when we arrived (2 adults 1 18month old), we realised it's smaller than the photos showed. But it actually was perfect. Walking distance to the lake. 2 pools, one of which our toddler could walk in. a massive space in the bar for our boy to run around. amazing food for dinner and breakfast. service always came with a smile. it gets crowded at night after dinner as there is not enough space. also, get to dinner early as by 20:45 it starts being cleared away.
Absolutely awful stay. This is definitely NOT a four star hotel. I would say 2 stars at most. Really pokey, old and dated rooms, food awful, no comforts. Looks nice from the view from the road but inside is really BAD!
Honestly the worst stay of any hotel I've ever had without exception. We paid a basic price so weren’t expecting anything posh but the quality was way BELOW basic. Wifi wasn’t working for the entire stay. No amenities in the tiny, run down, outdated room. Old type AC unit making a noise like a freight train. The shower was teeny tiny and depressing. I had to leave the 1970s frosted doors open to avoid claustrophobia. Honestly it felt like a backpacker’s hotel without the excitement. No drinking water, water glasses, or tea/coffee making facilities. No iron…in a hotel…where people go to stay with all their clothes packed into suitcases. I asked at reception if they could provide an iron and the receptionist told me that the hotel doesn’t provide that service and directed me towards a local laundrette… The worst bit though was shortly after checking in, when we realised we were staying at a doggy hotel as a small yappy dog proceeded to bark loudly and incessantly right next to our room for several hours. When we alerted staff to the fact that there was a dog in their hotel, we were told ‘dogs are like children and need to stay somewhere too’. When I asked what their policy is on dogs staying in the hotel, the receptionist was very fuzzy about it and told me they're not allowed, but then changed her mind when we saw another guest walk by the reception area with her doggy in tow. I felt like I was in a sketch from a farcical hotel sitcom…ahem! Lo and behold, they were fully booked so couldn't move us to another room and when I asked for a refund for the booking so we could find a decent hotel without dogs, it was denied. Apparently, she was VERY clear on that part of the hotel’s policy! I honestly have no idea how on earth they've managed to maintain a 'very good' Google review rating. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I strongly recommend giving this one a miss unless you’re specifically looking for a dog friendly hotel and don’t mind it being a bit dreadful. AWFUL!…
A major discrepancy between pictures and actual hotel which was extremely disappointing. Poor hygiene, cleanliness. Uncomfortable beds with hard mattresses. Small suites for family oriented travelers.
We stayed here for 2 weeks with a family of 4 on holiday. It was a great experience and the kids enjoyed the kids club and evening entertainment. The staff was very professional and helpful with everything. The rooms are neat with airconditioning, they have 2 pools, 1 from toddlers and small kids and 1 normal pool with different depths. From 1.05 - 1.80. There is plenty of room to lie in the sun near the pool. The town is at 5 minute walk and there is a supermarket around the corner. I would recommend this hotel for anyone with or without children. Will visit again in 2021. Kind regards Patrick holkenborg
Unfortunately COVID-19 is around the world. Besides that we had an amazing vacation, everybody wears the masks and did everything to make it an unforgettable vacation! An it was amazing! Well done! Hopefully until next year!
A very large hotel Not much effort made with food, basically the same every day Same with the entertainment, same guy singing every night Could be so much better with a little it of effort Staff friendly and helpful though
Very nice hotel and very clean, every meal is different all days (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and great animation team. My kids loved the team. It isnt a big hotel but that makes it great for young children.
The staff was very nice and one point, that i really enjoyed was, that the young animators always took care of the children, so I think if I would be a child again, i would really enjoy to spend time to make jokes and dance with the animators. I will never forget, how nice one of the animators was. He helped, when we had questions or any problems. And I noticed, that he liked his job on the hotel. The area around the hotel is beautiful and useful, because there is the Lake Trasimeno, where you can go swim and two supermarkets. All in all we really enjoyed our time on the Hotel "Villa Paradiso" and i can completely recommend you to stay there for a few days!
It was nice staying at this hotel a had a great time with the animators the gave me a vacation that i will not forget i miss them already also the reception was realy good. Greetings from brian to: Yasmine, Roman, Dimitri, Federica, Francesco, sarah, nicolo, samuele.
