The hotel was at less than 100 m from the beach (black volcano type sand) and near small shops or boutiques which was convenient. Unfortunately, the bed and pillow sheets were so damp that you could feel the moisture. Air conditionning did not resolve the issue. The safe could not be used since we could not open (tested empty) it even with the key they provided and our key pad combination (secret). The pools were so shallow (less than 1m - 3 feet) no one used them.
We are very disappointed in our choice staying in this hotel. It is in a great location but clearly not the best hotel and may be over-rated. We stayed in one of the out buildings that has loft rooms, and there is no place comfortable to sit, the shower did not drain, wifi was poor at best, lighting was bad, and we had to unplug lamps to plug in chargers for phones the first room had no shutter on one window, mold on the wall , and needed paint. I have a hunch there may be better rooms on the property but we were given the worst, and they did not look very busy. Our towels were not white, soft, or very thick and just left in a pile on the counter. We opted out of Hotel breakfast as it was expensive for a couple and 1-km away were nice beach restaurants with fresh food. Only hotel in 30 days that did not have Breakfast included. We booked via an Expedia which is a bad choice in most cases in my estimation. That backed us in a corner for negotiations because payment is via Expedia. This is the only hotel in 30 nights that made us prepay 30 days early. I feel certain but cannot prove it that it said on Expedia no payment until check out and that was the primary reason to use Expedia. Shame on Expedia for allowing this to continue, we were told the hotel was heavily booked, but we did not see the people, except for a tour group that showed up on night 3. We asked to be moved from our loft room and the office was cordial about it and actually gave us a choice of two rooms to move into. The rooms we stayed in were barely 2-star and Expedia should look into this and not allow it to continue. Co-Companies Hotwire, Hotels, Expedia, Priceline and Orbitz need to get out to the field and do some inspections. Sigh…
was a nice location, walking distance to the beach. checked in to the room and the aircon only have the switch on and off button with no controller. asked the lady at reception and was told that the aircon is standard and do not have a controller. I asked her what if everyone's standard are different? and if it get too cold at night then we have to get up to switch it off and there are no airflow in the room it will then get hot so we have to get up to switch it back on? she said yes! (WTF?) refused to give us the controller and after a conversation she said "here take it, take it" very rude. everyone enjoy a different temperature where they feel comfortable. don't expect everyone to have the same standard because no one are the same.
Perfect location, lovely place, friendly and helpful staff. Almost new, built in 2014, looks amazing. Two swimming pools, beautyful garden, great breakfasts. Ideal for couples and also for groups. We loved it.
We loved this hotel, from the spacious and clean rooms to the swimming pool and nice breakfast, but mostly because of the warm people who run it. Wi-Fi works without problems in all areas. All stuff were always there to help with a smile. Free sunbeds awaits you at the beach. We definitely recommend it and hopefully we'll be back one day!
