Should stay in Djidjack for 1 night but the atmosphere was that great I stayed longer. The owners are very nice, the diner is good, also is breakfast! I used a tent, good price! A walk to Djiffer is recommended but don't expect you can do anything else here. I had the luck to meet another backpacker what makes my... More

A nice place to stay, excursions to the river or to visit the Palmarin reserve can be organized. The sea is just in front, luckily not too close. Food is good, we enjoy the "royal breakfast" on the baobab tree with colourful birds all around. Dinner can be very interesting when Jean-Paul is there, he likes to share his passionate... More

We camped here for a couple of nights, the place itself was lovely, the little houses also looked great. The people were friendly and helpful, and we ate breakfast there which was good. A short walk from the site is a beach which again was beautiful with a ship wreck on the horizon. Sadly the camping area was basic, and... More

My wife and I, along with an extended family party, came here at the end of 10 days' holiday in Senegal. It was a wonderful end to the trip. I was expecting something very rustic - the owner calls it a 'campement' - and we were expecting to squash into a hut with several others. Instead, we had a beautiful,... More

Right away, the staff did not have a record of the reservation of our very large party. Since we arrived late in the evening, this turned into a bit of an ordeal. Being flexible, we bunked up three couples to a two bedroom bungalow and let the rest of our party do the same. We struggled to sleep since we... More

This was a family trip, and we spent two nights in the Djidjack. The place has a very nice garden with lots of trees and birds, something I liked very much. The Djidjack is located next to the beach, and there is also a small swimmingpool. We had an canoe excursion organised, and horseriding for the kids. This was the... More

Found this place in a travel guide and chose it almost at random. Could not believe this verdant gem of the Saloum: a haven of tranquility - a good handful of individual huts for 3-5 people in the middle of a park of over a 1000 trees. The tiny sea water pool is just enough to refresh if you don't... More

We stayed three nights at the Didjack camp in late august. I would strongly recommend the place for various reasons: first of all Graziela and Jean Luc are wonderful hosts making you feel at home and helping you out with any problem you may have. Talking with them over dinner is a wonderful experience and a helpful insight into Senegal.... More
