Hotel's Favorite
Stayed here in August for a couple of nights. It is a great hotel especially for its value and we really enjoyed it. The staff and service is really good and it is very convenient and a big perk in my opinion that the beach is right in front of the hotel, and more specifically you know you're almost guaranteed a spot because the chairs are reserved for clients. While it can be quite a drive to the other side of the island (Oia), not having to drive during the day especially if you're looking to hang out by Black Beach is a huge plus. The rooms were also quite spacious and very clean.

Hotel and staff were faultless. Right on the strip with beautiful restaurants that you get free sunbeams and service if you eat in their restaurant for lunch. Our favourite was Terra Nerra which is family run, the food was amazing not to mention the home made waffles we ate every night! The owner was so nice and friendly it was our favourite restaurant. He is opening up suites to stay soon.
Thira is only 15 minutes in a taxi and is so good exactly as you imagine. I prefer staying on the beach (sea was gorgeous) and going to Thira a couple of nights. Santorini is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and would highly recommend to all we had our little girl with us and she loved it here. We didn't go to Oia as 40 minutes away but will do that next time!
I agree with other reviews that tea and coffee facilities in the rooms is needed and a clothes dryer also the beach towels could be upgraded to match the quality of this hotel. Mojhitos were the best! Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday with amazing food in a beautiful place. I think because of Covid it wasn't as busy so was nicer as I can imagine the hills would be hectic in July /August time. The cleanliness was great in the mornings I would see the restaurants cleaning everything thoroughly turning the chairs upside down and cleaning every part etc. Breakfast was also good at this hotel but wouldn't eat dinner there as the restaurants on the strip were so reasonable and very high quality.

We stayed for a week but wish it had been two. The hotel and grounds are immaculate and well maintained. The rooms are simple and elegant. We had one of the ground floor ones close to the pool. Initially, we were disappointed that we didn’t have a balcony, but after a day or so realised that we were better off where we were as we could chat with our two neighbours on the terrace and get to the pool really easily. There’s everything you need in the rooms, comfy beds and pillows, fridge, and if you ask you can get a kettle. We had a sofa but I’m not sure all the rooms do. The shower was powerful but the hairdryer wasn’t so maybe pack your own. Clean sheets and Fresh towels every day. Good air conditioning. The cleaners were excellent and kept everything spick and span. When we arrived, we noticed a small tear in the cover of the sofa and mentioned it to reception as we didn’t want them to think we had done it. By the time we got back to our room later that evening, it had been replaced!. Pool towels are supplied to though we had packed our own thinking as B&B guests they might not be available to us. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, they were fabulous. We have to give a special shout out to Edmond who will carry your bags to your room on arrival and come and say hello and give you a lovely smile every day. There is plenty of space and with the 4 pools there is somewhere for everybody. We didn’t spend much time at the beach which was literally a few feet from the gate, there’s a steep shelf into the water off the very hot black sand beach and we preferred it in the evening when the local families were there too. Perissa is about a 30-40 minute walk but it’ll take you longer if you keep stopping to find shade like we did. There are loads of restaurants within a 10 minute walk, certainly enough to try a different one every night for a fortnight! Small supermarket 2 minutes walk from the hotel which sold basics and booze.
We met some lovely people on this holiday and wished we had booked for longer. We would highly recommend a holiday here.

Firstly I would like to thank the staff for being friendly, attentive and accommodating.
This is my first time at a resort in Santorini and I was delighted I stayed here.
The resort has a few large swimming pools, a Short walk to the beach with their own private area, chairs and parasol.
The room we stayed had a balcony, the bed was very comfy and very clean. Room Cleaning happened everyday including the change of towels. There is a small fridge in the room.
Breakfast was a buffet style however you were served.
We did not managed to stay at the pool but the beach was great . We also found a few good places to eat lunch and dinner.
We left already planning our next Greek odyssey.

This has been the best hotel we have ever stopped at. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are very modern, the beds were so comfy it was the best weeks sleep we have had on holiday. The bathroom was perfect and there was no surrounding noise at night, even on nights where there was live music at the pool bar we couldn’t hear a thing and we were in a room close by.
The pool bar is lovely, the food is the best I’ve had from a pool bar and the staff are very friendly. We had no issues getting a sun bed and there was plenty free even after 9/10am. There is also free beach beds for the hotel guests right outside the hotel on a lovely beach, this is viewed by many as the best beach in Santorini and there is many day trips of people from other parts coming to this beach. The hotel has their own private bit of beach for hotel guests only, with waitress service and free sun beds. If you walk 2 minutes up the beach it’s €20 for a sun-bed so this is a great addition for hotel guests. We saw many sunsets whilst in Santorini but the best experience was wandering down to the hotel beach sunbeds to watch the sunrise, completely free with no one else around ( see photos).
Before going I had read reviews and went with the idea that breakfast wouldn’t be great. This couldn’t have been further from the truth, breakfast was so lovely. There is so much choice at the buffet (eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, cereals, yoghurts, lovely fresh fruit, meats & cheeses, fresh bread, croissants, pastries, pancakes, sweet treats, lovely fruit juices, coffee’s, all sorts of teas and much more!) The staff in the breakfast area were lovely and very friendly also. The breakfast area isn’t huge but it works perfectly fine.
The staff all throughout the hotel are very kind and friendly, from the bar staff, the restaurant staff, the reception staff, the maids and the maintenance staff. They all deserve a big thank you for how great they are.
The location suited us perfectly, we are a couple in our late 20’s and whilst we like good food and a few drinks we don’t like rowdy places. There were no English bars in sight which was perfect for us, the bars and restaurants are all locally owned and authentic. Straight outside the hotel to the left and right there is a cluster of bars and restaurants. They were quiet so we mostly walked right 25 minutes to Perissa, this is a flat, easy walk in one direction and there was more bars & restaurants which were busier there. Seeing different areas of Santorini (such as Perissa) made me realise how happy I was to be staying at this hotel, busier areas had hotels that were much smaller and a lot more compact due to their location.
We only returned from our holiday today and we’ve already been looking at booking this hotel again next year. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

I stayed here with my 10 year old daughter in August 2020, and i could not have felt more safer. Beautifully decorated and spacious rooms with plenty of storage and a comfy sofa, great AC, wonderful grounds, extremely clean. The hotel are taking covid precautions with all staff wearing masks and keeping their distance. Excellent, personal and friendly service from all the staff who all spoke good english. The beach is just across the road, a 2min walk. Outside the hotel there are lots of lovely restaurants, that get great reviews a few bar, a few beach clubs for those who like music on the beach and a shop all within 2 minute walk, plus a bus stop that takes you into Fira (Thira) which is highly worthy of a visit. The only downside was that the food wasn't amazing but just OK, and the lack of hotel entertainment for kids in the evening and day, but it did not take away from the lovely stay we had and there are lots of restaurants and bars on your doorstep if you want them plus two lovely pools. To see the typical whitewashed, cliff facing, properties of Santorini, you'll need to take a trip to Oia and Fira (Thira), Fira about 20 minutes and Oia 30-40mins. Our holiday highlight was an excursion we booked through the hotel, a luxury sunset catamaran trip with Spiridakos cruises around Oia, Fira and White Beach, a memory that we will treasure forever, it was incredible. I did not want to leave this hotel! Tried to stay but they were full! We would love to return.

Myself, my boyfriend and my parents stayed at Santo Miramare for a week at the end of June. Overall, the hotel is lovely, the grounds and rooms a very well kept and clean. We stayed in rooms 127 and 128 which are on the ground floor. Our room had a decent size terrace with a few bushes giving us some privacy however most people walking past could see into our room. My parent’s room 128 was down the side which felt a little dismal and out of the way. I would suggest paying a little extra for a sea view room or requesting a room on a higher floor.
The breakfast in the hotel was amble and tasty. Not the biggest selection and it did get a bit boring towards the end of the holiday but there was enough. We did not have any evening meals in the hotel as there was plenty of gorgeous restaurants along the Perivolos/Perissa beach right at the back of the hotel. Although, we did have lunch a couple of times around the pool bar which was delicious.
The pool and restaurant areas are very pretty and kept very keen. The only place that lets this hotel down is the lobby, it’s a little tired and is a little off putting as you first walk into the hotel.
I cannot say anything bad about the staff at the hotel, nothing was too much trouble. The receptionists always happy to help, the cleaners kept our room smelling gorgeous with fresh towels every day. One young waitress did shine from the rest (unfortunately we did not get her name). She worked in the pool bar in the day time and always brought my dad a cappuccino every morning.
The hotel location is great, the hotel offers multiple trips and organises taxis to Fira, Oia or wherever you want go. So don’t worry if you don’t book anything before you come, they can sort that for you. We went to Fira for sunset (which is a must!!), Oia for the day and did a boat trip booked through our Jet2 rep.
My only negative about the hotel is the towel situation. It is true there are crazy people getting up at the crack of dawn to secure sunbeds with umbrellas. Hopefully the hotel stops this going forward as it is very frustrating to see empty sunbeds for hours on end.
If you are unsure on what side of Santorini to stay on, I would definitely recommend Periviolos/Perissa. Fira and Oia are overcrowded, overpriced and full of cruise ship tourist. They’re nicer to visit rather than stay.
Overall, our stay was very pleasant and relaxing and we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in Santo Miramare last week. Immediately on arrival, it looked beautiful and Edmund (whos really lovely and does so much) took our bags up and told us a bit about the resort. Our room was really clean and had a lovely view of the pool and could see the sea. Bathroom was very clean, towels are changed everyday and the room is cleaned immaculatly. Pools are kept very clean. There are two larger pools and a kids pool. Sunbeds are very comfy but make sure to put a towel down early or your less likely to get one. Also beach right outside with free sunbeds with the hotel. Water is lovely. Breakfast is very nice, could do with a bit more selection but otherwise really nice. The staff are really friendly, especially Dimitra and Orestis. You can get lunch and dinner at the pool bar where they do nice meals. I recommend the greek pizza and the burgers. Two mins right from the hotel they do fresh ice cream and greek yogurt which wa lovely. They made our stay really special and was always smiling. Lots of restaurants within a really short walk, you can turn left or right and reach lots of choices. Mini marked within 100 yards just go keft and past the place with the swings there will be a sign saying mini market. Also, hotel will book excursions if you want to go anywhere. Trip to volcanic island, hot springs, thirissia and oia are really good. Felt veru luxury. Already looking at going back next year. Beds also comfy slept well. Nice air condtitioning as well.

Stayed for 6 nights and only had a full, undisturbed night's sleep for one of those - and that was only successful due to literally not sleeping at all the previous two nights.
The first issue is that the blue emergency exit signs in the bedrooms are so bright that you're literally trying to sleep with a light on in the room. We took to hanging a towel over the sign at night but even that only muted the glow slightly.
The second issue is that the bathroom doors drag on the floor, making a very loud noise that vibrates through the walls and floor. If you've got people in the rooms next to you - and especially above you - prepare to be woken up by the entire room rumbling and making a massive grinding sound any time they go to the toilet during.the night. Combine this with the noise from nearby bars and roads and it's a recipe for poor sleep. This hotel also doesn't give you any sort of "do not disturb" sign, so once you do manage to get to sleep prepare yourself to be woken by the cleaners letting themselves in.
The pool area also comes with the standard resort problems. There aren't enough sun loungers and even fewer parasols, and despite warnings in the rooms that towels left to reserve loungers will be cleared at 4am and 10am (nobody was removing them, at all) it's basically impossible to get a spot by the pool unless you get up at the crack of dawn and become part of the problem.
It's not all bad. The food at the pool bar is among the best in the local area and very reasonably priced, and the staff and friendly and helpful. But it's hard to appreciate this stuff when you haven't slept and have been forced to lie on the grass with a towel because you can't get near the pool. I dread to think what this place would be like at the height of summer.

Dear Sirs We are sincerely sorry that you had problems with your sleep. The purpose of the safety light is to indicate the room's exit in the event of a power cut. This way, in the event that the room needs to be evacuated immediately and someone wakes up suddenly, they can immediately see the escape route without panic. It is mandatory for a hotel to obtain a fire safety permit. Despite all this, if any customer complains to us, we can disable it for a few days at the customer's responsibility. We are sorry that you did not inform us about this issue. Regarding the pool area, the hotel has many sunbeds, but they are not enough for all the hotel's customers. For this reason, the hotel has a private area on the beach in front of the hotel with umbrellas and sunbeds that are provided free of charge to our customers and are always in sufficient supply. thank you

We stayed only 2 nights and were sad to leave! Initially having come from a sister property in Fira (El Greco) we were disappointed with our lower level room but that quickly faded. Beach club on black sand beach was amazing particularly as you could order food/drinks from the hotel. The pools were large (2 deep pools, a shallow pool for kids and a hottub) with plenty of recliners. Pool bar, breakfast and buffet dinner were great. Restaurant staff and reception staff were amazing. Reception was also able to schedule covid tests at the hotel, which was a real plus! The only 2 negatives were a lack of an in-room coffee maker and no hotel staff at the pools to control unruly/loud kids who were running and diving (despite posted signs). Would definitely recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. I would also add that contrary to other posters I thought the plexiglass partitions in the restaurant were great. Not only did they provide protection for the staff they also created order as folks were forced to take their turn and it made for an orderly service. No trouble being understood although at times the portions were larger than wanted.
