast buffet. Toilet roll, sorry but had softer at Carrefour toilets!. Will not stop us going back but do hope to see an improvement. The first time we went to this hotel was about 30 years ago. Something nice to do every few years but you are in a very competitive market…

Nothing close to a Relais & Chateaux 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, nobody received our bags. We arrived at 4:30 and no food to offer until dinner time. The hallway to the room stinks! In my room, I opened up a Coca-Cola and it was old with no gas. The rooms are nice with a good view plus you have a terrace. Friendly staff and good parking lot.
